Sounds like a situation to stay away from, not unusual for 91 - they seem to be collecting checks with expanded rosters all ages instead of fielding quality teams A few clubs are guilty of this, unfortunately. Obviously priority and focus tends to go to the first team. It doesn't stop some of these businesses from forming a second or even a third team. The Rebels Rockets must have been a trial run in the fall. Sounds like they folded. Express should be embarrassed by their third team. The poor kids probably couldn't match up with most PAL teams. That's a greedy money grab.

If your kid is in the top five players on his travel team he should be playing for 91!

What the rebels did with the rockets was wrong. They never had enough kids to field a full team. They should have cancelled it. But instead they collected 3k plus from 13 kids. And then put them all on other teams (riot, 2032 teams) once they realized they wouldn’t have enough kids. Now they got their 40k in tuition and plenty of unhappy people on the other teams those kids got moved too

That's a greedy money grab. 91 isn't refunding and neither is the Rebels or Express. Clubs only care about their A team. It is a fact, even the parents from the second and third teams know this or eventually find out. There will always be a place for kids who still can't pass or catch especially if the check clears.

Now they got their 40k in tuition and plenty of unhappy people on the other teams those kids got moved too Here's the crime the big clubs commit: your top roster shouldn't have 30 kids on it. Make a solid B team with the bottom 1/3 of that team and your better B team kids. Will do them a much better service (and keep them in the fold long term) than effectively making an above average lax player a bench warmer. The bottom half of the B teams are god awful and should be with the C kids honestly or cut and told to work on fundamentals at PAL or a lower eschelon club.

Don't know about the attack man and rebles east player

There are some good teams mixed in with a lot of low level teams next weekend. Too bad NLF doesn’t include Rebels & Igloo to give some depth to the 2031 teams competing.

Rebel Dad trolling. The NLF opener is always a mixed bag. NLF final weekend is huge for 2026 and 2027, every college in the country is there to watch Express and 91 2026 teams. If you are not on an NLF team you get less visibility, fact. Hence why all roads, for good players, lead to 91 and Express. You can play for the Rebels as long as you like, but by 7th-8th grade parents and players will try to position themselves for the NLF and HS. Rebel's dad clearly has a son who is not good enough and trying to convince the talent to stay. Matter of time.

Rebel's dad clearly has a son who is not good enough and trying to convince the talent to stay. Matter of time. This makes no sense. So you are basically saying that the only way to get recruited is to play in one tournament? The NLF championship? I detest to break it to you but there's just as many coaches (and maybe more) at the NAL and other good tournaments (Naptown etc). Go look at the teams at the NAL the next week. It's a lot better competition. What's ironic is that some "NLF" teams are skipping the summer kickoff and attending the NAL. The West Coast Starz and Team 91 Colorado are flying on for the NAL......not the NLF. If you aren't going to invite the best teams to play......it's not the best tournament.

Agree with above statement. MadLax and Next Level also will be at NAL and NOT NLF. Two of the best 2031 teams. One tournament doesn’t decide a player’s future.

And…your point? Again, one tournament. If NFL is the best competition all around, then all the best teams would be at each of their events.

Fair argument above from LI parent. MD is eerily similar, as the teams get closer to Freshman and Sophomore year the talent tends to move towards a couple of teams. ML and NL typically fall off, CM's 2028 Madlax team was the best in the country when they were in 5th grade even though some of his players should have been in 7th!! They are now essentially middle of the pack for 28 Hoco. So would agree, at younger ages, you may see a few teams dominate or perform well, but as kids get closer to High School things shift as parents try their best to put kids in a better situation.

Yes but B, C level tourney. Schedules will be out tomorrow. It was good event for Brain Cancer. And the Long Ireland this weekend is for two great causes. But it’s just B and C…as A teams seem to never play in events that are larger than the game.

Igloo should make the bracket of 8. Stealth has a tough game with Duke's, Shore, and Chucks same boat. All three maybe 2 and 1, which means it will come to GA per the rules for the last 3 spots in the champ bracket. Best of luck to all.

Congrats to the Chucks for their “domination” of Maryland teams that placed 4th and 7th out of 8 teams in their local spring HoCo league. Gotta beat the best to be the best!
