You people are a sad bunch. Arguing over what team has more holdbacks. Saying better coaching was difference. Saying the new additions were the difference makers, not the holdbacks. Just admit it. If the “elite” hoco league had to compete on age with the rest of the country they would be nothing more than slightly above average. Plain simple truth. You all know it you just will never admit it. Money bought you your YouTube and Instagram fame and maybe a few championship T-shirts as well as a hoco first place. It also bought your kid an extra year to develop and become good. It’s all over now. On to high school with your 15/16 year old freshman. Haha! Love LI dad's sanctimonious jealous rage. Riddle me this LawnGuyland: If LI kids are all on age, why is LI HS lacrosse's all-time leading scorer, now a college sophomore wearing Gary Gait's old jersey, about to turn 21 just a few days after championship weekend? LI never holds kids back... but somehow 13 year old 8th graders turn into 21 year old sophs? Pride of St. Anthony's & #1 overall PLL pick this year also 23+ year old senior. Maybe most LI teams don't have holdbacks... just the good ones. Hahah nice try. Pride of St. Anthony’s graduated high school on age, was not reclassed, and was not held back. I can’t speak for the 21 year old because I do not know the full story. You should also try not to speak about things unless you can back it up with facts. There are currently zero reclassed players on the two best teams from LawnGuyland. I suspect next year the number will be less than 4 total across the 5 best teams. Which is why they would have a hard time competing with your crabs and hawks. And what’s with the anger? Did I hit a nerve? Does it sting just a little that your son is either: A) not good enough to stand out on age so you had to make him repeat a year. Or B) on a team that’s good because of the kids described in option A. Facts, huh? Funny you mention it, we played 91 Venom last fall. Spoke with the coach between games, good guy (the bald guy). I told him his goalie is fantastic, he said yeah, he just reclassed down from 2027 91 team. You guys are pieces of work up there!! Yes, you are right. I completely forgot about the goalie. Not ashamed to admit it. Big difference between forgetting about one kid and making up the age of players (St. Anthony’s reference) or flat out being dishonest about the team your son is on (crabs reference). We can talk about it at NLF or NAL if you happen to be there. I’ll be the one with the blue iroc-z with tinted windows. Touché…

Can't believe neither express team put out a productive season in Hocob Orange team stranger really. In Elite, the goal differentials of the teams from first to last go: +48, +45, +22, +1, -9, -13 (DCEB), -28, -66 So consistent what what you'd expect from the standings/team records. In AAA they go: +44, +27, +12, -12, -8, -29, -2 (DCEO), -32 Ending with a 1-5-1 record with only a -2 goal differential is weird. And the biggest goal differential in 2028 elite last year was -44, which underscores how rough the spring must have been for Team Money at -66. Good for those guys for stepping up to the challenge, and I hope it makes them stronger for the summer.

yea DCEO does have a couple of big athletes. especially on defense but no one that would make any difference on the A team, considering they need some people who can score.

I am pretty sure scoring is also the issue for DCEO and DCEB. So maybe they need to work on getting and coaching stronger attacks across the board? With the amount of kids they have, they have to be able to work with something? Or maybe they will wait for kids to play DMV musical teams for next year....

Championship will crabs over the hawks decisively - those two teams are so much better than anyone else in HoCo this year. Worth noting that the only local teams who have beaten either of those teams in recent memory are the hit squad and chain bridge all stars.

Gave up a meaningless goal at the end for a 9-6 score. Without ever practicing. They only had 19 players on the sideline. The score was 7-2 at one point. Not a fluke. It was the better 12-13 DCE kids and best 5-6 kids from Next Level. Therein lies the problem. The 3 DMV teams don’t have enough elite talent to play with the Hawks and Crabs, too diluted. But when they gang up, they can compete with anyone. 3 teams from the same town not a recipe for success.

Also, they are have tryouts at GMU and another at Independence High School, Ashburn. VLC already tried to restart 2028 last year with Dico coaching, and couldn't get enough kids to tryouts to field a team. They had a chance two years ago with two full teams (which now have numerous players on HOCO elite rosters), but they blew it with organizational incompetence, inability to retain sufficient coaching, and a generally antagonistic attitude towards parents. That organization and burned its bridges with its target audience and they are all now commuting to MD or playing for True.

Hearing several players have entered the transfer portal following HOCO. Where to where? Maybe we should post the DESPERATE emails from Madlax to all the DCE kids literally begging them to come back. Offering free play, no club dues. He just lost 3 of the last original Madlax kids to Next Level, and losing a bunch of the True kids that came over, back to True teams elsewhere. The emails are really pathetic.
