I would not say 2016 black was better than Blue. However only played once this year and black came out on top

The fall tournaments are a great indicator of where your child will be placed next summer. The blue kids that are playing on the mixed teams will be dropped or are on the bubble. Completely false 100% true They are mixed teams because not every one signs up for fall tournaments. You have no idea what you're talking about.

TG black vs Yj blue YJ 3 ages better, TG 3 ages better, seems like both clubs are awful close to each other. These 2 clubs are the cream of the crop. Maryland eat your heart out..
2015 age YJ 2016 age TG 2017 age YJ 2018 age YJ 2019 age TG 2020 age TG
Please leave your feedback and keep it clean. be civil. Add 2021 age YJ and you break your hypothetical tie...

As an outsider to both clubs but looking for a place for my daughter to tryout for next summer I am trying to understand. One club is an elite year round program who claims to only take the best but actually takes everyone and has year round coaches that are far superior to the 8-10 practice part time summer Top Gun program with terrible coaches that sleep and eat during games. Using both dramatically different models, the programs are basically tied in top team performance? The only difference is one program has 6 zeros in their checking account and one has 7.

Please leave your feedback and keep it clean. be civil. Its tuff to be civil when you are so lopsided. 2016 YJ has beaten TG 6 of seven times they have played and have beaten them in every championship tournament they have been in together. YJ 2016 blue has won the last 8 championship tournaments they have played in beating MD several times(Something TG has never done), sky walkers, heroes, md united, steps, TG etc. YJ has won national draw the last two years beating TG in the semis and knocking them out in pool play the other time. The one game TG won was at a showcase tournament when YJ was playing w a mixed team as the high school playoffs were still being played and they were missing multiple players. Those are the facts so please try to explain how any objective person could believe its even close.

That may be true but fall tournaments are great recruiting days. for 5th graders? Of course not. I'm speaking of fall tournaments from 9th (maybe 8th?) grade on.

Net exactly eating our hearts out. Plus with 2020 TG coach leaving, not sure LI will own that division this year. M&D 2020 only lost that one game all year last year.

Would like honest opinions of those who have paid for the YJ recruiting service? Was it worth it? Could you have done it alone? How often was communication? Was is more effective for YJ girls than non YJ girls? Thank you

Seems TG can do more with less which then comes back to its all about the kids who join. The top kids will be top kids regardless of who coaches them!

The blue kids will be placed together for each fall tournament and the second team if entered will be gold plus bubble blue players. You don't have to believe it but its true.

Why do you consistently call the YJ 2017 2nd blue team your 3rd team? Your 3rd team was not in Denver as I have a friend who plays on the 3rd team. This is probably the 4th or 5th time I have seen you play down your 2nd team at that age level just to say the U15TG team lost to your "3rd" team. If you were there then you would know that it was not a blowout, that TG was winning with about 7 minutes left, that there were many controversial calls with one including a question with the clock at halftime with a penalty and the time keeper happened to be affiliated with YJ, that the last call before TG possession change at end of game should have been at the minimum an obstruction by the goalie besides the fact she was being tomahawked all the way in to the goal (which was scored BTW) and that YJ stalled with at least 5 minutes left in the game. YJ won yes, but they are a solid 2017 team. Stop putting them down as it insults your own organization. No one has ever challenged that they beat the mixed 2017/2018 TG team, but stop referring to them as the "3rd"team as they clearly are not moron!

To all girls teams, please do the boys communities a favor and sign the FO petition. Many boys have worked very hard for what they have perfected and we feel like the rules committee got it wrong.

Go back to the boys forum. Why should the girls sign a petition that has nothing to do with their sport? Did you sign any petitions regarding keeping helmets out of girl's sports? This makes your petition seem weak if you are asking girls to sign it.

