Especially in really tight games. Exactly 3 poles 4 attack 1 goalie 2 fogo 2 lsm 2 SDM 6 middies 20 - honestly what could you expect max? 24? Or are you upset they let kids stand on the sidelines? Realistically, add 2 more Dmids and one more pole. At least at playoff programs.

Do any miaa teams play more than 20 kids during xompetitive games? Only to create a specific mis-match, or because of tough weather conditions (heat/dehydration), or because of in-game injuries. This is not different from high level public school ball...public schools just have smaller rosters. Lower level public school lacrosse (and private schools outside of the DC to Boston corridor), you do see a lot of substitutions, primarily because the players are not well conditioned, walk into dangerous double teams (in-game injury - hand sprains/breaks), have poor technique at specialist positions (G, FOGO - lots of back, hand, thumb injuries in-game), and are prone to throwing hospital passes (in-game head/neck injury). That’s the most ridiculous analysis of HS injuries I’ve heard on botc. Please tell me you did a study….

Who really cares ? Like what are you after ? Ridiculous notIntelligent question. Go watch an A conf game and count… Because the poster made it seem like playing 19 kids was unusual. Was just asking to see if other teams were playing more kids than that or if it was typical. Sorry your blood pressure is so easily elevated. You must have a terribly stressful and miserable existence.

Dear Annapolis Lacrosse, Please play to win. Stop playing players with family ties. The politics surrounding Annapolis lacrosse are out of control. I never expected MSJ and JC to have a better MIAA record than Severn and STM. Or maybe JC and MSJ just have better teams this season. I'm the opposite of whatever you call a Spalding fan, but it's been clear since at least the recruitment of the 2027s 18 months ago that the hierarchy for "great" and "good" AA county athletes is Spalding>STM>Severn. This is true for the 2028s as well, as the best Hawks kids are headed to Spalding and BL, the decent Hawks and Clippers kids are headed to DC privates and St. Marys (some of whom are leaving Severn, new DC players are leaving St Marys also), and Severn is picking up public school kids (Broadneck and Sev Park) and a few Catholic school kids pretty strictly from AA County. Spalding has replaced STM as top dog in AACO and it’s not even close. In 2 short years the new administration at St Mary’s has destroyed the sports program at the school. Until the school can stop with all the alumni hirings things will never change. Sad times and even sadder times when the faculty at STM send their kids to Spalding not STM is all you need to know about the school.

Archbishop Curley should be in the A conference. It is embarrassing to the league that a team like Curley is in the B. Curley would beat or put up a good fight against any team not named Calvert Hall.

Curley has scrimmaged some of the lesser teams in A conference over the past five years and been destroyed. There is a great divide between bottom of A and top of B. Stay where you are for your own good. Please don't tell me this team is different. You are losing to more than CHC.

The BS has finally ruined a lacrosse forum that was at one time actually a good forum for talking about games and the league and the results. Now this forum is just about hurling insults, degrading other programs etc. Don't you want MSJ, JC Severn etc all to do well so the league remains the top in the country. Some of the elitist would like this to be a 5 team league....yea that would be alot of fun. Nah, Every year it's the same thing. Moths to a flame. With visions of grandeur, parents send their kids to a lax mill like Loyola and Calvert Hall that carries 50 kids on their varsity roster. Parents ignore the other 50-60 on JV and Fresh soph because, "Sonny will make it." He doesn't. The kid gets buried on JV, and then quits or is cut by the time they are juniors. Oh well. The good news is the parents can always complain here. Oh good, John Carroll Dad is back for another year. JC is going to be the trendy place to transfer for all non athletic rich kids that can't play looking for opportunity. Has to be the coach, not my kid I'm going to leave and go to JC for opportunity. Going to be a collection of all the cancer families in one place with same results.

Anyone else think #18 on BL looked useless and unathletic in the game Friday? Isn't the kid going to UMD, thought he was supposed to be one of their top players but he looked lazy during the game, not sure what's going on there, maybe Maryland needs to rethink their decision with that guy.

Spalding played Springfield and they had a top commit going to UMD. Tillman get good players but this kid from Springfield was awful.
#18 looked like he didnt want to be on the field vs Spalding. I think hes hurt to be honest

I know this is a lacrosse page but I think this is worth noting. Calvert Hall baseball is terrible. How did they lose 3 times to Loyola??? I thought they were the best team in the state. They cant beat Loyola in anything this year! I doubt they even beat Loyola in lacrosse.

JC By 2- it’s the Miaa and always at least one shocker. Pats beat the Hall last time they came to Bel Air and this JC team seems more talented. JC coach plays to WIN and not keep game close playing zone down 4plus. Hall humbled after huge win Friday night.
BL by 7 MSJ Keeps it close but BL IQ and depth pull away 2nd half - 14-7 but not a a roll over win

MCD by 6 Spalding plays them tough but Mcdonogh comes out on fire after Friday night JC by 2? Don’t do drugs, kids. Hall by 12+ unless they decide to pull back. Playing to WIN hasn’t worked out for chunk too well…a depleted Severn doesn’t count. MSJ is the upset watch. BL hasn’t looked like the powerhouse everyone predicted. Gilman by 5. They won’t lose many faceoffs if any at all. Outside shooters win them the game. LB by 8 MCD by 6

Annapolis Lax Fan here!
Had the pleasure of attending the STM vs LB game. Dons sneak out a 9-6 over the saints. Some really high level lacrosse on display at pascal field this evening. Had my 2029 son at the game and he loved it! Thanks to both teams for an awesome experience.

Spalding 9 McD 8
Great game in OT
Spalding owned the 1st quarter MCD tied it up before half 5-5 Spalding went down early in the third only to battle back and take the lead in the fourth. 2 penalties called on Spalding with 130 left and of course the tying goal. Penalties my against MCD with less than 10 sec left gave the ball to Spalding to open OT. dense penalty by #2 The rest is history.
Oh welcome back to earth MSJ

Don’t compare these top teams to history. Evaluate them now McD no depth that can be trusted as based on coach’s substitution strategy in last two games. Average again at the stripe. More like most McD teams during Hilgy era.
