why is Express in D? I thought they were considered to be a top team in this age bracket. Are those brackets based on level of competition? Venom in 2nd bracket and Express in the 4th? All seem to be pretty good teams.

Kids are in High School now and many wear those helmets. This. They SHOULD be wearing their high school helmets leading into recruiting so coaches know what high school they go to easily. 1. They don’t have HS helmets - they haven’t even played HS lacrosse yet; it’s fall of their freshman year. 2. 2028s can’t be recruited until the summer of 2026. 1. Most kids who are on the track to be recruited first have already played high school lacrosse. 2. 2028s can not be contacted until 2026. Where I am (NE), many of the private schools coaches give their 9th graders helmets the summer before they start at the school, or in the fall of their 9th grade year (now). In NY you only have a helmet now if you played JV or Varsity for a public High school while in 8th grade. If you played Varsity likely you are a holdback or your school is a weaker team or a small district with little competition for Varsity. Keep telling yourself that. Truth hurts huh? Only for the people who can’t fathom an 8th grader playing varsity for a good varsity lacrosse program. Multiple 8th graders played in the county championships in both Nassau and Suffolk. Even more in the semis. But go back under the rock you are hiding under. I stand corrected there were a couple of 8th graders riding the pine on Varsity watching upper classmen play. Public school it’s not that hard but you pump yourself up with that, good luck. -Stop. If your kid was playing Varsity Lacrosse as an 8'th grader, you either need to move districts or think about private school.

Venom has beaten top teams outside of Long Island. Express has not, hence why they are in the D bracket.

I think the first 2 are pretty obvious and can flip at any time. I think 3-5 can also flip at any time. LegRush was supposedly banged up pretty good, couple of kids were out hurt. Heard S2S made some improvements, but they'll have their first tournament this weekend. Igloo beat LegRush, but sounds like they're not much improved, just beat a team that was missing several kids due to injury. Who knows...it's only November. This has to be a legrush parent post hammering away on the “banged up” lol You telling me on that 30 man roster of studs the remaining studs couldn’t pull it off??? Cmon man So now the other kids on the roster know where they stand I guess

Congrats to Leading Edge beating Futures at NAL. I wonder if Futures were missing their student regrade at middie or left attack.

some takeaways from Delaware Sunday...
Express was gritty-had some close games that they pulled out. 54 is a beast on offense.
Didn't catch too much of Venom, but from what I saw, they looked very good. ball moving quickly, aggressive on attack. Not sure how they ended up, but again, didn't see too much.
S2S looked pretty good. Competition was on the lower end, probably could've played up a bracket. Little sloppy at times, but overall was pleasantly surprised. 26 on D is very good. Goalie was very good, too.
@ChillLaxin, year after year". Assuming they chronically underperform.
Igloo was a mess. Can't score, poor body language from kids on the field.
curious to know what everyone else saw/thought.

curious to know what everyone else saw/thought. Ok S2S parent Quick take: Express: 3-0, 54 IS very good. Venom: Very good team. Lets see how it changes due to holdbacks next yr. S2S: 26 is a holdback so he should be good. He’s just one of a few on the team. Igloo: No offense over the weekend, not sure what’s wrong there. Maybe it’s just early in the season? LegRush 2-1. Lost to Mesa who went 3-0, pretty good team. They should be fine.

curious to know what everyone else saw/thought. Ok S2S parent Igloo- Kids don’t seem to know or like each other. Poor showing but it’s fall. LegRush-why are the parents so angry but stay? Had good talent but not such a good showing. Venom-looked pretty good to me. Could use some more size on offense they don’t want any contact. Thought they had a good showing. Look pretty good to me. Played the majority of the sideline. Express-looked pretty good as well. Very physical. Some new recruits seem to do well in the last win over Dukes. They have ballers everywhere. S2S- needs more offense in the harder games. 2nd goalie needs work. All in all thought it was decent for all these new teams trying to gel.

None of the schedules were too challenging imo The legrush white team beat who they were supposed to beat but hearing people are not happy there. Want to see them play a team like igloo frost, tritons or rebels to see who they are

Chill out people. Reclassing on LI is the least of your problems. The kids from other states is where it gets out of hand. Until college coaches reject this nothing will change so don’t hold your breath I’ll paraphrase, if you want your kid to play high D1 find another sport. Too many cheaters in this one. I understand it feels like cheating but it is not. There are no rules.

S2S doesn’t have any reclasses. Where do you get your information? The rumors and misinformation on this site is comical. Parents living through their kids and causing drama because they can’t accept reality.
