It was 2017 Mack for Manhasset that lit it up. Has the most upside of any attack in the Manhasset program. Will be starting with Keough next year. 3rd attack up in the air depending on what they do with Dunn.
If he was good, he would have been on varsity. Dunn will play midfield where he's most needed and can invert when he's not poled. Gavin and Keough are the starters. The question is who fills the right side. Duran, the senior should get first crack.
Heard there are a couple of rising Juniors to watch as well

Who won 2016 bracket at Laxfest yesterday? Swwetlax won A with two LI ringers on board. 91 won AA, but lost soundly to the Sweetlax team last weekend. Swwetlax from upstate raiding LI key players with "sweet" scholarships! Seems to be working for them!

Dunn is Set's best attack but he's playing out of position and should be moved back and on lefty wing full time. He'd light it up like nobody since English. At middle they are just grinding him down and wearing him out. Watch him at attack in the summer if you get a chance.

Moving Dunn out of position solved one problem but created another. He's too valuable at attack for them to make that mistake again.

Where is Dunn playing in college? Is he 2016 or 2015? If you had Dunn, Keough and Mack at attack you might have the best attack line on the island. Nice problem to have.

Maybe this guy is right . The coach may try to promote his son on the first midfield line. After all he strong armed the showcase evaluators to put his own kid on the 2016 Roster.

Current Barracudas are not as strong as previously. Committed players no longer on the team, whether playing on a committed team within or outside Express. the expanded roster exposes many of the weaker players, who would not be on this team had it stayed intact. Despite some weaknesses, it is an opportunity for all to be seen

Congrats! But why is this on the 2016 discussion board? Are you trying to make the 2016 kids/parents nervous? The kid didn't even play varsity this year. How is it you expect him to step in and take over? The game you cite was against other 2017s who had never played together. Maybe he's great against his own age, but in order to be a standout he's got to prove himself against 2016s and 2015s who play on a team. Calm your jets.

If set is like any other top lacrosse HS, if too deep at attack they will keep the younger down on JV no matter how "good" he is, better to play and start every game than garbage time on Varsity. No way would it happen.

Kevin's mom here. I have waited the 24 hour rule and against perhaps my better judgement am allowing myself to reply here. Neither his parents or any relative are responsible for these posts. We have only viewed the thread because our friends told us of the content. (This 2016 thread seems less vicious than the 2017 thread however)
Kevin's play stands or falls on its own. While its nice that he has supporters, the opportunity for him to contribute to a very deep and talented attack group in Manhasset next year will be determined on the field - not on this or any other forum

After an underwhelming season offensively, nobody is locked in for next year and nobody should feel safe at their position. That would go for Manhasset or any other team that did not live up to its potential.

Hey Kevin's mom - your son is an excellent player and is good enough to shake things up next season. The mentality of entitlement that some of the incumbent varsity attack have that they are already "set" is what's wrong with what's going on. When kids feel locked in they don't work as hard. Hopefully your son helps makes the situation uncomfortable so everybody raises their game and the talent on the team, whoever starts, reaches its full potential. Competition for positions is healthy for a team - the more the better. The "locked in" mentality is poison.
