Congrats to Malvern on a great year. They always seem to pull out the last win against Haverford. I do think that Haverford should be ranked higher than Malvern, tough to beat a good team three times in a row. To be expected, we have a looming showdown between Radnor and Springfield in the PIAA semis...provide they both win their quarterfinal games. I think it is DEast and Garnet Valley in the other semi. AA is likely Marple and Rustin in the final.
No comment of the Birddog 2031 team in the NLF or the disdain for GA's coach.

Radnor v Springfield shouldn’t be happening in the semi’s but rankings are what they are. Gotta believe whomever wins that, wins districts. The Vern never has a down year, impressive stuff but I do agree this was the Fords year, beat them when it mattered most

Final rank Haverford, Malvern, Saliesianum, Lasalle, Radnor Why would you do a Final Rank at the start of the PIAA District playoffs?

NLF for 2031s? Tell the ND, Duke and UVA coaches I said hi, I’m sure they’ll be watching. #clownshow Obviously it's not about recruitment at the 2031 level. It's about ensuring the boys see the absolute best competition and grow as players.

Haverford and Malvern beat all top Maryland teams and other top team around the country as well. They both had great seasons. Haverford won the Interac now 2 years in a row. Two undefeated regular seasons is pretty hard to do and all Interac sports are regular season for champ.

HHH doesn’t even have a 2030 team or a 2029, had to merge the two…sound like a top program to you? Normally, top programs get players, weird

It's about ensuring the boys see the absolute best competition and grow as players. For 2031 all that matters is skill development. There is no need to "see the absolute best competition". The outcome of 5th grade lacrosse games is meaningless to any of these kids futures and I don't think it helps them "grow as players." It is fun and may help them grow to love the game more.

I would really like to learn more about HHH from anyone who can comment. We have a son who is looking for the opportunity to play for a team with strong players & coaches and hight-level competition but he has very limited availability during the school year. (Sundays)

Can you clarify? It looks like Haverford won the Inter-Ac championship, right? Malvern won a tournament with 8 teams in it from different leagues. So Malvern is a tournament champ. The national champ is Lawrenceville. Happy for Malvern winning a tournament this year.

(Sundays) What age group? HHH has taken on some younger, really good coaches for the 31, 30, 29 years. The 27's now have the coach from the 24's that are sending lots of kids to great college programs. 26's/31's/32's have the owner coaching. Fall is Sunday practice only 1-2 tournaments based on age. Spring 1 day a week practice (sunday) (except high school). Spring 2x week and 2-4 tournaments based on age. Definately not as much training as some of the other clubs locally. The skill level has dropped a bit in the past couple of years but still a great program to be a part of development, love of the game, and coach loyalty.

Normally, top programs get players, weird BM woeful “invitational tourney” has finally folded after several years of circling the drain. Heard he entered his teams in Summer Slam instead. That’s comical. I’m sure the 2026 parents are thrilled.

The Birddogs at ‘31 are the next team up. Every grade in between is 2nd or literally last tier. If you are a great player, BM can probably land you somewhere.

Yeah I’m sure he’s sweating it finishing the year ranked #4 in the country….this ain’t checkers, it’s chess It's neither. Mackrides had a great year and isn't sweating anything. He played his strongest players and got great results. If you send your kid to a lacrosse factory and they are not as good the folks that play, that's life. There are plenty of private schools who need more talent and your local public school likely does as well. I don't think riding the bench and getting limited reps behind the starters at Haverford or Malvern is really helping the child achiever their (or their parents) lax dreams. If lacrosse is really important to you, go where they can play.

But then they couldn’t say the “played” at Malvern If all they are concerned about is saying they "played" at Malvern (or Haverford) and not actually playing the game, mom and dad should let them do something else because the kid does not like playing lacrosse. Standing on the sideline watching the first team play and get all the practice reps can't be fun.

He could have left team high and dry. Instead, did what he always does, he did the right thing.Stayed to help the players. Guy stepped up for his players and finished out with class for this team. How many others would do that? Why HHH is so strong.

Haverford did back to back. I am pretty sure Haverford and Malvern prefers Interac championships to being ranked higher. They are both great programs and best rivalry in the country by far.

full disclosure - Westtown Dad here,
I was happy to see my boys storm the field tonight and celebrate the 2024 Penn Private School State Championship. Lotsa hard work and dedicated. It wasnt easy but its true what they say hard work pays off
awesome game back and fourth and I want to say how impressed I was with EA coaching. They manage the game very well. hat off to gina buggy who is batting 100% in lacrose hires Bates and Colfer. It must be nice for coach buggy to shut up the haters who say they are only good at coaching field hocky.
but more importantly, Westtown earns the right o celebrate tonite. played the best when it mattered

This forum needs some new discussion. It doesn’t seem capable of going a day or two without discussing BM. GA isn’t relevant at all. We all know what HHH is also, let’s move along. Look at top clubs in area and you won’t find them on top. Good time to evaluate. 26-Ten 27-Ten 28-Freedom 29-Futures 30-Dawgs 31 and below seem to be Dukes world for now

The top 4 teams in the Central League, Springfield, Radnor, Garnet Valley & Marple Newtown, are the top 4 public school teams in the state. That being said, La Salle will most likely win the 3A PIAA championship and Marple will most likely win the 2A PIAA championship.
