This is at least the second thread that has been created due to glitch in the system (the other one is 2024, Westchester/Fairfield CT).
Since it is not an outlier issue, I hope it's addressed before another thread becomes inaccessible (Database error only visible to forum administrators).

Let’s talk #s. I hear the following have 30+.
Chucks
Igloo (still recruiting)
Titans.

How’s that all working out? A great way to crush a kid is to bench him so you can wear a sweatshirt.

Igloo has 25 not 30 plus. Might want to check your sources.

Our team will be just fine but I appreciate your comments about 6th graders .

Igloo is top team now and Rebels are 2nd. Express is next w 91 rounding out the top 4 (but way behind top 3). The top 3 can compete with the 2 Ways, BBL, Sweetlax Florida, Hawks and Madlax. 91 has some work to do.

I would argue express is number 2. Even though they lost to rebels last week they beat them 2 times last year. They also have beaten towerman and primetime 2x each this fall. Rebels have lost to both and have never beaten prime time.

Tough to proclaim the title in November Igloo is just ok, they really have no depth and the coaching is terrible. Rebels are clearly on the downward spiral and will dissolve by next season. Madlax and Next Level are top MD teams who be very hard for igloo to even come within 5-6 goals come spring. Dukes and Towerman are next up behind MD teams. We all know at some point 91/Expres will enter the fold and Igloo will end up like their 29 team, a skeleton.

It looks like this 2031 class has a chance to develop very well with these teams always competing against each other! This is great for the sport as long as the parents aren’t too concerned with who beats who and look at how the boys/teams play each game. Deep class and competition will lead to some talented players and fun games to watch and track.

Did S2S lose players? Legacy Blue seems to be entering B Brackets now.

I couldn’t disagree more. Think Igloo has a lot of depth and very good coaching. The issue they have now is making promises and not following through and adding outside players who’s aren’t on their roster for tournaments , which will eventually lead to some sort of descension, if it hasn’t already. They are currently the top team on LI and possibly in country.

Legacy has played well for the fall against other AA teams. Lighter schedule for the fall getting the new players adjusted into the program isn’t a bad idea. Maybe wont compete against igloo. Chucks. Or stealth but anyone after that’s a toss up

Legacy has not played a AA bracket this fall. They have only entered single A.

Based on current rosters and fall results Igloo is 1 and Rebels are 2 on LI. Chucks are behind them for now but will have a chance to move up after more tournaments are played. Towerman and Primetime both very good as well.

Precisely, both teams that play predominantly in single A brackets with the exception of one tournament.

Legacy played in a tournament up in Massachusetts with all single A teams in it and played in Tri Stars single A division. This is not bashing its simply facts just as looking up Jesters Black and Leading edge on US Club Lax can easily show that they play in single A brackets mostly. Bottom line yes, Legacy has had a somewhat respectable fall just against single A competition.

Legacy for the second year in a row lost their top players. They are not a AA team anymore. I would go out on a limb and say 91 Warriors take them down.

Coaches shouldn’t make promises to new families/players. Especially, to a well established team that has always had depth with a few holes to fill on 2nd and 3rd lines.
Heard Winter Soldiers added a player last weekend to their roster. Not the norm and apparently wasn’t even needed. In the end, hurts the team.

You people really live through your kids. Who cares about last fall. Who beat who. Maybe you guys should stop jumping teams because of what wind you have. Try getting your kids good coaching and daddy coaches aren’t it.

How are NAL brackets determined? Blue bracket is stacked - not so much for the Red side. Igloo will dominate the Red side. The whole format of the tournament is odd - especially for a big name tourney.

Speak for yourself, Fall is a barometer of what way the team is heading. Two teams in three years due to poor recruitment of new players. Son on a top team for now, we will see how the rest of time goes.

They based it on past performance Igloo is right where they should be, second tier. No sense in having teams get beat badly, not good for the kids or parents morale.

Can we stop trying to stir the pot (Tier 2) LOL. Igloo is a very good team and one could argue the TOP team. Are Madlax , Sweetlax Fla and Next Level good, YES, but Igloo has handled all of them.

