No

Do you need a nomination from a club or hs coach to get invited for summer?

No ,but they would likely reach out to coaches.

That said, just looking at signups, it looks like the event is pretty close to full already. they will probably add a few based on their showcase, but looking at girls signed up on LeagueApps, I can' be believe there are that many spots left.

Last year, 56 middies were invites, 53 are already signed up.

BIC is nearly full for summer '25? It isn't even September yet.

It's been like that for a couple years. And Juniors will be full by the end of September/early October.

Just looking at the current list.... It looks like about 75% of the girls are returning from last summer. The majority of girls (probably 80%) there are starters on top 20 teams. YJ, M&D, Heros, Jesters, Mass Elite, FL Select Aces, Steps all have multiple girls there. Also, there are several girls from top clubs who weren't invited back.

And the ones who aren't on top 20 teams, most of them I've seen and are ballers.

I'm sure if a starter from YJ, M&D or Jesters applied, they would have a pretty good chance of getting in. But Deemer generally does a good job at IDing the best talent.

Unlike Juniors, coaches in the tourney don't get a couple spots in the event, which is why BIC has more talent top to bottom.

How do you know there are several girls from top clubs who weren't invited back?

Because girls talk to each other and some haven’t gotten invited.

When do they let applicants for summer 25' know? New to all of this.

Its rolling. And you never get a "no", you just don't get an invite. Based on my daughter's position, it looks like about 80% of the spots are full now. Looks like most, but not all girls, were at BIC last year.

Very few girls who aren't on top 20 programs and most on top 10. Tons from Mass Elite, Steps, Fl Select, Aces, Heros, M&D and YJ.

All a waste of money

Clearly a waste for anyone targeting playing lax at SUNY Potsdam. But for girls looking to go high D1, these events are important.

Agree you don’t need to do both BIC and Juniors but if you don’t do either, that could hurt you

You don't need to do ANY of this to go "high D1" if you're good enough. Coaches. Will. Find. You.

Ok then, dad. Name a 2025 committ to a top 10 program that didn't go to either BIC, Juniors Open, or UA150.

I agree you don't need to attend every event out there, but not attending any events against top competition puts you at a pretty big disadvantage

Frowned upon to name kids in this forum. Those showcases are mostly for the dads so they can brag. Prospect days for the schools you're interested in. That's how you do it.

8 teams 22 max per team. Unless you can see roster for every position, you can only speculate on how full.

They took 64 middies last year. 58 middies are signed up now.

Lacrosse masters is the best for Ivy schools, including top ten Ivy.

Go to prospect days, historically the best way to connect and make sure the coach knows who you are.

Yes, Lacrosse Masters is excellent. Small numbers and girls actually get a chance to interact with the coaches. It does seem slanted towards the ivies and top academic schools. Not a bad thing! Just check what colleges/coaches will be attending. If schools your daughter is interest in? It’s Worth the money and time. Lots of others, just money grabs.
