For PAL according to their current rules you can only play 1 year up so K can play up with 1st. K can’t play up on a mixed 1st-2nd grade team. 1st can play up with 2nd etc. etc. Only wrinkle is 2nd graders can’t play up with 3rd grade. So would have to repeat 2nd grade team again. They consider the younger grades as the development league and 3rd grade as the first “real” league. So according to their safety concerns 2nd graders can’t play up with 3rd. After that year though you can then play 1 year up again after that.

No. Lotsa of better choices in my opinion. And when it gets to the recruiting years they seem to not get a lot of kids committed

Turtles is not terrible; they have their own indoor facility and offer a very casual introduction to the game. Great intro program, if you are looking for more than just town. Some of their older teams have had trouble being competitive, and parents tend to move away once they see their kids gain more interest in a more competitive atmosphere. The organization has really good directors and management they seem to be heading in the right direction but like any program it takes time.

I agree with this. Less intense program but a good place for kids to learn, at least initially.

The turtles preach development and to play other sports... much less competitive as a result. An alternative to the lax club craze. I am assuming they play some B tournaments on the island. many things dependent on the coach
