Some teams are practicing 3/4 times per week, scrimmaging, those are the teams that will have a great summer. Most clubs have poor offseason programs

Players are always being recruited. Nothing really will change until HS when the clubs that have the reach to recruit out of state. They’ll always be a player or two that moves, but nothing beyond that. Unless a HC would leave and go to another, which never or rarely happens.

Or until the 91/Express kids start reclassing too.

lol….please… don’t start that conversation on this age yet. It exhaustively gets covered over 100s of replies.

This shouldn’t happen because there are good coaches (not necessarily clubs) that will focus on development and more importantly put the team on the right path to success. I think people forget that in travel the families are the clients and the clubs have to earn the business.

You have a steep learning curve if you think like that about clubs . Unless you are one of top few players that are on the club team that are above everyone else in ability, you are cannon fodder for the clubs. Which is majority of players.

Maybe so. But only if you allow yourself to be put in that position. This is not complicated. If the experience is bad then move on. There was a lot of bad lacrosse this fall in my opinion. And there is no reason to think those teams will improve. So why stay on as you say “fodder”. So move on to another team that is looking for players. Start by practicing with the team and get the free look. Some clubs definitely do that.
