Got an axe to grind with the National Draw pool play. Every year they do this and it really starting to [lacrosse] me off. Each pool is very talent orientated. For example, an age group consists of 7 pools of teams with 5 teams in each pool. The bottom pool on the website is the best and contains all the best teams. Many of these pools contain the top 5 teams at the tournament, TG blk, YJ blue, SW blue, M&D blk, etc..... So what happens is only one of the five best teams in the tournament advance out of the pool play. You have very weak teams advancing out of weak pools into the playoffs. They should place the top teams atop each pool so the better teams can play in elimination games. Funny part of it is when the lower teams run their pool and make a playoff appearance, some parents think these teams are stronger than the top pool teams that may not make out of their top 5 team pool. And anyone crying CR schedule conspiracy, take a look at the schedules, they are in the same boat trying to advance out of a killer pool of top teams. No conspiracy there.

Not true in the 2018 bracket ... M&D Black and TG Black fight it out but YJ nowhere to be found in that pool And what is funny is that you care what "some parents think". What does that matter to you? Living through your kid much?

A few tournys divide teams by talent level into two groups for each age group, each playing for a championship of their division. At least that takes out some of the unbearable to watch games, then with proper seeding the tournaments are great in the upper divisions.

Yj play nobody go 4 - 0 .... topguns or skywalkers go 4 - 0. the other is out. tie breaker is goals against. topguns and skywalkers have to play each other so they should both score some goals.... Yj goals against will be lower because they play nobody. Yj advance to playoffs because they gave up less goals then topguns or skywalkers.....

Actually M&D black always seems to have the toughest pool schedules, I believe very much on purpose because they are looking for the competition. They usually have two or three brutal games in pool play which sometimes trips them up getting out of the pool. I don't think they get caught up in the tournament win at all, not like the LI clubs. And credit to them, if you look at them from top to bottom, they are the best program in the nation, not even close. And NO I'm not a MD parent, just a LI parent keeping it real.

So wait, you think it would be better to have the 5 best teams in the tournament play weaker teams and blow them out just so they can reach the playoffs and win/lose against a team of their caliber? That's just a cowardly approach.

I would rather the best teams play each other in a regulation game instead of a 20 minute playoff game. That is the philosophy of the tournament directors as well. These good teams travel down to play the best in full games. They realize that winning the tournament is not as important as ensuring the top three or four teams in the country get to play full games against each other. Not one team playing a 1/2 game, full games really show you who the best team is that day.

You gain nothing from playing in the 15-2 blowouts. Learn to win against the best and you build a team. If we can't beat the best teams in pool play what would make you believe we could beat them in a playoff game. Greater lessons will be learned by a loss to a quality team than a blowout win against a weak B team.

The light still needs to shine on the schedule fixing and lack of integrity happening. Carol Rose can no longer get a free pass and it can't be swept under the rug. No one is larger than the game and she has embarrassed LI and this sport long enough with her antics. I hope she is laughing now because it's all about to change.

They play the same exact schedule but not one another and that is the real shame of this feud. The girls all benefit from playing the top competition and shouldn't that be the focus, the girls development?

It all goes back to one of the first comments, whoever emerges out of the power pool should win the tournament. The unfortunate part is then the champion is often decided by goals against as tie pool records go out the window. If your MD play SW, YJ, TG all in same pool, the road becomes harder. At least a team or two will see soft pool schedules and have an advantage.

IF ND is admitting that that bracket is the best and since there are 7 brackets overall, they should take the team with the second best record also from that bracket and make it a 8 team 'playoff'

Typical YJ response. The posters comments on the scheduling is factual. Why the name calling. Address the truth. It's set up that way to give an advantage. That's the truth. It's also disrespectful to the game and the tournament and you and me. Defend it if you are a cheater and feel you need schedule fixing to win. Open your eyes please.
Are you really this stupid , let me help you out YJ plays MD and Skywalkers at the 2019 age group in pool play with 1 team coming out, TG is in a separate pool w clearly lower caliber teams. My question is are you this dense or just being a sh-- stirrer .

I would rather the best teams play each other in a regulation game instead of a 20 minute playoff game. That is the philosophy of the tournament directors as well. These good teams travel down to play the best in full games. They realize that winning the tournament is not as important as ensuring the top three or four teams in the country get to play full games against eaoch other. Not one team playing a 1/2 game, full games really show you who the best team is that day. I would much rather have my kid play in the toughest bracket. You're right 100%. Hey TG conspiracy lunatics, is this really what you want to be associated with. Even when the facts clearly do not support your position you are so blinded by your hatred of CR you cannot see.

Why any parent from TG would hate or care about CR is beyond me. My kids play TG and the only time I or my daughters are concerned with YJ is when their teams play against them. That has only happened once. The YJ are a very successful club respect it and be happy with the decision you made for your daughter.

CR is easy to hate. She is unfair and hurts more than she helps. She has no integrity and uses her positions to squash players advancement for, at times, the betterment of undeserving kids. You know its true as does all the parents who watch her schmooze with the same select few and not even say hello to the rest of her clubs families. She should be embarrassed.

Or you drank so much CR Kool-Aid that you can't see the forest from the trees.

Wrong. Pools are set up for YJ... Yj, topguns, skywalkers, and 3 weak teams in same pool... topguns play skywalkers. I only looked at the schedule for the 2020 and 2021 and your rant could not be more wrong. Top YJ and Top Gun teams are in the same pool as top Skywalkers and M&D teams. They play the same exact schedule but not one another and that is the real shame of this feud. The girls all benefit from playing the top competition and shouldn't that be the focus, the girls development? First the 2021 TG team should focus on beating teams like Team Elevate who really dominated them at National Draw before they worry about M&D - I don't think that TG team is anywhere near being a top team - would you agree there is a lot of room for improvement there?

Ok responding to the fact that 2019 did not make playoffs . Well simply not the strongest in field. Lost to sky walkers who won it all. Amazing how u feel blue is so superior to the other teams under you. Tournament not set up for the best interest of your team but rather for all. And on this weekend it was tg and skywalkers

Skywalkers take 2, TG takes 1 and M&D takes 1 at the elementary and MS grad years. Unfortunately IWLCA tourney in Richmond took M&D out of the HS brackets.
