Where do the majority of kids get recruited in the MIAA? From actual high school games, big money show cases (seem like a money grab for most), club games, prospect days? IMO and in order: 1) High school 2) Club Team 3) Prospect Days 4) Showcases Seen many 25s and 26s get recruited who have never seen field at their HS: The real answer is: Clubs Personal network/Family name/nepotism Prospect Days HS Showcases

Severn hired the Marist coach. Wilkinson Surely St. Mary’s will make a big splash hire right!?!? Does anybody actually know why STM Coach was fired? They had played in two of the last 4 championships I believe. Numerous kids playing NCAA lax. One down year and you get the boot? Seems like a knee donk decision by the school. And the replacement hire is Will Dalton???? The guy that was fired………good luck to the St. Mary’s ProStarts. Severn gets a great hire to follow up Christie, STM gets a fired OC as HC. If I’m a family in AACO, Severn is at the top of the list Bump. Anyone know why SM coach fired?

With NHSLS coming up soon, is it too early to start talking about the upcoming 2025 MIAA season? Will McD 4-peat? Will AS continue their ascension? I hear Calvert Hall is looking good in their workouts...

No clue. But in the MIAA it is usually one or a combo of:
School politics
Coaches backstabbing
Burnout
Record going in the crapper
Parental meddling

Connections always come first. Neither are right. Personal network/Family name/nepotism High school Club Team and tournaments Showcases Prospect Days 2 and 3 can switch depending on your High School. This is a MD MIAA centered , so HS is more . Prospect days are useless to get recruited except at lower D2 and D3 . This is from a in the know. Count on this list. Lets stop the not knowing ( better word )

It's like the Hogan days all over again at SM Poor poor leadership at the school. Never hire the best person for the job. It’s always a former alumni that’s get the job. Whether it’s a coaching job, teacher or president of the school always an alumni hire. It’s finally caught up to the school. Throw in a admissions director that’s clueless about sports and selling the school makes for a perfect dumpster fire now. Lacrosse team will never recover and be in the B division soon enough. Spalding is the top dog now in Annapolis.

Starts with an interim principal who who flipped because his freshman son was on JV and not Varsity.
