2032 Observations from the fall is that the 2nd teams or 2nd tier clubs really struggled. There are 4 or 5 teams that will not last beyond this season in my opinion. No need to list the teams. Everyone sees the scores. There is absolutely no value in just throwing a team in tourneys just to forfeit or get blown out. This shouldn’t happen because there are good coaches (not necessarily clubs) that will focus on development and more importantly put the team on the right path to success. I think people forget that in travel the families are the clients and the clubs have to earn the business.

Unless you are one of top few players that are on the club team that are above everyone else in ability, you are cannon fodder for the clubs. Which is majority of players.

Sweetlax Upstate, Towermen and Next Level should not be on that list. Great teams but beat comfortably by top Long Island teams including ones mentioned above (and 91s).

Unless you are one of top few players that are on the club team that are above everyone else in ability, you are cannon fodder for the clubs. Which is majority of players. The end result is that there are too many teams to build competitive teams after the top half.. 4 or 5 of those teams should combine rosters and they would be better off in my opinion. I am of that opinion because some of these times might not make a 2nd year. Plus families are sticking with the town programs more and more for cost and convenience and in a lot of cases the town team is better than the club team. Express & Express East (4 teams) 91 and Empire (3 teams) Rebels & Rebels East (3 and 1) Legacy (Regular and East, although not sure about east) plus combo team Moose (Orange and White) Igloo (1 and the combo team) S2S (2 teams) ECE (1) Rush (1) Recon/True (1) Checkmate (1) BTB (1) Also True Blue likely has a team, they usually put out a team at each age.

jesters has beaten and tied a few of those teams No doubt. The top AA teams are really even between Jesters, Yeti-dogs, and Archers. Maybe add in Moose Orange and 91. I suspect both Express teams will be added to the conversation eventually.

How bout the parents just cheer on all the boys, and God forbid...enjoy themselves watching their kids play pewee lax!

And this is an interesting group to have different clubs being part of the better teams. My take is it is very too heavy. All the B teams are struggling with the exception of the 91, the Seahawks and Express. Which is interesting because usually top teams have very good 2nd teams.

The "who cares" comment was referring to ranking 10 yr. old teams. Yeti Wolves, Jesters, Archers, Valor will be battling for years to come.. Express, Shore to Shore, and Mooselax Orange all have good teams as well. L.I is very lucky to have so many clubs to choose from with great coaching and training.

Nice to have rankings but agree, they are too little and so much will change in the next two years. Igloo will dismantle and express will reap havoc on the field. Kids who are good now will disappear next season when the holdbacks come into play. Enjoy the moment, enjoy the bs rankings, and be smart. Time to position yourself based on players ability to move to 91/express.

Is this thread for 2032's (5th grade) or 2031's (4th grade)?
Can a mod edit the title or start a new thread with a correct title so I don't have to have a brain hemorrhage every time I come on here?

Safe to say the hemorrhage is leaking 2033 = 4th grade. It’s also safe to say the folks who run this site are essentially volunteers. Therefore, it’s ok if they miss a step, forgiveness would be the best approach. I am sure they will heed your advice and fix momentarily.

Which of the 2nd teams are good for 2nd teams? I know 91, Rebels Seahawks, and Express are decent.

Most teams will be open to taking a look at your son, and if they think he can help them you're in business. 91 Atlas has great coaches . I'm sure Legacy, Express, Jesters, etc are well coached as well. Remember, those teams/coaches are trying out for you and your business as well. 2 way street

Some 2nd teams are way better than some of the clubs top teams. I think some 2nd teams should maybe not even be in tourneys yet, and develop the teams first. Some teams seemed to struggle this fall. I suspect those parents are team shopping over the winter.

There are 6/7 months between the Fall and Spring/Summer tourneys. That is a lot of time, and a lot of growth both individually and for the team. I disagree about some "B" teams being better then the "A" teams...skill/competitive wise....The "top" teams are heads and shoulders above the B teams....but yes, taking things down a few notches is sometimes better for certain kids..and that isn't a knock. These kids are still babies, development wise, and till puberty, NO one knows where their kids will be come Middle/HS. Enjoy the ride, and don't take things too seriously.

Sorry but 91 Atlas and Express B are better now than organizational top teams at Legacy East, BTB, S2S, Rebels East and True, and probably a few more. That’s my opinion and based off results. Will they be better than the Archers, Yeti combo, Jesters, 91 and Express Nassau and East, no way.

Massive move of talent to Express next year. Express thought they had themselves a team this year, but not so much. Several top players from a few of the AA teams are joining forces

Each of the top teams have issues, lots of movement after this year. Yeti Legacy - seems like a coach per kid, mostly average kids Rebels - no depth, coaching strong 91 - other than a few kids, below average talent, carrying a lot of friends and family Jesters - list is long, but no depth and aren’t going to play in meaningful tournaments Express - too many kids and coaching issues Shore - competing, but no core to build off of
Yeti and 91 will have the best offseason programs, expect them to be 1 and 2 thiis summer. No other team takes their offseason training serious. If your not 4 hours + per week of team training in the offseason you won’t be AA for long
