It’s a shame all you guys weren’t able to play at nationals. But then again think how ridiculous all of your 14 year old daughters would look wearing 13u backpacks. YJ parent gloating about their National Championship needs to go back to their board. Hahahaha, what a lost. Too bad they don’t play in ngll for the real national championship. The one they won is akin to UNC bball’s fake 1924 national championship. For the people who need to hear this, the tournament called “Nationals” doesn’t mean you win a “national championship”. It’s comical at this point.

YJ parent gloating about their National Championship needs to go back to their board. They have to have a reason they can't beat us. Is it the the same excuse they use as to why they play a weak schedule? They won't even play the top teams on LI. But they have a different excuse for that... Notice how none of you are disputing the fact that you have 14 year olds on your teams. Wonder how you’d do against the age equivalent 2028 Long Island teams. Bc you are a clown. I can name maybe 3 or 4 girls that just turned 14 (last few months) on the top 3 teams in mid Atlantic. And they are very good players but not even the top players in the mid Atlantic. The rest of the kids on the top teams are 12-13 years old. Just like your girls. Your old tired narrative is not worthy of response. Maryland boys have a ton of hold backs but it isn't an issue on the girls side. Figure out a way to compete in the Mid Atlantic or even the NGLL before making excuses. Go back to your forum.

What kind of deals? Don't think there is a girl on that team that doesn't deserve to be there... Ignore the troll. Those who made it know. If you haven’t heard, it’s hard but the team was very good and only needed to add a few pieces. Right and it sounds like they filled all the holes, mnd should be really really good. Heros only lost one and at a position of strength so they are still top flight. Coppermine lost their best attack to mnd but should still be strong. Seems like mdu and integrity took a step back, sw picked up some kids cut from Elsewhere and DC teams are silent right now. Fall should be insane bw the big 3 teams. Coppermine lost their best attack ? Great evaluation ! Sometimes change is good ! Right. Coppermine doesnt have a "best" attack which is maybe why the team didnt work for her.

Zero 14 year old's on my daughter's team and i would guess a majority of the other top midatlantic teams. Thanks for coming over and giving us all a good laugh though - this thread needed it. Enjoy the National Championship.

Our girls need a break after playing a grueling NGLL schedule and then smashing your team all summer. But congrats on the backpacks, I guess, good to see the 3rd best LI team win something finally, even if it was against inferior competition.

Then why not play in nationals and Maryland cup You act like our teams have never played before. We see you every single summer, and you guys haven’t won a thing when real competition is lined up. At least team 91 has won a summer genesis and top guns have made the LFTC final; you guys have done nothing.

Then why not play in nationals and Maryland cup Why drop out of Mid Atlantic Summer Tournament oh right because you couldn't win it. You are notorious for going to inferior tournaments or losing real ones. Prove me wrong...

Then why not play in nationals and Maryland cup Because both of those tournaments are weak and have very little competition. The Maryland Cup is a lame new tournament that's trying, and failing, to take the place of the MidAtlantic Summer Club tournament.

They fight it because it is dangerous and it is the only sport out there that actually allows it. Although technically is lacrosse came out against it but most clubs and tournaments still choose not to incorporate that rule

When throwing out the holdback accusation you assume it’s based on lacrosse - you have no idea if it was a decision made on educational development, an illness when they were young or a families specific circumstances. Let it be. As for it being dangerous these are girls in the throes of puberty and size and strength differences at this age are staggering anyway. It’s up to the refs to keep the game safe. Not you and your birth certificate checks.

this is definitely written by the parent of a hold back. They're the only ones who won't admit that it's an advantage

In NY what is the cut off for schools? Is it Sept 1 like in MD?

Good question. The lack of response from the NY parents who constantly falsely accuse MD teams of all being 14 to help console themselves after getting whooped is telling so there can't be that much difference. Whatever age difference exists will stop being a factor in the next year or so, we should set up a pool now for what they will cry about then.

Tick…tick…tick…the sound of Hero’s crumbling. Pictures have been sent to the club director and the tournament directors with Hero’s players slashing players across the head and neck, holding on off ball cuts, and just generally fouling. Video was also sent of their coaches yelling and cursing at the girls during the game. This has been going on for years and now there is proof! Players have already left for these reasons and now some are calling teams to see if there are “spots left for top players”. This is the culture there and it has been with these coaches. Winning isn’t everything. Good luck to those leaving and who have left.
