What’s going on with Hero’s Green lately? Taking a lot of L’s??? Still a really good team. You take losses when you play top teams every game. Happens to M&D and YJ too. Relax Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better 🤣🤣

Heros losing a few tight games, big deal. It should be apparent now more than ever, winning holds no value outside of bragging rights. If winning lets you keep talent or add talent, great.
The end goal for rising Soph teams must be to play close games against top competition so that next year when coaches are watching, you are in that top bracket or close to it.
Heros won’t have a problem.

How is Sky Walkers 27 doing? A lot better than the previous versions. I would say they are right there with MDU locally, and the Prime Time, Capital, Steps tier.

Why in the world would they make a change before recruiting? This has to be someone stirring the pot.

SW would win matchups against these teams 45%-50% of the time. 98% of their scoring comes from the new girls to the team.

Some coach who doesn’t know my kid going to come in and try and sell her to college coaches? Please tell me the male coach isn’t going to be the only one staying. To be fair, the "selling" is done more by the club directors than age group coaches. However, will Mike gone, the question is how will Molly step up? As a parent of a SW 24, I can tell you that our team's head coach (Crissy/Daniela) had little to no involvement talking to college coaches except for one they had a personal relationship with.. It was all done by Mike.

Skywalkers has plenty of talented coaches at all ages and rotating coaches isn’t something new at the program. At the next level coaches and teammates change a lot so this speed bump will help them prep for college

Their model changes coaches at certain ages which isn’t a bad idea. But this one has a LOT more to do with parent influence than it does the model.

Yes, let's prep them for college by making sure they will struggle to get recruited due to making such a drastic change for recruiting year. Because, "hey, college players and coaches change all the time". SMH. Not affiliated with SW in any way, but as a parent I would be livid with this decision. Now the team has to learn new offensive and defensive philosophies on the fly this fall, and try to execute in front of coaches, with very little practice time. Expect play to decline significantly, and players/parents to struggle with direction and plans to showcase all the kids equally. Just my thoughts...

The girls will have the old and new coaches to advocate for them if need be. You act as if girls ever changing clubs is an insurmountable death nell for recruiting. It isn't. Girls will show up in showcases or id camps, coaches will watch and things will be status quo. The offense and defense will be no worse than before any change. Defense was pretty solid and straight forward with man2man- that travels from coach to coach unless they switch to zone. Offense was mostly solid, but was based off of simple motion, so added concepts shouldn't be a big drag. These are competitive 27s, not 29s; girls are athletic and skilled in their own right. They should be able to get up to speed with good coaching pretty quickly. If it bothers you too much, focus on your own team- assuming you aren't a SW parent stirring the pot.

If a club's style changes as a result of a coaching change, the blame needs to be at the club directors/owners, not the coach. The best clubs play similar (though not identical) styles across all teams and ages. What noone here is saying, but I think most parents are thinking, though, is "Will SW be able to recruit as effectively without mike? The 26s should give an early sign, but that is the uncertainty, not who is coaching. Like someone else mentioned, recruiting coaching calls are made my directors not age group coaches.

How is Sky Walkers 27 doing? A lot better than the previous versions. I would say they are right there with MDU locally, and the Prime Time, Capital, Steps tier. Rumor has it there is a coaching change happening?? At SW? In their final year essentially? They have arguably the best HS coach in the state. With a ton of college connections. Why in the world would they make a change before recruiting? This has to be someone stirring the pot. How is Sky Walkers 27 doing? A lot better than the previous versions. I would say they are right there with MDU locally, and the Prime Time, Capital, Steps tier. Rumor has it there is a coaching change happening?? At SW? In their final year essentially? Why in the world would they make a change before recruiting? This has to be someone stirring the pot. Not a rumor. It has been confirmed by a patent on the team. That doesn’t sit well as a current member of the team… what’s the plan? Some coach who doesn’t know my kid going to come in and try and sell her to college coaches? Please tell me the male coach isn’t going to be the only one staying. This information needs to be public NOW for the good of the girls on the team! Who coaches this team? New 2027 coach was a part of the SW 2025 staff and is also an assistant at SPSG

Prediction for tryouts … any moves on top teams? I wouldn't expect much movement. You are really rolling the dice moving clubs with about 14 months until recruiting happens.

Any movement at 2027? Heard SW added some talent? Heard their their coach walked, is that true? They will have new coaches this year. The coaches did not walk. Most people, including the coaches, are not happy with this change. There were a lot of tears yesterday at the end of the tournament as the girls said goodbye to the coaches. They will be sorely missed next year.
