Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that the eclipse goalie, who lives in fla and goes to img, just played at naptown with the boston team, so how can me meet the WS requirements to play with eclipse? Simple. The family is loaded and rents an apartment in NY to satisfy the 100 mile rule.

People on this forum really have to move on with a lot of these complaints. Same thing with holdback conversations etc. If the powers that be don’t enforce the rules for everybody uniformly, then everybody should stop complaining because year and year out it’s the same old story. If this kid who is an exceptional goalie is so good at a young age and he’s not a holdback and he plays for multiple teams because he has multiple residences, so be it. They’re very good family and stand out children. Many others are breaking rules clear cut. Then there’s others who got punished for being too old by two or three hours.

Plenty here on LI willing to do the same.

Adults ruin something thats supposed to be about kids fun and an experience yes winning is part of that part of life, but its ultimately about and for the kids ...or supposed to be

Naptown doesn't have the same location requirements you silly head. Sweetlax has Florida in the name but not all of the kids are from Florida.

It's fine that he plays in the Naptown tournament - they don't have any restrictions.
I'm complaining that he shouldn't be able to play in the World Series.
That tournament was specifically created for teams of on-age kids, from the same area.
The idea of kids flying in from other areas of the country to create super teams is completely antithetical to the spirit of the World Series.
Win Naptown, Sandstorm, or any of the other tournaments for super teams - good for you.
But, don't spoil the integrity of the ONE prestigious tournament specifically for teams where all the kids live close to each other, just so you can add one more trophy to your shelf.
You just ruin it for all the kids with parents who can't afford to fly their kids all over the country to collect tourney wins.

There is no such thing as a prestigious youth tournament. If you know any of the dads that arrange the super all star supreme local teams for the WS than you get that it is all a joke. They plan for years for the WS glory there sons will bring

You keep harping on this Eclipse goalie but nothing has been mentioned again about the Chaos kid who is a game changer and who now lives in VA and previously lived in PA and well outside the 100 mile radius. Just keep quiet or move onto another sport and let the Lax Elite take care of their own.

You don’t need to live in the state, city or county that your team is from. You just have to live within 100 mile radius of the Teams headquarters.

91 Chaos has a kid that doesn’t live in NY? word is he didn't when rosters were submitted but somehow miraculously he fell into the 100 mile radius with some fancy footwork. But yet others didn't get an exception for ever so slight rule misses . Just speaks to point rules are meant to be bent for some but not for all. Next year they shouldn't bother putting rules in writing if they aren't going to stick to them..or they need to apply equal liberal interpretations . And btw this is not bashing the kid I'd feel for him if he couldn't play b/c of an ever so slight rule miss as he has been part of 91 for a few years. But other kids unfortunately haven't been given the same exception for very similar rule misses and have been part of their respective teams for the same time or longer. Those are the kids who are being cheated.

91 Chaos has a kid that doesn’t live in NY? They live in Virginia as his dad is a UVA coach. Seemingly, if you used to live somewhere or have friends on another team, your request for an exception will be approved.

It’s a joke. 91 can’t control themselves. Anything to win a tournament. 2Way cheated last year and 91 this year. They can’t be embarrassed though. No moral compass that organization.

What’s the difference? Not like he is 15 years old It’s a kid who plays on the team besides this event. He is not a holdback and fits the age criteria. I get the 100 mile rule but if my son’s team lost to his team and he was the deciding factor I would be totally fine with it. As would most. It would be a different story if the kid was only on the roster for this team for this one event.

91 only realistic team from LI with a shot. Igloo missing their top scorer, and has limited talent after that. Eclipse is the obvious team to beat, but a couple of others will show up with new players and surprise. Wishing all the best of luck, and enjoy the experince. I agree on Eclipse. Little harsh on Igloo. 91 lets see if 28’s mix well with 29’s. 28’s already played at Qualifiers and practicing for months. Team has gelled and looks great. Will be top 4 for sure. Igloo has injuries and ineligible lefty attack because of a few hours hurts tremendously. That comment probably not meant as disrespect. lets be fair here even with the "28"'s playing w/ 91 there not much different than igloo it was a 2 game goal with the last goal being scored on an empty net in the WSQ, they beat them straight up as well this year .. nobody knows who can compete w/ eclipse... Igloo hasn't played them yet. 91 lost 3x to them Eclipse is def the team to beat but dont count anyone out yet these are 12/13 year olds let downs happen on all sides. Having watched all of these teams I would argue that 1 player won't make or break Igloo there is plenty of depth on that team they run 20+ kids a game on the field ..29 age group is not very deep in general.. but 91/igloo/express have most of the top talent with a couple of others here or there on teams. Id give Igloo the nod on depth of roster currently. The 29 age group is plenty deep. They are just spread out. The best 29 plays on Venom. The best offensive player who regularly plays 29 ball is on Mooselax. The reason Igloo loses at all is because they run 20+ kids a game. Taking the bona fides off to give playing time to keep people happy costs them. Once the kids hit high school and the first catholic school kid gets poached by express it’s all over for Igloo. 29 age group is not that deep u actually just validated my point and no argument on the 2 u mentioned. And if u ever watched igloo play you would retract your comment. The depth is not the issue and losses how many do they have this year and to who? Sorry but that part of your statement is not accurate I would guess the team with the most and best 28s have the best shot. I emphasize most because if you add 3-4 players who have been playing high school level lacrosse the last few months, it’s going to make a big difference. That would be the Rebels. They have 5 of them starting. They were just knocked out

So watered down. Connecticut has one team in it. Yes, it’s a better team than all the Long Island ones. And the reason they are so much better is because the lack of saturation of options for the good players. Not to hard for anyone with a brain to figure out.
