[quote=Anonymous]Who will reign king of 2020 TG parents? We shall find out this weekend. Good luck to the new YJ members on one of those daddy teams , just remember the golden rule , pass the ball to daddy's girl and get out of the way she is going to goal. Will mommy yj's daughter be playing with TG girls or yj in this tournament.

I am confused. There are no top gun teams entered this weekend. Am I missing something? There are no 2020 TG teams entered. There are 2 different teams (playing eachother) that the majority of the 2020 girls play on and do fall/winter/spring tournaments. I believe both teams also have "other" girls on them.

Who will reign king of 2020 TG parents? We shall find out this weekend. Give it a rest. These girls are 11 and 12 years old. And you, how old are you? Why stir the pot, it's just a game. Two good teams with lots of talented young ladies on both sides!! Should be a good game! How fortunate that they all (TG girls anyway) come together in the summer, play together and have a great team! Let's leave ALL the "daddy crap" out of it and focus on the girls!!!!!

I can't believe that all you 2020 parents haven't learned to act like adults yet (both clubs). Saw this same thing with 2019, they have settled down and moved along relatively quite. Your time of making complete fools of yourselves is just about up, time to move over and laugh at the 2021 parents who will likely do the same thing.

Thats a great idea maybe this tournament TG daddy will do that and get all the girls into the games . If he were focused on the girls he would have been able to get them all into the game last time we had the pleasure of playing for him.Just disgusting that anyone would be that desperate to win a 6th grade game.

This is all about giant egos. Instead of having all of the girls from one team play together, like they will in the summer, the daddy's put together their little all-star team. Now they can go to work and tell all their friends what a great coach they are because they won a meaningless tournament with a stacked team. How the club directors allow this to go on is shocking.

So untrue. One of these two groups has been playing these local tourneys together since 3rd grade, before they were even top gun girls. Get over it. Just look at the demographic makeup of the two teams and see how they all know each other based on where they live. But you don't know that, well, because you're trolling and looking to make more out of it then it is.

There are yj parents bringing broken teams and even yj players on the two teams your talking about, so you are clueless. Did you notice that these tournaments are 7 v 7? You really want to go to these things with your travel roster or town team of 25 girls? Sad truth is you need about 10 girls to play these tournaments, so your choice is bring the whole team and have the girls watch most of the game from sideline, or select some friends and players and watch all the parents of the non select cry instead of getting off their lazy asses and being proactive, or sit at home. Seriously if you feel your daughter was left out back with others, get together and enter a team, it would probably take less effort than all the time you spend crying on the message boards.

And I'm not talking about the LR.

Put it to rest already! These are not tg teams but localized teams that have been playing together for a few years and pre-dating any affiliation with the tg club. Want in? Ask!

Green Machine is NOT a local team. So please stop the BS. They ask whoever they think will better the chances of the coaches kid. If you really thought it was a local team playing together for years, you wouldn't be trying so hard to defend it. Good Luck.

They started playing together a year ago. Green Machine asked all the girls to form a team who weren't asked to play by the original "daddy" team . What is the difference where these kids play in the "off" season, at least they are playing! One of these "daddy" teams has extended the invite to play to everyone on several occasions the other one has never.

Well said and there you have it, it is a team made up from kids from all over the island, from multiple towns and clubs and the roster changes with every tournament, just like the rebels, in fact many kids jump back and forth between the two teams (and other teams) because they are all friends. Haters move on.

I got the pleasure to watch your green machine team today , I am sorry I mean the group of girls who stand around and watch one kid try to dominate a game , granted she is very good but how do you parents sit on the sideline and watch your kid be a decoy for a whole game . The parents and coaches never stop complaining to the refs , and please parents if you are going to yell at the refs at least have some idea of the actual rules, coaches would it kill you to read a rule book at some point.

Lots of good talent on the team and they look good moving the ball and passing until they play a good team then it is a one girl show, straight to goal, sorry one kid cant beat a good team, you might want to rethink that strategy.

Between the Rebels and green Machine every girl on 2020 Black played yesterday. Every Girl, except one who played with her town team. At least get the facts straight. Rebels had 12 of the 2020 Black and Green Machine the other 11 Played Green Machine. Lot of talent between the two teams and the summer season should be competitive again.

What is the matter, you got tired of watching your 2020 blue play in 8th grade division after backing out of JV division. Just keep the privates coming and you will be fine. Just worry about your kid and your organization and leave the B. S .spring tourneys alone . Your team is very good and as long as you keep the privates every week or live in right town your kid will be fine

That doesn't mean a YJ player cant go and play with friends form other towns or clubs that's a parents choice. If splitting your team works in TG land more power to you; clearly it's an issue with some of your parents though.

Clearly it is you that has an issue with everything TG 2020 black does. You know more about what is going on within this team than most of the parents with kids on the roster. I am trying to figure out what your connection is. Maybe your daughter got cut from TG . Maybe she tried out and didn't make the black team so you went to YJ. Maybe your town team competes against one or more of the dads teams that coach the offseason teams. Whatever it is get over it or seek out a medical professional that can get you on proper meds. To all of the TG 2020 black parents if everyone could just ignore the posts maybe this adult that is living through his/her kid will go away.

