If you aren't at HHH by your sophomore year, D1 is not in your future. What a dense comment. I guess that stud2027 on team ten and malvern should just quit now[/quote] He’ll be at HHH by September.

Stop dealing in absolutes. HHH and NLF have an unfair advantage but it’s still the best place for D1 talent. You can get recruited anywhere but it’s a tougher road as a player. My older son went D1 out of NXT. Also very comical to discuss Dukes 28s in this conversation. Dukes HS program is a joke. They are elite at guest players and 10 year old tournaments. Not college recruiting.

HHH better recruit fast or they are doomed You are not paying attention. ALL of the best kids play for HHH! The reason they perform so poorly at tournaments is the coaching is so bad! For development go anywhere but HHH. Then jump to HHH because even though they can't coach, they can get you recruited. PS. NLF will rank their players higher the non-NLF players. They are unbiassed though. Their player just happen to be the best.

I would argue they split playing time to get kids recruited which costs them games. Can’t just play the D1 kids

You clearly are only paying attention to the 2025’s as I assure you the HHH 26’s and ‘27 have nowhere near the best players at their respective age groups. Coaching stinks everywhere in Club lacrosse.
The HHH recruiting well has run dry. They may have one or two kids go to a duke or UVA, but by and large their current rosters are looking like maybe mid D3 at best. It’s important for everyone to have proper expectations moving forward.

Why do you think the TEN offensive studs are going anywhere? 1 win 3 loss 1 tie isn’t studs. BL championship is.

HHH did have the top rated 5 star in PA again this year. Six years in a row. Numbers argue top players in state are at HHH year in and out. And top 2 rated 2026s in state at LaSalle this year. PIAA flexing. Ben McCarthy plays for Freedom, #4 rated overall 2024 per inside lacrosse

The HHH 2028's are currently ranked 405 in the country. Gonna need to make a big turnaround heading into the high school years at that age group. The HHH 2029's are ranked 281. Looks like both teams have folded up for the summer. Should be interesting to see how BM turns those age groups around. News flash, the whole roster has to be turned over to make it happen which is gonna make some people pretty upset.

They have to play tourneys as a combo 29/30 team, it’s actually sad. How can the Roughriders, true Philly field teams but HHH cannot?

Public School parents always have to justify their decisions. Im sorry for you, pal. Make a decision that’s best for your kid and leave it at that. For those that send their boys to MP (or Haverford, Lasalle, Salesianum), good for them. You sound bitter and jealous

27s were ranked 1000 last year And they didn’t magically jump to be a top 50 team. They didn’t all decide to get serious about hitting the wall. Half the roster got cut and they had a flood of talented players flock in for the NLF.

What is the Alliance Lacrosse League? My son was asked to guess play in it. Is it worth it? You mean his team was asked to play in the league or he asked by another team to play in it? Pretty cool event to play in if he is not playing a fall sport at that time.

Try real hard and you may get the call up to the big leagues next time.

We are new to the area. My son is a 2031 (I also have a 2034) and we are looking for a local club team. He’s good player but not elite. What’s the local club scene look like? I’ve heard Birdogs and Dukes are the two best 31s. Can anyone give me an idea of the landscape?

Their club director essentially controls the Philly D1 pipeline. Good guy to have on your side. He also happens to be highly vested in the birddogs. You need to get there.

If your son isn’t elite, go to HHH, will be easier to make the team. Dukes youth teams dominate all competition, including the aforementioned Birddogs

It's a tale as old as time. Older G apparently ripped off Duke's and the Duke's parents (Duke's National Team many years ago). I don't know what younger G has done, but it seems like he's more than likely guilty by association. The people who love the Gs, love the Gs. They both seem to be really good at developing programs. Older G is better at making money off of players developed elsewhere (Nationals LC). Younger G is better at developing players (Penn Lax, Fusion Philly, Fusion Futures). That's my understanding having not been personally involved with either or the Duke's national thing. I'm sure others have more information/more accurate information, but the story's been told a bunch. Scour the BOTC archives and you might find more.

OMG, it isn't every day that one post captures everything wrong w BOTC (fortunately). An Anonymous poster tries to tarnish the reputation and hard day-to-day season-to-season work of developing children into athletes, lacrosse players and good and disciplined kids. All this based on "a tale as old as time", "guilty by association", and the poster's "understanding having not been personally involved", while the poster acknowledges he/she/they are "sure others have more information/more accurate information." The poster does this based on rumor and "archived" BOTC posts, but provides no details or any specific information at all that other posters w actual facts and personal knowledge could straighten out the misinformed rumor-monger. Congratulations to this anonymous poster: you have been awarded Bottom-Feeder of the Week!

This is clearly a Dukes parent. Please include the list of guest players your club flew in for all of the “domination”. Then please include the list of bench players past over. Hope your son is somewhere in between.
