Who knows the about FLG Navy, Jesters Black, Igloo & YJ Howe? Are they A, AA?

Jesters - pretty good - play high level tourneys- ranked around #10 on usclub lax
Flg - not that good
Igloo - unknown - new team
Yj Howe - never heard of

Jesters is the only AA here. FLG Navy, Igloo, YJ Howe are glorified B teams who think they are A teams.

YJ Howe is not LIYJ.

JM is really going hard for the Manhasset liberty kids these days

She will probably get them. No club can compare when it comes to recruiting.

We were told excelsior games 28 navy is A and 28 gold is b. Is it worth it financially to do gold at this age?

To be completely honest both are a waste of money

Because no college coach is looking at any 8th graders. 650 bucks (499 + 125 + processing fee) to play a few games? No thanks. The teams in the “other” regions will most likely be inferior competition. As a result you will play a lot of games against kids that aren’t good. It’s just another play by LI lax journal to fleece you out of more money. Next up is the All Long Island Games. If you want to flush money down the toilet so you can share your kid got selected on instagram……have at it.

Does anyone have any information on the selection process for lilj all star games. I see kids that are
Ok but not top players and then top players not selected
How does it work.

It’s money grab from LILJ. They basically work with legacy and yellow jackets. A lot of the kids form those teams will be picked. They are all in business together with the excelsior games and the All American select games. If you noticed there isn’t a single player from top guns selected. If you are selected once you pretty much receive an invitation every year. Oh and you have to pay to play in the all Long Island games.

Also the same ppl that run this all star game program run FLG. Seems that many FLG 2028 players were picked as top players for this all star program. Wonder how they would fair against the top players that weren’t selected

Ding ding ding we have a winner!!! When you see some of these names on the list you can immediately write this event off as legit. That team is barely hanging on. Those players would be smart to find a club that doesn’t uses the fear of not being invited to these events (which don’t actually help kids get recruited) as a way to keep players.

What’s the deal with FLG 28 and tradition 28? Both seem to be fading into oblivion.

Happens at every age group around 8th grade. Top players start going to club with better recruiting reputations.

I think th owners of flg are way more concerned about their Long Island Lax Journal than they are flg. I’m pretty sure their boys program is no more.

In terms of recruiting you can get recurited through any club if you are a strong player. That line is used to sell the fomo as well. Issue with some other organizations is that unless you are on their AAAA team that is ranked top 10 you are a second class citizen. Imagine going onto a team now that a coach has known kids since 4th grade on. Who do you think theyre recommending first on their AAA team...the kid who joined a month ago or six years ago? OR the kid on their AAAA team or their AA team is going to get recommended first to top tier college programs? Be smart and pick a club developing players, forming relationships with them, and whose going to push your kid as one of the first to college coaches...not just once the entire top team has committed.

ing ding ding. You still want to be on whatever club your owns top team for the age group, but make sure it’s a club that is fully committed to the team. My suggestion is the head coach has no political ties (ie a kid) on the taam

Did YJ startup some new teams? Saw these teams on the Queen of the Isle schedule:
YJ Gold 2028, YJ White 2028, YJ Swarm 2028 and YJ Blue 2028.

It’s most likely if combination of girls from a few teams put together. CR and Wink from Flg/LILJ own this event. I would guess due to extremely low turnout they put a couple teams together so they would at least have 4 teams in the bracket. Don’t forget ! You need to attend events like this to attend the All Long Island Games! Looks like people are finally catching on

It probably so the scores dont count against their rankings when their a beats b and c beats d. Work smarter!

Queen of the Island is a nice little tournament for 3rd and 4th graders - why the heck is YJ sending their 2028 teams?

What’s going on with YJ fey? Fey seems to have disappeared and they’re not having a great summer

And TG? I mean, not good in the rankings.

TG black is ranked nearly 40. One of their weakest teams.

FLG will fold by next year if the girls are smart.

YJ is after liberty best kids.

Jesters black is doing well but is heavy attack and mid.

Tradition coaches kid is the star and he doesn’t have the time to commit to player development.

YJ maget is obviously strong but there is a huge drop between them and carranante compared to Fey and Ramos

Do others suspect a lot of change this summer in rosters ? The 2028 class is an odd group

There are always changes. If Liberty can recruit the top 2-3 Tradition kids, they would easily be a top 10-15 team. If Caranante practicee a bit more, that team will be great. FLG kids can help TG or Liberty too.... so many options..
