This has to be Fake News. I don't think Hero's would tolerate her selfish play...heard she's beginning to wear out her welcome at Coppermine!

She was offered a spot by Heros earlier this summer as were a couple other girls from different clubs who all declined until they made it to the M&D middie who accepted. I would be shocked if the move is happening now with that team set.

I have never once commented on this board, but I’m tired of this ridiculous response. None of the Coppermine girls are old enough to drive and the kid who you are referring to is one of the nicest kids on the team (and this is from a parent of a kid that just left). Stop talking about girls and get a life.

Hero's was poaching players during the season? Hope they communicated with current players so they weren't cut after tryouts with nowhere to go. Would be surprising if the coppermine player went there, there's already enough balls hogs there.

I think it concerns the Heros parents as well. Some of whom seemed unaware of the late roster addition. Not justifying rudeness, only interest.

Since they don’t have tryouts they reached out to girls end of June to gage interest. It is my understanding they did give the girl they cut a heads up and she was able to attend other clubs tryouts and find a new home.

Is there a directory with the parent information of all the good girls at lacrosse? How does a coach just reach out to players they are interested in from other clubs?

Some clubs don't even list their rosters.

Let’s recap: Coppermine ends last season as #1 and adds a top middie giving them a trio of top middies. A middie that was relegated to attack leaves mid season and goes to M&D. Coppermine loses way more games than anticipated this summer but game plan doesn’t change. 2 former middies that were relegated to defense leave at end of season to become middies for M&D. Coppermine doesn’t have people to flock to their tryouts so she jumps ship again to the new #1 team.

Hope Heros doesn’t suffer the same fate but I feel for their current middies and the new middie from M&D who can’t be happy about this. They were already #1 and had managed to stay out of most of the drama and kept most parents happy. Good luck.

More often than not, families reached out to the coach at some point or were registered for tryouts at some point and clubs often keep a database. So it likely is the player's parents that made first contact.

Or, if the club does make first contact and they don't have the information, there is probably someone on the team already that does.

Just about every tournament has public rosters for all teams, these girls have been playing the same teams and same girls for 6 years, you don’t think opposing coaches know who the top kids on other teams are?!?

Hey let’s recap guy- the two defenders who you claim were middies have never been middies. They have played defense for 4 years. They also did not leave so they could become middies. They might play some midfield but the reasons for departure are not related to their positions. And to set record straight there are 3 good defenders and two good attackers leaving Coppermine for M&D. It was not a conspiracy they all had their own reasons. At this point anyone claiming to know why anything happened is probably wrong unless it’s the parent of that kid or one of the coaches involved. Some mouth breathing dad with low self esteem posting lies on this site is probably the least likely source to have any actual facts.

3. paranoid parents

Aren't they having supplemental tryouts? There has been a lot of roster turnover for a team that was once #1.
