Been to both. NLF gets the nod for overall quality. They get the nod for the social media presence. For their vendors. But location...big nope. Those mud puddles were awful.

Been to both. NLF gets the nod for overall quality. You clearly don’t know what you’re looking at. NAL is practically the teams from NLF combined with the teams from Alliance which equals a larger more competitive tournament than just NLF by itself. Anybody that says NLF gets the nod without substantiating their point is clearly deluded

If All was good the best players from the mediocre teams attending would have showed.didn’t show. Started an early summer. didn’t want to travel to a mediocre tournament with no scouts and waste money and NLF wins again.

NAL does not have the talent of the NLF. Got to go to the National Championship big dance and win it if you want to be the National Champ. If your club director doesn’t do that time to switch to a winning club.

Not sure what tourney you were at but the talent was all there for the teams. Minus one player. And the college coaches...all the schools were there. The semi-finals had over 50 coaches on the sideline. But try again. Not sure why two tournaments can's exist. Maybe the NLF teams should stop being afraid to play some of the other teams and boycoting them from the tourney. For the first time for the ALL tourney they did a really nice job (minus the parking situation). LIE, 91 LI, Sweetlax and Team Ten will all have around 10-12 kids committed by Sept 30th. That is what it is about.

The "founding clubs" haven't all stayed relevant to say the least. Especially Big 4 H. But so many other clubs have come on the scene that are shut out of NLF but are also top 10-20 teams. NAL had a better representation of all the top teams. Plus, what is up with the crappy fields they play NLF on? Long island must have better facilities to offer. Congratulations to Team 91 LI Storm for the beatdown ofI Express. Great summer.

NLF thoughts:
1. Too many teams, fields, and locations, so there were college coaches at only a few of the fields. There was way too much ground for the coaches to cover, so many players never got seen. What used to be a great recruiting tournament has become yet another money grab.
2. Location was a bad choice. Hotels were costly, travel to/from was a nightmare, and local traffic on LI made all the drive times to and from games twice as long.
3. Fields mostly grass, so all but the turf fields were slippery mud pits with all the rain. There were people using some kind of dirt squeegee to try and disperse the water from some fields.
4. Parking was great - and free!
5. Most officiating was solid. Probably the best tournament for officiating I have seen in years.
6. Some great lacrosse games - really. The guys I watched played their hearts out, even the ones with only parents watching the game. Just about every player I saw was recruitable. It was great to see so many skilled and dedicated players.
Congrats to the winners and the players who got seen.

I read your arguments to my son. He thinks you are all maroons for arguing. "They are both good. No one cares." Your son's opinion is irrelevant. If he knew what he was talking about he would say the NAL is the most competitive tournament of the summer. Its not hard to understand, but somehow there are maroons that can't grasp this or choose to argue against it

Its time for everyone to realize that there is more to lacrosse than the NLF. Sweetlax, BBL, Team Ten, DCE, 3D have just as many committs as LIE, Hawks, Team 91 etc. Time to move on and find some other way for you to feel relevant.

So LIE is not number and Team 91 LI is not number 9? The rankings are based on quality of wins, amount of wins and goal differential. Very little human decision making, unike the NLF rankings that are person based. Not sure why the non-NLF teams have you so distraught.

Let's look at IL Coaches Poll...Team Ten is currently No. 2, Sweetlax Upstate is No. 4, DCE is No. 6, ADVNC NDP is No. 8, Sweetlax Fla is No. 9, FCA MD is 11, 3D NE Red is No. 13, S2S is No. 14. So, 7 of their Top 15 not at NLF. Oh right, that poll doesn't count either - "debunked" because NLF dad can't argue. Fact - NAL had more top 15 teams than NLF. Deal with it.

You can't. here is inside lacrosse rankings which is now affliated with NLF https://www.insidelacrosse.com/recruiting/club/2026/2023Much different look thatn US Club lax. NLF heavy in the top 10. and the rating for the teams is not spelled out like US Club lacrosse. Also, just look at the NLF indiviudal plater rankings. Very little amount of kids on non-NLF team ranked.

I cited 2 different polls that prove you are wrong and you cite nothing but your own (incorrect) opinion to support your own (incorrect) argument - brilliant. This year's NAL had more top 20 teams than NLF - period. But this is a free country, so you are entitled to your baseless and incorrect opinion, lmao.

The only nonsense on this topic has been coming from the delusional person or people that keep stating that the NLF has superior competition to the NAL when the facts say otherwise.

Top to bottom talent, and college coach attendance, NLF is far superior. NO ONE CARES but you 🤡s fighting about it!!!! Both are great tournaments, both have stellar competition, both have tons of college coaches, give it a rest. Move on.

How are the commits going? All the big talkers here Transfer Portal has made most recruits obsolete, Yes the few will demand some attention, but majority will be throwaways. With the Portal so open, why take a HS player when there is a full class of 2nd and 3rd year college players out there.