Tournament Directors and coaches of NAL programs do the seeding. NAL is normally a PrimeTime event, maybe Sweetlax is hosting this fall. Saturday has 6, maybe 7 strong teams (Sweetlax Florida, Igloo, Rebels, Sweetlax Upstate, LI Express, Team 91 CO Outlaws, BBL Black) one division was going to get 4, seems like it was Blue.

If in charge, would've moved either LI Express of Team 91 CO Outlaws to Red. BBL Black seems to be a different team each time out, not sure I would include them in the top 7.

Rebels Stealth vs. Sweetlax Florida was a close game this summer. Chucks vs Outlaws should be the closest pool play game, guessing lost advances on GA.

On the red side, Igloo likely rolls, unless the additions to Sweetlax Upstate from kids returning to grade level can make a significant difference.

Would've been nice to have Dukes and Madlax play on Saturday.

"Handled them"? You might want to rephrase that. They lost to Madlax last year 6-8, the beat Next Level 3-1. Tell me how that is handling all of them? any of these teams cant beat each other any given day.

Ha! Igloo was not close with Madlax! It was a blow out in the championship, ML put in second string to finish game, it could have been much worse. Igloo parents starting to sound like Rebel parents, heads getting too big. Igloo will fold to express and 91 in the next year. Igloo parents and coaches just need to be humble and accept the facts

Blowout game isn’t 6-8. Get a grip. Madlax is a great team and no one would argue that but Winter Soldiers can hang with them.
91 & Express shouldn’t want Igloo to fold because those boys will be taking your kids spots.

Rebels show up in biggest tourney of the fall. There are a lot of good teams at this age. The main 4-5 can win any given weekend, others will win when comp is weaker.

Think Rebels had advantage by having to play a tougher schedule and side of the bracket. Good wins by them today.

From an outsider, Rebels team has a good thing going. If the parents were to break that up they will be sorry. Don’t worry about the name on the helmet. Stay together and keep working hard! Team chemistry and good coaching!

You aren’t an “outsider”. It’s ok. And we all know the new lefty attackman from buffalo is the reason you won today. I’m sure the kids who practice all week to have him come down and never leave the game day are thrilled.

The only LI 2031 teams to even discuss are Stealth and Winter Soldiers. They’re the best in the island despite what others think or say. See you in the spring when it really counts.

You aren’t an “outsider”. It’s ok. And we all know the new lefty attackman from buffalo is the reason you won today. I’m sure the kids who practice all week to have him come down and never leave the game day are thrilled.

So 1 kid is the reason they won? Express and 91 have kids all over their program from out of state but its an issue w 1 kid on Rebels from upstate NY. Kid is on their National Team. Parents like the way things are run and the kid is a great fit. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Stay in your lane and stick to the single A tournaments

Igloo had a guest player 2 weeks ago at the igloo challenge so most teams bring extra kids to tourneys.

Express and 91 will be just fine. Go take a look at their commitment page and compare it to the rebels. It’s laughable. A few years from now no one will care the rebels won the fall NAL in 6th grade

Igloo was rolling with 14+ random attackmen going in randomly--not set lines. About those #'s. How does a team have 16 attackmen on a sideline, but only have 25 kids... Kids have already jumped ship!

So.. I’m hearing that the parents are already over the Spallina experiment at ECE. Left 91 to coach the 30’s had his kid and 2 other players playing up on 30’s. Took over as head coach of 31’s, brought the 3 kids back down to 31’s. Now the only parents happy are those 3. Little to no play time on a team that is now a rostered 27 and they don’t leave the field at all. I’m going to say it again. Daddy coaches should not be coaching their kids teams.Looks like that team is heading the way of 91. Doller better do something.

Last season these two teams in question will be valid. Best players will jump ship Rebel parent above is praying that won’t happen with all this team chemistry and good coaching. At the end of the day parents will leave to secure spots on Chaminade and st Anthony’s Those coaches won’t allow kids to play on either of those sub par club programs.

News flash! Not everyone goes to Private school. That’s why LI continually has 5 or so public schools ranked in top 25 High Schools.

Correct not every kid goes to private school but if there is top talent on either team they will get recruited to those private schools which in turn means they will be asked to play at express or 91. Therefore leaving igloo and or Rebels behind. Those teams will dismantle and players of decent ability will seek refuge. Moose and igloo 2029 are good examples. Rebels 2029 is just ok, can’t compete with express or chaos. Writing on the wall. Sorry rebel dad who needs a step ladder.

