The biggest problem that Northport has is that the league season sees them not playing enough top flight competition so that when the Class A cross-over with Section 8 happens (Nassau), they will get run over. Shoreham-Wading River is playing well on both the girls and boys side this season.

Youch you are putting words in my mouth that i did not say. What I said was they graduated players that had way more experience some of them were on the team since 8th grade. You were the one saying we should have never let the coach go and that its not a cakewalk. Never was a cakewalk just girls who worked hard to get to be where they were Double Youch.

So now that Bay Shore beat the 3rd best team In Nassau
What does that say for Nassau Competition? Bayshore struggles in Suffolk?
On any day Northport,Bayshore, floyd, west islip, melville, hauppauge would give any Nassau team a great game. SWR and RP just cant hang this year!

It says that Bay Shore scored three in overtime after a 10-10 game. Section VIII is still the strongest until a Section XI team takes out Garden City. Going to be some great games coming down the stretch. Who do you like in Class A or Class B?

Clearly, Garden City is quality. Manhasset is also typically solid come playoff time. Wantagh despite the loss will be competitive as will Farmingdale and Massapequa. If you look at Nassau thus far, the disappointments would be Syosset, Hickville, and Plainedge from years past.

Before yesterday's games, you would have predicted Floyd and Northport remaining undefeated in league play and until they went up against each other. Someone forgot to tell Ward Melville yesterday as they landed one of the major upsets of the girls varsity season in an 11-7 win over Floyd.

Half Hollow Hills' blemishes this season included the losses to Bay Shore and Northport which showed them to be just a cut below the top tier teams. Yes, HHH defeated the same Ward Melville by a goal two weeks back.

Floyd has not hung up ten goals in their last three matches scoring seven on Ward Melville, eight on East Islip, and nine on Lindenhurst. Perhaps the team is wearing down late in the season?

Overall, we still have to go with Floyd on a bounceback heading into the playoffs. BOTC Industries will call this game at 10-8 for Floyd.

The game between HHH and Floyd is huge.HHH is finally coming of age with their talented sophomore class( 11 of them) led by Julia Dimaria and Alexis Maffucci. While Northport is still far superior than anybody else watch out for HHH over the next two years.....

The number of underclassmen is certainly an issue for the Half Hollow Hills camp. The Floyd attack and midfield positions should be able to take advantage of the age/experience difference in getting to the ten goal mark for the first time in their last four matches.

Same can be said for Ward Melville. Young team very talented, Great defense good young goal keeper. Girls LaCrosse on Long Island appears to be alive and very Strong.

Final result : Floyd 13, Half Hollow Hills 10. Our BOTC Industries assessment on this game was correct for Floyd and one has to be impressed with the potential for Half Hollow Hills' Girls Varsity to potentially dominate in the next two years with rising sophomores - a very interesting pair of teams, both this season and for the next two to follow!

McDonogh was absolutely the better team on Saturday and certainly deserves a #1 national ranking for High School Varsity programs. St. Anthony's goaltending was top notch with a half dozen saves at close range to keep the score within reach. During the game, St. Anthony's was slow in moving from the defensive to offensive ends, but that could have been the outstanding quality of the McDonogh midfielders.
