I’m very surprised, Igloo was always a very inclusive club even with their training! And very picky who they picked at their tryouts!

Merger will take place in some form. Different at every age. 2029 is tough because legacy stinks and igloo lost most of its talent. May be good for them to come together for national team events, alliance. Outside of that it’s a waste at this group. Express and 91 have separated themselves from the pack.

Biggest winners so far = Express and Rebels.
91 made some defensive upgrades which weren’t required so that proves to remaining defenders that there is no loyalty and just a glimpse of what’s to come next summer where the out of state imports will dominate the roster together with the Venom offensive reclass players.
Biggest Losers = hands down Igloo. They’ve now lost 3 of their major offensive players and some serviceable defenders and have not added even one top notch offensive player. Coaches and ownership kept trying to sell a future which essentially disappeared within days after the season ending tournaments.
Moose - 1 huge loss but loyalty on that team remains and they will be an occasional upset machine due to their scrappiness and effort.
Legacy - no movement at all, except for possible merger with Igloo which even if it were to happen, doesn’t help either team that much.

If your willing to make a bet I would argue there are a couple of kids on igloo that chose to stay currently that will end up being better offensively than 2 out of the 3 that left it’s not about today it’s about what they will be a couple years from now being the best 8th grader doesn’t always translate to being the best hs player and beyond …are you willing to take that bet?

Not saying that those players that remained are not good and won’t continue to get better and possibly exceed the talent of those that left, but they will now be playing against tougher competition and won’t have the depth to compete as they did in past years. Same holds for Moose which was already starting to unravel this year even with their top scorer.

The lack of depth against other top tier teams will be a problem for Igloo.Starting defense who never leaves the field is still100% in tact and will keep them around in games but have been left with only 2 offensive starters due to coaches lack of effort to recruit and keep top talent on the roster. Losing 3 starters and the 4th Middie offensively and the 4 and 5 poles along with the steady backup goalie who went to express hurts the depth on d tremendously and is a lot of movement off of a team, so more things must have been brewing on this team.Any other team lose 7 players?

Couldnt agree more. The defense for Choas has been their backbone and strongest part of the team. Apparently coaches thought differently with only recruiting / adding on that end of the field and did absolutely nothing on the offensive side of the ball which is where Choas needs the most help !

Same holds for Moose which was already starting to unravel this year even with their top scorer. The competition hasn’t changed they’ve been playing against the same kids for the past few years the only difference will be the holdbacks on express and 91 so every legit 29 faces the same new competition

The competition always changes. They get better. And when you do not get better, you do not win.Simple formula.Talking about what might be the future talent of current players that stay or go is ridiculously irrelevant to what is being spoken about.Bottom line is Igloo lost 3 offensive starters and some of their D.Can the replacements bring them to where they were last year? I doubt it, but we will see.
Express is loaded and clearly the team to beat.
Chaos will be what the name says it is, Chaos.Rumor is some holdbacks will be playing as early as this fall etc… Who knows? They will go on runs and look great and then drop a game to a B team here and there.
Rebels have done a great job adding needs and are in the conversation.
Everyone else will have to hear their coaches talk about how winning is not important at this age and what bright futures they have etc so parents keep paying tuition.Igloo seems as if they are heading in this direction.

No your clueless.Im not the one paying over 4 grand for my car magnets. And the big jump to conclusions is pretty pathetic.Just because players get involved in travel sports to get better and play to win does not mean they think they are going to “Hopkins”.It simply means that the parents are instilling a high competitive mindset.Sad that it is mocked. It should not be any other way.

Playing to win? You sound like an igloo coach. Goal is to develop and play for express or 91. The other teams get no visibility as you move into high school. 91 and express win but the success is measured less on tshirts and more on acceptance to college. Use lax to get into a good school, that may be the win you’re referring to!

It’s amazing now we totally understand no one will get to a good college if they have any skill unless they play for 91 or express… has anyone told the college coaches that yet? I didn’t see that in any of the recruiting manuals. Thank you for the inside scoop.

Maybe 1% of the parents writing in this thread have kids that will be getting lacrosse scholarships.Wake up. Keep the 4.0 and then maybe your kid will be playing college lax.Teach your kids that sports are played to win and have them develop and train with a winners mindset.Teach them to detest to lose.If you are paying for your kid to play youth sports so they can get a scholarship. Then you are part of the problem. Its becoming all about parents status and car magnets. Its ok.The game will weed it all out for you real Soon. This argument being made that kids should not play sports to win and they should just be on teams because mom and dad can flash the hoodie and think that their kid will be playing D1 because he is on a big name roster is comical.Bottom line is Kids should be playing to compete because they love the game. When mom and dad want it more it never works out.

At the moment there are very few dollars allocated to lacrosse. This new roster and scholarship cap for NCAA teams may bring money to some schools with bigger sports programs, ie Big Ten schools. The little schools in smaller conferences will struggle even further. So yes, previous post is correct, almost no money for lax. Is lax a great avenue to get into a better academic school, 100%. Follow your dreams kids, never give up despite some of the parents on here claiming the world is ending if you dont get a scholarship

Express and Rebels have had the most overall improvement.
91 had no losses and improved their defense. And have started turning into a national team.
Legacy idled.
Moose lost 50% of their offense in one player.
Igloo run is over.More players continue to jump from the sinking ship that just a handful of months ago was the top ranked team in the country.

Chaos the team to beat. Have had the crown of the island. No Matter what express’s offense throws at them they have the best defense and goalies on the island and maybe the country. Once that offense forms it’s gonna wraps for all the other clubs. Unless Rebels ever learns how to be consistent
