Since we are approaching camp season, does anyone know of lax camp for MS that caters to advanced players? Most of the camps seem to cater more to beginner/intermediate level.

A loss to Integrity would make them 5-3 and in a mess of a tie with several teams. Currently it looks like they will get in on a better goals against than several teams.

What 8 are making the playoffs besides the obvious? 1-3 is going to be cm, m&d, heros with order coming down to goals against 4 integrity 5-8 is going to be BLC, heros white, m&d shore, next level with order coming down to goals against M&D Shore is currently on the outside looking in and has 2 tough games this weekend. I think if Stars beats Pride, they're in. If Pride wins and wins their other game vs. 3D VA Metro, I think they're in.

That 8th spot could go several different ways. There are 5 teams that still have 2 games left and 2 of those teams are currently in the top 8.

Why is Coppermine exclusively playing at Coppermine fields? NGLL scheduled most league games there. If it were up to the actual Coppermine teams they would be played at Norris Turf - not Edgewood. It’s not an advantage by any means.

NGLL schedules and standings are a joke. They top teams are meeting in quarters and semis because B level teams playing up were given easy schedules and finishing high in standings. I would understand if these schedules were random but they are set up to allow M&D shore / west and red opportunity to make the playoffs while the top 2 or 3 a teams know each other out.

Seeds 1-3 are the top 3 teams in the mid Atlantic/country. They all finished 7-1 with a single goal separating them in the tie breaker. If they got any easier of a schedule they would have all went 8-0 and in the same position. So not sure the argument there. Integrity got a gift of a schedule only playing M&D. However, they probably are the 4th best team. So they finished where they should. The 5th-8th seed doesn’t really matter because I’m not sure they can win a first round game but, they all played similar schedules. It came down to the final weekend to determine the seeding. So the schedule makers did something right to keep it competitive till the last games were played. For the most part anyway. M&D Red going 1-7 with the schedule they were given has to be an embarrassment to the club. Their only win was to a winless team who still managed to outscore them on the season. Would love to know what is going on there…

Why is Coppermine exclusively playing at Coppermine fields? Does anyone actually like playing at CopperPlex? Parking can be an absolute nightmare at certain times, there is no place for girls to warm up, sideways on the one side are VERY narrow. Feels super poorly designed and thrown together. But I guess this is our future until something better comes along.

M&D 1 2. Coppermine 4 3. Heros 3 4. Integrity 7 5. BLC 6 6. Next Level 15 7. Heros White 10 8. Pride 13 USA club ranking hasn’t been updated since 4/29 so your numbers aren’t accurate. The strength of schedule was done based on the sum of the teams opponents ratings divided by 8. The 8th game/opponent was added to everyone based on the current rating of that team as of 4/29. I am not sure the delta in each teams rating for that 1 game when the rankings update will make a difference to the SoS since it is an average rating of each teams 8 opponents. At this point in the season the change in ratings are small unless there is a big upset. Which didn't happen this weekend. I still don't get the argument because the top 3 teams played the toughest schedules outside of MDU having the 2nd. As stated Integrity got an easier schedule then where they finished but do agree they are most likely the 4th best team. BLC can argue they are but we will see because the 4 plays the 5 seed round one anyway. Based solely on SoS, NL, Heros White and Pride benefited from a softer schedule and made the playoffs. Next level is probably the team that should feel blessed and thank the schedule makers. With all that said, teams 1-5 are where they belong and should meet in the semis anyway. So the OP comment about the top teams being screwed by SoS is irrelevant since they all will end up in the semis (should at least).

OF course Coppermine and CopperPlex are affiliated and no its not a "home field" advantage unless the players live close by, which some may.

is skywalkers good? I'm new to this and know people on the team Most people on here are parents or other adult parts of the teams. not sure what you’re looking for. You can’t determine the skills/abilities of an individual player based off of their team if that’s what your trying to figure out. For Sky Walkers blue it depends what you are comparing them to lately. Overall they have been making obvious upward moves. I would go as far to say that they’ve probably had the most upward movement over any of the other teams in our league this year. Did they make the 2029s playing on the 2028 team go back to the 2029 team this year? They put up more points than most other teams in the league against a top team. I thought they were going to bump us out of playoffs for a while. I would say they’re in the top middle of the road and gaining momentum

Next Level and Integrity got the easier schedules. Bottom line the order is a little flip flipped around below the top three but these girls earned their spots and worked hard. We should be proud of them all. Excited for some more good competition come tournament season.

Stop trying to stir up problems about home team advantage. If the fields are used for any practices, it would maybe be the north team and i dont even know if thats how it works out. Pretty sure soccer is in copperplex during the evening weeknights. One could argue (if they were a stir the pot person like you) that teams like crush and nems have the sleep in advantage geographically or that last year M&D did due to playoffs being at Garrison where they practice. No ones doing this but you. So just stop - This kind of sentiment is just toxic.

You got labeled with an easy schedule because you only had to play 1 of the top 3 teams. The consensus is you are the 4th best team. Tale the compliment and move on.

We all know they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Quit complaining. If any of these ‘B level teams’ you speak of played in the B bracket you’d complain that they were too good to be in the B bracket. There is simply a lot of talent in our region. We should all be grateful to have such great competition to help our girls grow! They’re kids…have a snickers and go calm down.

Tradition has lost to multiple teams and yet is still ranked higher than those teams 🤔 Tradition has lost to multiple teams and yet is still ranked higher than those teams 🤔 Said it once (well several times) and I’ll say it again. The rankings heavily favored LI teams this fall. And it’s run out of LI. It’s a joke! But not surprising. The 3 best teams are in Maryland. And are 1,7,9 and should be 1,2,3. The rankings are ratings/rankings are average goal differential plus average opponent strength score. The bias you speak of is not in that equation.

The system clearly gave them a higher strength rating this fall then they deserved. It will all work out by end of summer once there are more common opponents. I.e. once LI decides to travel south to play mid Atlantic teams.

What a fantastic and exciting championship game. Congratulations to Heros for the win and M&D for a well played game. Heros up 4-0 early. M&D battled back and forced OT. Couldn’t have asked for a better finish to the season. Good luck to Heros in the National championship to win it for the mid Atlantic.