Question for you, do you really agree with the way in which your coach yells and screams at virtually every call the refs make or the style of play when playing a competitive game. Yes they try to spread the ball around in the lesser games to keep the parents of the kids that are not permitted to shoot in the competitive games happy. How is the 1 girl show working out for the rest of the kids on the team and for that matter for the wins in big games. I will say this you get the girls on TG 2020 black playing which is great as TG as a group does little in the off season and probably for a lot less than YJ kids pay.I have seen the split into separate little teams destroy teams before, hope it works for the girls.

Please try and comprehend what the poster stated, he or she never said they don't go into tournaments under a different name, what was said was the entire team is asked. If it is a 7v7 the team is split in two and the split is at the head coaches discretion. As for Lax Fest or any other tournament if there is not enough interest by the majority of the team parents are and always have been free to do what they want with there children. Again read carefully nobody has a problem with the way TG parents conduct their "Lax Business" just that thsi particular YJ 2020 Blue team does it differently.

[quote=Anonymous]What is the matter, you got tired of watching your 2020 blue play in 8th grade division after backing out of JV division. Just keep the privates coming and you will be fine. Just worry about your kid and your organization and leave the B. S .spring tourneys alone . Your team is very good and as long as you keep the privates every week or live in right town your kid will be fine Don't deflect by throwing the 2020 YJ Blue team into this, when they do tourneys it's as a TEAM whether it's under the YJ flag or not it's always an "all" team invite. That doesn't mean a YJ player cant go and play with friends form other towns or clubs that's a parents choice. If splitting your team works in TG land more power to you; clearly it's an issue with some of your parents though. Absolutely untrue. On numerous occasions last year, 1 Dad invited certain girls , added a few others, and entered the YJ 2020 Blue Team in a few tournaments under a different name. Actions like those divide a team. Never happened , name the tournament, you will not because you made up a bunch of nonsense. Farmingdale Lax fest last summer. One of the daddy coaches from YJ 2020 blue took a team of girls to this tournament invite only Wrong again, but keep trying! I believe this tournament was on a Sunday after the girls played Friday, Saturday in Delaware or Maryland, so most likely not going to get a lot of interest other than some of the crazier parents.

Half the girls ( or a little more than half) were asked to play by a particular YJ daddy, and half were not. They played under a different name, but incredibly wore their YJ uniforms. Absolutely incredible! Completely divides a team. So do not say it didn't happen, it did happen you ignorant fool. I could even list the daddy's name who did it on those multiple occasions. So lay off TGs, YJ 2020 blue has done the same thing a number of times!!

It was farmingdale, both blue and gold and one TG kid played. Lost to rebels in finals. After that YJ bosses put a stop to it because some blue kids were not asked and they pay good money for private

Thank you for your concern on how this is working out for my daughter . My daughter knows that there aren't any big games at this time in her life. She plays with this team because it gives her a great opportunity to develop different aspects of her game and reach goals that she is working on. Do I agree with coaches that yell at the refs? No I do not agree with it. It is not my style. With that said you could walk around at any of the tournaments and hear the same thing on every other field. As far as not being permitted to shoot. My daughter has only been told not to shoot when the game is a blowout. If anything they ave directly told her to shoot more. Is it a one man show? At times it is. Does this kid bust her butt on draws and ground balls? Yes she does! Anyone with knowlege of girls tournament lacrosse knows that at 10 & 11 years of age there is always one or two girls that are more agressive and developed than the rest . We all know that the straight go to goal will not be the norm when they all get to MS and HS. Once the draw and dump concept is accepted they all will realize it opens up opportunities for the whole team. This will come. As for the rest of the girls you would have to ask them but like I said before I wish we all would just ignore the negative posts. A rule that I am clearly breaking with this post.

The top 2020 YJ team does not put daddy run teams in unless everyone is asked and not enough kids have interest. Go ahead name the coach from the top team who does this , you will not do it because you know you will be called out for BS.

I love that attitude go to any field and you see coaches of young teams making fools of themselves so its okay that my kids coach does it. Not sure they do it every game but your green machine coaches were making fools of themselves the whole game arguing every call, the opposing team coaches seemed to barely speak toward the refs at all.In terms of style of play Green Machine seemed to use the get the ball to one kid and have her go to goal the red white team seemed to use more of the get the ball to one kid who would draw and dump to a kid who always shot, not considerably different.

First, I couldn't care less if people want to make up teams when your travel teams are not attending. In fact it's nice when kids that don't always play together have an opportunity to play. As for the YJ 2020 thing last summer. That team was put together by a YJ Jones coach. In one tournament a Curcio parent was involved on the sideline. That was LI Laxfest. That team had Curcio, Jones, Chris, and TG players on it. All was fine until a couple of Curcio parents complained that their daughter was not invited. That was their final tourney. End of story.
