See what happens when express orange doesn’t use Chuck players. Good for dune dogs.

[quote=Anonymous]How come to dune dawgs are in the B division? They should give the A bracket a shot, seems like they would do ok[/quote BEcause the LegRush people want the select white team to be "select" - wouldn't look good to have the Dune Dawgs in that same division, even though they should be.

See what happens when express orange doesn’t use Chuck players. Good for dune dogs. We know this, they are a lower tier B team without Black team help. Not their fault, some good players on that team but they are an afterthought for the Directors. It’s all about the Black team. Parents will complain and next tournament you will see Black team members on Orange to help them win. Cycle then repeats itself.

Kids are in High School now and many wear those helmets. This. They SHOULD be wearing their high school helmets leading into recruiting so coaches know what high school they go to easily.

They don’t have HS helmets - they haven’t even played HS lacrosse yet; it’s fall of their freshman year. 2. 2028s can’t be recruited until the summer of 2026.

In NY you only have a helmet now if you played JV or Varsity for a public High school while in 8th grade. If you played Varsity likely you are a holdback or your school is a weaker team or a small district with little competition for Varsity.

Only for the people who can’t fathom an 8th grader playing varsity for a good varsity lacrosse program. Multiple 8th graders played in the county championships in both Nassau and Suffolk. Even more in the semis. But go back under the rock you are hiding under.

Sort of correct. They can easily find out what school they go to. It’s actually to make it easier to evaluate. Easier to follow than a number. But yes, they should be wearing high school helmets at this point. Express chucks don’t even wear school helmets yet. And I think that coach has a pretty good idea of what they should be doing.

Good point. I guess I shouldn’t have said they “should” be wearing them. I was basically responding to the person questioning a team because kids had them on. My point was it’s normal for kids to start wearing them at this age.

Public school it’s not that hard but you pump yourself up with that, good luck.

I think the first 2 are pretty obvious and can flip at any time. I think 3-5 can also flip at any time. LegRush was supposedly banged up pretty good, couple of kids were out hurt. Heard S2S made some improvements, but they'll have their first tournament this weekend. Igloo beat LegRush, but sounds like they're not much improved, just beat a team that was missing several kids due to injury. Who knows...it's only November.

Same Express Dad coming on here and living through his varsity playing 8th grader from last season. Nobody cares about you or your kid. Ranking teams based on what you see through your lens is hardly a valid source. Enjoy the weekend at Kirkwood. I would be shocked if Express won a game in the D Bracket.
