OP CageSage Back of THE CAGE Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 7,609 Likes: 1	BOTC is opening our Fall 2013 through Summer 2014 thread covering the Boys 2024 (2nd Grade) age group. In order to introduce this year's thread, we are categorizing this age group's tryouts by date. 8/24, Outlaws, 9:00am 9/07, Team 91, 9:00am 9/07, Revolution, 6:00pm 9/14, Outlaws, 9:00am 9/14, Legacy, 9:00am 9/14, Team 91, 3:00pm 9/22, Legacy, 9:00am 10/5, Revolution, 6:00pm

Anonymous Unregistered A	Can anyone comment on how often their team practices? Also whether the boys rotate through all positions or in a set spot? Our team is a bit of a disaster so trying to gauge how much is coaching vs my expectations.

Coaches for these teams are dads or doing double or even triple duty. Stick with it, 3rd grade is much better and 4th grade it starts to really take shape. Finish these weeks out and make sure your kid is having fun. In the fall attend multiple tryouts and see what the best fit is. I will say everything for me starts with the coach.

Anonymous Unregistered A	My 2024 kid still sometimes runs the wrong way when he gets a ground ball...just let the kids play. Are you really going to keep score?

Anonymous Unregistered A	My 2024 plays on one of the above mentioned clubs, its only 800 or so... I still catch him once and a while shooting down airplanes with his stick, makes me think! he is having fun and our town does nothing above and beyond PAL. Enjoy your summer and thank your lucky stars everyday for your healthy happy kids. OJ.

Others I hope they have been practicing Personal trainer (ex-MLL) plus a goalie coach, strength coach and most important the team doctor to keep the boys on the proper cycle... To avoid detection during random testing!

Not really thinking that they are ready to play. But these little guys have plenty of heart and they sure do have fun, hopefully they surprise us.
