Section XI website says 13, but it does say "tentative". With dates and times associated with the seedings I would guess 13. Not sure where the 12 is coming from.

A poster yesterday had an aneurism yelling about 12 teams.... Hope he's ok!

Minimun the first 5 minutes and if you're confortably up, the last 5

couldn't give them just a few minutes and if the game looked tougher than expected make a quick sub. Sad way to end their varsity years

Any successful program always plays their starters and only substitues when necessarry and the substitues or playing time has nothing to do with politics. If you're child is not getting enough playing time they clearly don't meet the expectations, don't put enough effort in, or just simply shouldn't be on the team. At a highschool level nobody cares about making a player happy by putting them in the game to lift up their self esteem when it puts the game at risk. Every coach wants to win. If you're child is upset because they are not playing then they are in for a rude awakening at the college level if they even make it. Go ahead and be "SO glad" youre child doesn't go to ESM i'm sure they'll make it far if they're babied. ESM has a successful program and have made it to LIC's the past two years. Facts don't lie. You can't take anything from that program and the coaching is clearly working with the success they've been having. In the end, the parents complaining and being immature need to stop because you're not changing anything and in the real world this doesn't get you anywhere but trouble and you're setting a bad example for your children.

What was the score of the BBP vs. Cold Spring Harbor game today? Not listed in Newsday.

I just got home from the West Islip/ Hauppauge game. WOW the game was a battle! WI 12 H 11 in 4OT. Hauppauge has some team. Don't want to play them again this year!

Can someone please post the Nassau playoff bracket when available? Coaches were meeting tonight. Thank you.

Every D1 coach I spoke to says 13. Why doesn't Section XI fix the website? Gonna have some cranky folks at #13!!!

GC coach is not affiliated with YJ club. unfortunately speculation is GC is becoming a pay to play club in it's way.

We sent someone to video tape this game. Game was not played. There were no referees which is shocking because it was a double header with Farmingdale playing Sayville right after. Kind of strange.

I think North Shore is now a "B" school, CSH will have a cake walk in Nassau "c"

Was at West Islip High yesterday and caught the girls game vs. Hauppauge. What a game! West Islip has a fantastic team, but was gifted the game yesterday by the refs. The refs disallowed the winning goal by a girl from Hauppauge. What was so surprising to us was how the refs did the stick check, after the go-ahead goal by Hauppauge, with seconds left on the clock. He jammed the ball into the pocket of her stick, in full view of everyone, with so much force, ANY girls stick would've failed. I went there to enjoy Senior Day, and I did. Exciting game, but unfortunately the refs dictated the outcome of the game, not the girls. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs. Congrats to all the Seniors for West Islip. Great job by the students yesterday, giving the game a real playoff atmosphere.

Can't Pat-Med still get in with a win against connetquot and a sachem north loss?

EI lost 4 games by 1 goal , 1 game by 2 goals , 1 game by 4 goals..... bad coaching this year by EI.

How can you say that about EI How many did you graduate last year. And how many of them were over 5'10". Makes a difference.

Yes you had a wicked 5 game slide with the best teams. Didn't hear about the coaching back then.

Your wins came to teams with losing records. The teams you beat had 15 wins in total. Yes you were in some games but your season was like your last two games. Bayshore a power house now that they are healthy showed you can't hang with the top teams. Commack who has beaten teams with 19 wins and lost to all the power teams lately is not a feather in your cap.

They might as well skip the Long Island championship and just go to states. They have 1 more year to dominate in the C division then they fall off a cliff .

How important are the final season Newsday stats? Should a player mention them when emailing a college? Thank you

It was a nice ride to the cliff for them!

Heard from several spectators that this was best lax game they had ever seen. Crazy back and forth affair. Clean and physical (only one or two cards issued). Four period OT affair with WI pulling out the victory after illegal stick took away what would have been game winning goal at end of regulation for Hauppauge. (What a set of Lax Balls on those officials for calling that!!!)

This week's games and Playoffs should be exciting!

LI All-American Showcase: My daughter just got her invitation to play in this showcase. We went online to check it out and it appears that every single coach of the teams playing is a former YJ player. So if every coach is a former YJ player is this showcase a "true showcase" or is it a YJ showcase? What colleges are registered to come?

Also if not included how school is going and anything else important Coaches want to know the whole student/athlete

My daughter received a similar invite. I'm pretty sure the rosters have been posted. The event coincides w/ Hofstra Tournament on same weekend. Priced at $150 per girl for one game...kinda steep... Tried to get info about how selection was made and never got any confirmation...

Div 1 seedings will be determined after today and Wednesday's games. What are the final regular season predictions??
