What’s the latest scoop? Any rumors on movement pre tryouts. Coppermine has their tryouts scheduled for 6/25 and 6/26- a full two weeks before any other club. Might encourage some of those that want to give it a shot to show up for tryouts (at the risk of ticking off their current club). Hope Coppermine does not drag out the selection process to allow those that they cut to find a new home.

The 2028s are July 9 and 11. 2029 and younger are in June which gives an early look before the other big clubs.

Why would someone want to join that club when its likely the hardest place to break into lineup?

I am really surprised they are not doing invitation only like Hero's.

With the other top clubs having their tryouts a couple weeks later, it would force girls to commit before going to other tryouts.

Exceptions may be made for the blue team, but definitely not for black.

Poor evaluating this year and last for MD. Sounds like all the age groups have a few kids that got overlooked when they shouldn’t have. SMH I will start by saying my kid made it. I would say of the 4 hours of tryouts, girls were in front of the evaluators actually being evaluated 35-40 minutes. The girls that were able to stand out during those 35-40 minutes made it while those that didn't did not make it. But that amount of time is certainly going to lead to mistakes by evaluators on both ends of the spectrum. But kids and parents will continue to pay and show up so there is really no incentive for them to change it. Events that are "highlight reel" application only have their own issues as well. FACTS - it is a small window to see kids so there are going to be misses. Just make sure you ball out at a tryout and you don't have to worry, but then again, you may look like a ball hog from trying to do so much. Good luck!

I'm old enough to remember when tryouts were always in August, then some clubs moved to mid july, then early, now June, its absurd. Tournaments are happening AFTER these tryouts. US Lacrosse needs to get a handle on this, or just do tryouts in winter, like Florida and some other regions do.

Just asking a sincere, factual question: where does the Sky Walkers 2028 Blue team practice? Mainly at St Paul’s school for girls. Going to be lots of girls at tryouts.

Heros with a decisive win over Coppermine today. Lots of competitive games at Impulse with Crush continuing to look strong. They added a top middie from M&D which only makes them stronger.

What top middie? M&D still has all their top middies as of today. The middie that started for them since third grade until the new addition in the spring became the starter instead of her. She was still getting a lot of playing time and was a big contributer to M&D and will do the same for Crush.

Jumping in mid season too is bad. Parents are out of control.

Scores aren’t posted for Md playday meaning they are just practice games. Congrats on a practice win! Should have been at impulse where games counted !

Other players develop, get better, faster, stronger and over take the existing players. Just because players play on a team since they could walk doesn't mean they are entitled to keep the playing time. New players come in that are better and have overtaken the old players. If you don't like that, work harder and get better. M&D beat Eagle Stix yesterday without the top middie. Guess it worked out for both sides.

She was still getting a lot of playing time and was a big contributer to M&D and will do the same for Crush. Okay Mom Too be fair, if a club runs two middie lines with roughly equal playing time, all six players could be considered "top" middies, especially if they play for a club ranked in the top 10. Lots of teams mix up their top 6 middies depending on the game, the draw dynamics, etc. Not saying that M&D does this, but just defending the mom's description from a general perspective. Bigger question is why depart mid-season? Closer to Crush practice sites, etc.? Now convinced that Crush recruiting will be successful? Crush is a well-coached team on a good run, but leaving M&D--in mid-season--while entering high school, is a significant move.
