M&D red is not an A team. They would not do well there. They will stay in B so the parents win and can say they are awesome without ever having to prove it.

I thought if you won the B division you were required to move up to A?

No although most do. There have been teams that won the B division in back-to-back years before.

Winning 1 year it is suggested, but not required. If you win 2 years in a row you are required to move up the next year. Which is a moot point this year because there is no more NGLL after this

I believe this year NGLL A division will include Heros White, M&D Red, and MDU West. League suggested Integrity move up so as to not have 2 teams in the B division but they declined. While the 3 teams mentioned will likely struggles against the top teams in the A, 8th grade NGLL has enough teams that they will have some competitive games for sure.

Tournaments are a different situation. Tournament directors will not allow a club's B team in the top divisions (which is typically appropriate based on teams from other areas).

Too bad the NGLL doesn’t split the league into A-B-C like they should! It would solve a lot of problems and the teams would be so much better aligned and competitive with one another.

How about 10 divisions of 4 teams. That way there are 10 champions. NGLL was started as an elite league for competition at the highest level. If you really want a C level then save your money and play MYLA

I am not sure that anyone reads this thread. What are some good high B team or lower A team options for players? Will B teams still add and make cuts at this age?

Not sure why a thread was started specifically for B teams. There will be a lot of movement this year at tryouts and very little the next two years for the 28 class. This will be the tryout season that will make or break teams. Not many players jump ship once they’re in high school.

They should have never picked up a team from HOCO. All M&D wants is the money that each team makes.

So the B team coach at HoCo took a team and created M&D West, which resulted in the club losing that age group and then that coach got fired from M&D less than a year later?

Where do you all get this stuff. My daughter plays for this coach. He was in no way fired. His daughter has decided to change sports next year. So he made the decision on his own to spend more time with his family and focus on coaching his younger daughter in the same program. It’s amazing how a small amount of people want to create drama and spread lies. Why don’t you call the program and ask them rather than be a pawn in someone’s game.

Much easier to make up juicy gossip than some old boring reality .

Or... people love trying to talk badly about M&D all over this forum. So really you shouldn't be surprised. Lot's of false accusations and rumors about M&D all over the place.

Go to a tryout of a team you’d like to try. If talented enough they will take you. Gotta see if it’s a good fit for both !

Hopefully he doesn't also tell his younger daughter's team they are a waste of their parents' money.
