Lesson to a club trying to establish itself as premiere ..... when multiple parents express the same concerns about too much offense being run through the same few players listen to what they're saying. Don't just ignore them and try to label them as problems. That's how teams lose multiple girls in one tryout week

Let’s get some early feedback from the tryouts:
Hero’s: Added 1 mid from mnd and sounds like roster is set.
MnD: Sounds like the rumors were true and added 4 good players from CM, but what else did they add/ lose?
Skywalkers: I imagine a big turn out and still 1 tryout to go. Any word on additions/ subtractions, anyone there that would move the needle for SW Blue?
CM: Seems to be a rough week for them, lost a big part of their team and sounds like they added 2 mnd players that didn’t play much. How was their first tryout?
MDU: Team played well to end the season. What additions did they make.
Crush: Not sure if they will be making any moves since they did theirs a few weeks back, but never know if any players jump to maybe SW.

Hero's and M&D are always going to be the big winners by high school. They produce recruits every year

such a waste with all the potential talent that was there to have coached the way they did.

You know this is a problem on like 50% of clubs right, I mean, at least, perception wise, some parents are going to be unhappy the ball does to the same few kids.

On that topic, do most clubs track stats and share with team?

They lost 3 defenders and an attacker.
Mnd runs offense thru the 2 coaches kids and new girl.
Heros best midfielder is their biggest offense threat.
Sw has a few food dodgers.
Copp has 3 good mids.
So much of this it overblown. There are better kids on every team.
Not saying it’s right or wrong. You just can’t please all parents that want their kid to be the star. Most will find out their daughter wasn’t a big time mid anyway and will have to play another position

Parents got the previous coach fired, still left for another club, saddling their old team with a new parent coach? Is that correct? Was the previous coach a parent?

Previous coach is still at least an AC or, as some have said here, a co-HC so she wasn't fired.

Absolutely wrong across the board. Not sure where or who you are getting your info from, but my daughter is one of the girls who wanted to join a new team. Not once did we ever try to get the previous coach fired, She is a fantastic person and was there for us all along. Each of the girls who left did it for their own reasons not some notIntelligent conspiracy. You can’t make up some story and start claiming to know why they wanted something new. Love or detest the new coach is irrelevant. If you really need to know- go to the source. Some of these decisions have considered for a long time and you are an imbecile to try and spin your own version. It is the decision that a 13 year old girl made and you have no control over it.

I too have a daughter who decided to go to another team. But our daughter and our family absolutely love and appreciate the Coppermine coaches, the Coppermine parents, and the Coppermine players. There is nothing here but respect for her old team, excitement for her new team, and love of the sport.

The issue isn’t with 8th grade kids and it is more with fool parents. Every team has one, two or more. Maybe they are living through their kids, maybe have a sense of entitlement, maybe they have never played & don’t understand simple things about the relations with coaches (24 hour rule or demanding PT / position) and or maybe they are just flat out fool. I read stuff here about the M&D, Coppermine, Crush and other coaches and I feel for them because they don’t deserve it on here. I wish the best for everyone and know even with all the changes this summer the competition in the area will only benefit the girls. To all the negative parents posting on here you need to look in the mirror and see if the true problem is looking back at you.

Are the M&D and Coppermine players that moved playing with their old team or new team at Midatlantic this weekend? What about girls that were cut?

Usually they still play with their old team. Girls that get cut are a different story, some play and some don't. I don't really blame those that don't.

Absolutely ridiculous that these clubs hold tryouts before the season is even over. Way to ruin team play for the last and one of the biggest tournaments of the season.

100%....tryouts are earlier and earlier - makes no sense to held them before season ends!

All about trying to get the top girls. When my oldest started club, all tryouts were in August, slowly each club tried to get an earlier tryout, now here we are.

He will fit in with the middie mom that cries to the refs every time her daughter ball hogs the goal.

My understanding is that most of the Coppermine girls plan on playing this weekend. Speaking for our family, we will miss everything about the team and our daughter has grown as a player as a result of her experiences with her Coppermine teammates. Its an emotional departure but not an angry one by any means. Our daughter plans on going all in for these last games in appreciation for the experiences she has had and to show her new teammates that she will show up for every game.

It didn't used to be this way. Just a few years ago tryouts were all right after midatlantic. Just a few years before that they were in August. Parents complained about August cause they wanted to go
on vacation. But they never should've moved them to before Midatlantic. You can thank M&D. They did it first and all others followed
