Birdogs are toast, best player left for Dukes to fill their goal, and Dukes picked up some talent from Mesa and JE. They are not even playing in NAL because that’s where the real competition is at. Dukes is the program to beat Remember hearing Dukes sold to Brotherlyloves if you want to signup for dukes so you go to brotherly or to duke, wasn’t sure from duke webpage. Do the dukes change to brotherly in mid and high school team?

I’d love to get a list of what tournaments the birddogs are playing in this fall. I have a son that is on-age and wants to tryout. Want to see what this group is all about. Can anybody help me out?

But where is the PIAA on what are very clearly recruiting events? Too busy screwing up the brackets and classifications I guess.

NLF is the truth. Birddogs took 2nd at the National Championship last year. A few upgrades during tryout season and they are back in the hunt for THE Chip.

Marple may be the best team in the central this year. LaSalle is the top Catholic League team. Chesmont is Downingtown East. PAC is Spring Ford.

Dukes are the only club team playing a first rate schedule this fall, HHH, Mesa Team 11, all dodging the talent.

Marple will probably get blown out by Springfield again this year (couldn't tell you the last time Marple has even played them close). Springfield is loaded, but obviously Radnor has been their cryptonite when it counts.

Being able to freely recruit hasn't helped the HOF coach recently...he's probably hoping Marple (and even Rustin) move up to AAA for better competition going forward. AA in District 1 (and state-wide, obviously) is not real strong (an understatement) outside of those 2 programs.

PIAA should create 3 divisions for boys lacrosse. A, AA, AAA. Having teams play schools with twice the number of boys is ridiculous.
0-400 A 400-600 AA 600 up AAA

Springfield has outscored Marple 21-4 the last 2 years, and brings back most of the same team. And if this same person has D East ahead of Radnor and Springfield, I want what they are smoking...LOL

If your son is a top player , you may want to reach out to the travel clubs in your area and explain your financial situation. Some of the travel clubs in our area have scholarships. I’m sure they may consider, if he is a good player, who can contribute to their team. Collect some film / video of him playing. Get a letter from his rec. league coach. You may still need to pay for travel expense, but not the club fees and tournament fees. It really can’t hurt to ask. I hope your son gets a chance to play at the next level! Good Luck! So many “rich kids” take all of it for granted! Many don’t even seem like they want to be there. I wanted to follow up and thank you. I talked to a travel coach and he invited my son to go to a practice to see if it was something he would be interested. He said we could talk about payment if my son is a good fit and vice/versa for the team. It's good to know not all travel programs are money grabbers and want kids to enjoy the game. Following up on this. My son started playing for a club team who worked out a payment plan that worked. My son played in a tournament the other week and scored 19 goals in 4 games. Not bad for a kid that almost had to drop the sport because we could not afford the club teams. A coach from another team asked if he would consider playing with his team at a national tournament. He is still young but two colleges approached him and said he should go to their "playday".

Sure pal! How did you find time to write this with Duke and ND knocking at your door constantly? Nobody said anything about Duke and ND. A college coach was watching older players and approached my Son’s new club coach to pass the message on to us. Sorry if you have spent $20k over the years and have not had the same success my son had in one tournament.

19 goals, 4 games - zero mention of assists, GBs, rides friendships made. Sounds like the exact player teammates detest. Can’t wait to watch your son in the PLL, Congrats

Not with that talent in one tourney. By time second tourney comes around, don't settle for anything less than a One with six big Zeros next to it for any NIL deal. Its all the rage for his type of talent in college.
