They do it right by being honest and telling you excatly what you are getting. 9 mids, 6 attack, 6 defense, 2 goalies. You know going in. You don't show up after paying because you only had 24 hours to make a decision and find out there are 12 mids 8 attack 8 defense and 2 goalies. The coaches are solid good guys who know the game, played the game and have been coaching for 25+ years on all levels. They only have 2 teams this year but I always hear good things about them. They do winter workouts, spring league and then solid summer schedule and it doesnt cost you an arm and a leg. I may try to track them down this weekend and get more info. They are playing in the JDRF. You know all this how? Sounds like lot of insight for someone looking to track them down. lol Good luck!! Not bashing them here, I think they know the game. However, there's a reason they folded this thing to begin with. I have heard that they were a bit disorganized and things weren't run very well. Couldn't handle the non-lacrosse stuff, as the program grew it got worse. From my experience there needs to be a solid administrator involved.... I wish them luck.

You sound like a lot of Maryland parents. Large amounts of non-lacrosse stuff at the high school ages, which is really pathetic. If these are "elite" clubs, why they can't just keep the parents away and pick and play the best kids is a hard thing to understand.

No one else in this division has attack players like them. Maybe fl$ should have taken them when they tried out.really?

Which team is better? fl$ should have grabbed them? Come on, grow up!It doesn't matter at this age as long as you are in recruiting tournaments. Bragging rights as to which team is better is for dumb parents who are concerned with the team magnet on the back of their car. If your son is a defensemen, you'd rather have those attack on an opponents team so that you/coaches can see how they rate against the best.

That maybe so at that event. However, the reason why every D1 coach in the country is on the side lines at Showtime, Philly Showcase and Jake Reed is to see the kids play without their team...

My experience is the kids who play within a team concept at the individual events and college camps are the one the coaches actually are interested in. The ball hogs are seen for what they are. Of course many kids and their parents dont understand that.

Due to the split between Adrenaline and NSCLA, their respective tournaments are both this weekend. EVERY D1 school of note will also be at NSCLA.
All really good teams will be at Crabfeast. We all know which games will get the most coaches on those sidelines.

My take is the Summer will be more broken up than in the past with college coaches. I disagree all the best teams are doing the same tournaments, which is a shame, but agree the teams listed for NSLCA, Crabfeast and fl$ in 3d are most impressive.
I suspect that with 2-3 legit tournaments on same weekends is the new normal, and college coaches will split up their staff to canvas it. If you saw every D1 name coach at the Crabfeast in years past, that might be a thing of the past. The Crabfeast is also diluting more in the recent year or two because the club owner just blackballs other good clubs for stupid reasons. We all get it that he hates FCA for building a great program across the street and won't let Blackwolf in either just to name two, but to not welcome these other local elite programs at his big event makes him a fool more and more. I would guess coaches need to take seriously these different places like Adrenaline, 3d and IL are now running high level tournaments. We can all find out soon enough. Also, by now we have all been to the tournament where it lists big name schools and we could swear we missed seeing the guys from those programs, or at least could note it wasn't the head coach or first assistant there. Just because Hopkins is there doesn't mean Hopkins is really there with the top two evaluators.

UA tryouts, 8 hours on the field and every D1 head coach in the country watching in Baltimore for $175 = best bargain in lacrosse.
Brine 2 hour tryout and hand back your pinkie against rec league kids for $165 = worst value and most pathetic money grab for nothing in lacrosse.

As a former college coach , not lacrosse, I feel that both perspectives have validity. When we were recruiting watching games we needed to know how the athlete played within a system, what kind of team player he was and how that athlete could contribute to a team. We found that multi sport team athletes had a higher sports iq then single sport athletes. An athlete that can play within a system is usually coachable also. The skills portion of individual workouts were important but has a great flaw. Many many times we saw athletes look like absolute stars when working through skills and drills. These were talented can't miss star type players. However, these same players just had no team iq and shrunk in a game. It was more frequent a player was a little less talentd in drills but a better game performer. It was no easy process and all coaches make mistakes. The one thing that always stood out was speed you can't teach it in any sport.