Yup. They hide in the fall and in the summer. And that’s why they aren’t very good.

Legacy Blue Devils are NOT AA team. They are playing A brackets and having trouble handling solid single A teams. They are g\doing great against B teams though.

Oh you can forget about those kids seeing any meaningful play time with that guy. His kid and the other 2 or 3 tagalongs will get it all. Makes tons of errors and ball hog and nothings done about it, just like at 91. It was his plan from the go to take this team over make his kid get all the playtime and everyone else are just pocket padders. I can’t see those parents paying for that next year. But this is lax, it’s a greedy, selfish sport. I for sure would not be paying for a team with a roster that size. The sideline looks ridiculous with all those kids hoping to get in, and get a minute or 2 here and there while his kid and faves stay in.

Spallina a GREAT coach. ECE had a great weekend! 29’s 33’s and 34’s all delivered championships. Have another hot dog , slim .

When did the blue devils have trouble against solid A teams. They lost 1 game this weekend against miesse, which 2 weeks before they hammered them. Won by 3 goals which if the boys didn’t hit 8 pipes it would have been a blow out. This weekend they took the weekend too lightly with 10-1 games in the am.
Am I saying they are a solid AA team that compete with the best. No. But in lower AA brackets they will be fine.

Slim? That’s Cute Eric. Let’s revisit this next summer when you’re forced to have supplemental tryouts due to the fed up parents leaving. And all the parents that read this can come back and attest to the happenings. The facts are, that (you) Coach will only give little Spallina and his pals play time under the disguise of trying to secure wins. If it’s only 4 players that make a team secure wins then I don’t want what you or that program is selling.. Keep it. But in the meantime, parents take notes, history always repeats itself.

Interesting stuff, wait till it gets to the “if your kids not giving me what I need on the field then I’m going to pull them” meanwhile his is still in part of the show

Haha. Someone already did in a previous post and even listed facts from tournaments. It just doesn’t seem to sink in on this guy. Devils are a single A team competing in single A tournaments and brackets. It is what it is just own it. They have 1 kid that is a capable AA player and possibly one kid at attack that is solid. And supposedly the first kid already plays with a very good team in another program so who knows what’s going on there. In the end they are 11. A or AA who gives a @ChillLaxin right now most of these teams are going to change drastically in the next three years.

Hit 8 pipes! Hahaha. That team would lose to most town teams in the island. ZAT too worried about his 30’s. Need to see if any of his out of state holdbacks have younger brothers.

Fake News. 91 should not be in the top 10. They do not compete at the highest level at the age group.

Calm down Legacy Dad, you guys are still the top team at Legacy but the facts are facts. Legacy Blue Devils beat Express Meisse 5-4 at Tristar (not by 3). Legacy Blue Devils lost to Express Meisse 5-2 at Fall Brawl (lost by 3).

The second express team is not the same from last year they dropped a few kids from Chucks and added some nice pieces. The Legacy face off is the only reason why they scored 2 goals at the Fall Brawl game otherwise it would have been 5-0. Sometimes it is just matchups, you guys will fine and always be the top Legacy Team.

Not a legacy dad. Actually a leading edge dad who played against them. My bad they won by 1 goal in the other tourney after hitting 8 pipes in the game. They have a few things to clean up and they will be back to AA. That miesse team we played them in the same tourney. Had 1 kid just try and run everyone over. Can’t actually make any passes.

ECE parents saw the handwriting on the wall when the program had to recruits and begs kids not to leave. You should have went to the turtles. Now you have 27+. ECE 29 team beat the top 91 team. Problem for ECE is they play little sisters of the poor (24-1-1). I watched game—that 29 team is unreal—fool athletic at every position. They also blew the 91 29 B team havoc/power out with an 8-0 thrash. 91 parents were silent—priceless!

Off topic, but ECE29 is a team to follow—if they find any real competition. Funny, no instagram for 91 30 team (ranked #1 in country). Lost in there own sandbagged tournament!

91 was playing UP against an underrated ECE 29 team. Cyclones don’t need to sandbag! Give them credit for playing in 29 bracket. Some teams don’t have the balls to do it.

Would flip Mad lax to 1, then who knows. Great competition at this grade. All teams listed could win or lose on any given day.
