Who’s this Andrew Smith clown I keep hearing about? I don’t think he coaches the 2030s If in Nassau/ wester Suffolk with decent player, would you rank the tryouts you’ll be attending in this order:
1. Jesters 2. Igloo 3. Top Guns 4. Team 91 5. Tradition 6. Liberty
I assume Jeaters is tough to break into, so do we do 2-4?
Thoughts? What are you looking for in a club? What are your goals for your daughter? Top 25 academic division 1 is the goal Well, here are those clubs with the number of commits to "top 25" academic schools over last 4 years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) 1. Jesters (4) 2. Igloo (0) 3. Top Guns (25) 4. Team 91 (0) 5. Tradition (3) 6. Liberty (15) Top 25 academic will get lots of discussion/disagreement I went with us news top 30 national university plus top 30 liberal arts Of course, Igloo just started and has zero recruiting classes while Tradition has only had one class. also I'm sure I missed a few here and there Appreciate this. Thank you! Was jesters 1st recruiting lass 2023?

All clubs are always looking to improve their teams.

Team 91 just started too - they inherited the older teams when they entered the market by buying a club. I think the 2028s are their first class.

Yes they aren’t new at all. Also jesters first class was 2022. Igloo had a girls program in the past (2023 and 2024 teams) but folded at some point and YJ absorbed the teams. That were good teams not sure what happened. Guess they are having another go at it.

Thoughts? Curious why you would leave out YJ completely In Nassau and wouldn’t play on YJ Nassau and YJ Suffolk too far Would you elaborate why you wouldn't play on YJ Nassau? Is it because they are not competitive enough or something else? We are considering.

No I think the new 91 girls owners are just that - new. They inherited the older teams and just kept the brand. So it will be interesting to see where their first class of girls go.

Anything else. Or nothing.

The 2029s are legit. The 2030s are good and the 2033s also seem like they’ll be very good. Maybe it was just hard for the older classes.

That girl is amazing. That being said, I don’t think one girl makes a team at that age / level. Most of American select is YJ and 91 / split pretty evenly.

Looks like the Jesters are launching “LI Jesters EAST” based on their announcement this morning.
Will be interesting to see how this develops but kudos to them for going for it. YJ did it in reverse with minimal success in Nassau but think there is more of a population in Suffolk for the Jesters.

A lot of the "East" clubs are daddy coaches who don't know anything. Rebels, Legacy, Express....

Again. No one from ROAR came down to play with the 2030 team in Hershey. AND 91 did make the playoffs this weekend and did beat Liberty in the playoffs and were the Champions. Again when you don't check your facts before you post you just look notIntelligent.
As for a dad from 91 picking a fight, it seems to me that parents say a lot of really mean stuff on the sidelines and then when someone calls them out on it they get accused of starting a fight.
It seems that this site is a lot of accusing and team bashing and not a lot of helpful information for parents trying to negotiate the travel experience. hat is a fact. The more everyone says it the more it sounds like people trying to make excuses for the loss.

I'd argue that you shouldn't say anything negative to any opposing parent on the sidelines. Nothing good is going to come of it and it just makes you look like pathetic and insecure.

I am not a M&D or MDU parent, but the parent of another MD based 2030. Looks like the MD based teams play a few more games (mostly mid to low 30s) than some of the teams in other regions, but most don't play anywhere close to the mid-40s. Part of the discrepancy between MD and other regions is that the MD teams play with their clubs in the NGLL in the spring, but in many regions, the girls play in a rec league during the spring season and then with their club in the summer and fall tournaments. Either way, M&D (and MDU for that matter) play more games than most of their peers because they go deep in playoffs in both the NGLL and in summer/fall tournaments that have playoffs. I cannot fault them for winning consistently against high level competition.

Interesting that they beat M&D last week and now this What a "stirring the pot" comment! This is sports, there could always be upset. And these are 11/12 year old kids. It happens. And the funny thing is 91 beats Liberty at the championship game.

Any major changes to teams with tryouts coming up? Hearing a lot of interest Jesters Black, Iglloo and top guns for tryout season I'm always curious why Jesters A & B teams have such huge gaps for many grades? Whether Igloo would last is always a question, otherwise, they have a competitive A team, esp. if this is your only sport or priority sport by far.

Keep in mind that club directors are going to come onto boards like this one and say that a lot of girls are trying out for their club as a marketing tactic.
There will always be movement especially on the girl's side. It was never that common when my son was going through the travel lacrosse thing a few years ago.

Not sure what you mean but there is a huge gap between most A and B teams except maybe YJ Jesters have somewhat consistently top-10 A teams in various grades and they have 3 teams (at one point they have 4 teams in some grades). You would have thought that they have stronger B teams like YJ. Many other clubs don't have consistently top 10 ranked A teams.