You really are dense, no excuses and controversial calls do not fit together and you thinking something is a controversial call does not make it a fact. Why even mention stalling? How is it degrading to say the team that took third was the third best team at the tournament.Actually complementing all YJ teams saying that they are deep and its funny your d-bag TG parents keep trying to rip any YJ team not considered blue when your top team loses to them.

YJ has a 2018 commit to Florida!! Awesome YJ clearly leads the way in recruiting. Heard many if 2018 already have visits set up. Next up 2018
As for IVY takes to long and they may as well take money to ND, Duke Hopkins and UNC cheaper

While thats sounds great.. how can any college coach seriously recruit a kid who hasn't taken 1 class in high school? I'm sure she can play but can the kid read and write?

What club sends more to ivy? That being said there are many factors, Ivy League traditionally recruits later, no money available for athletics, obviously very expensive and most households on LI will not qualify for much aid. A strong argument can be made that going to UVA, Duke, UNC, Stanford, Hopkins, ND etc. makes a lot more sense when you leave school with 150000 in less debt. You bring up Florida as if its some horrible education when in fact it is not .

Graduating from unc with one of the soft majors levy let's her players take is not and will never be the same as a degree from hypp. Ditto for any other school that strongly encourages their players to only major in soft majors. Check out the engineers at Hopkins, there's one. It's not just the school it's the degree. Penn and Princeton are consistently top programs often much stronger than duke ND and Hopkins. Is it the early recruiting rose basis her program on that discourages many qualified girls from ivies? Just a thought!!!

Some families see lacrosse as an advantage in obtaining admission to Ivy league schools. Girls recruited to Duke, Notre Dame and ACC schools etc may choose an Ivy wanting to be competitive but not entirely focused on winning a Final Four. Although lacrosse is a big part of the lives of these young girls, they may not want it to be the major component of their college life. You have to find a balance of what works for you. To assume the girls who choose Ivies, Stanford as well as top academic DIII schools like Amherst and Williams were not being recruited to the big lacrosse schools is naive. This seems to be the trend amongst districts like Garden City, Manhasset and Cold Spring Harbor. I am sure girls from these schools play spead out on several of the Lacrosse clubs on Long Island like Yellow Jackets, Top Gun and Liberty. The web sites for all of these clubs show girls attending various colleges to play lacrosse. Liberty seems to have a large percentage of Ivy League attendees and commits.

The beauty of Non Ivy is they can get most anybody in just look at the press conferences from some of the other sports at these big schools you mention. They have trouble putting a sentance together. Thats why they can commit to a 8th or 9th grader who havent even taken the PSAT. The big clubs want to put you up on their website as soon as they can because it gives them a competitive advantage

YJ has a 2018 commit to Florida!! Awesome YJ clearly leads the way in recruiting. Heard many if 2018 already have visits set up. Next up 2018
As for IVY takes to long and they may as well take money to ND, Duke Hopkins and UNC cheaper Ivy's have the by far the largest endowments in the country and are in fact the cheapest schools to go to, unless you're very wealthy nobody pays the sticker price. The lack of athletic money available means nothing, they have an entire array of sports prgrams for both men and women that are full of athletes gettting academic and or need based money equall to and even surpassing athletic scholarships. The average student at Harvard pays under 20K/year via the giant endowment fund

My kid always dreamed of going Ivy and we were fine with that and am very proud of him. That being said you can get a degree at Ivy League schools that are not worth the paper they are printed on or you can make connections and get a degree that will open many doors. The person that knocked the players at UNC is also way off base , their are valedictorians from Long Island who were denied at UNC and the degree a kid gets is up to them . As far as coach Levy allowing them to take classes you are just wrong , they have a couple kids in the honors college( very rigorous) as well as a player who plays both soccer and lacrosse.

what club sends more to Ivy's? Liberty Are you really this pathetic, Liberty is not really a travel club it's a Manhasset high school supplement and yes Manhasset sends a lot of kids to Ivy League schools. Why do you think that is? because there as smart as you are jealous.
