RPCS Head coach quit?
No way she “quit”. A bunch of entitled parents probably causing problems because their kids don’t get enough play time. Read between the lines.

Maybe they scored 21 vs GC but it seems like McDonogh scoring is down from last year. Do they miss TC on the offensive end?

Nope. McD new coach cancelled game. Why would GC give up a home game?

WCAC weaker coaches don’t want shot clock. It’s not an individual school decision. Better teams in WCAC voted for it but the weaker teams don’t want it because if they do get the ball they want more time.

Well...you must have a goalie on the field per rules so there is at least ONE reason.

You don’t need a goalie on the field. You can play with 8 defenders on that end if you wish !

You are correct. And they just need to keep 5 back behind restraining line defensively. But shhhhhh. Don’t tell them that. A lot of these parents think they know everything but don’t know this basic rule.

Sounds like they all left. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the GFS coaches come over and coach their daughter. The parents and kids at GFS have no respect for them when all they do is tear the girls down. This is the reason the team went from a top 6 team to a bottom 2 team.

You are WRONG - you have to have a goalie on the field of play. Doesn't matter which end but you MUST HAVE ONE ON THE FIELD...

Rule 3 of NFHS rulebook states. "Twelve players constitute a full team. Any number up to 12 players of each team may be on the field of play at the same time. One of the 12 players on each team may be a goalkeeper."
If you have another citation from NFHS or another source please post since not all leagues follow NFHS and have their own rules they apply.

Hey genius, it says "may be", not "must be"... thanks for proving our point.

My initial post stated the rule. "may be a goalie" means not required to have a goalie on the field. If you have another source that says "MUST HAVE ONE ON THE FIELD..." I am open to being corrected because "not all leagues follow NFHS and have their own rules they apply."
It is interesting that some replies to my post thought I took the position that a goalie must be on the field, which is not the case. I am simply stating the rule as it is written. I will leave it up to other posters to work through their comprehension issues and provide the rule to back up their opinions.

Lord knows why they would even become coaches for GFS... they don't even show up to practices for their own team the day before a game or THE DAY OF during warm-ups because they go watch their daughters play and claim they're "scouting." Ever heard of watching film? The only thing I've ever heard from watching Garrison play in games is the coach screaming his head off cursing girls out on the field. That may work with your Calvert Hall team, but not with a group of teenage girls. No wonder these girls are having a rough season... so unfortunate considering how many commits / how much talent there is on this team. Wouldn't be surprised to see these C2 coaches go coach at RPCS for playoffs...

Get away ? The player and grandmother can step up and tell the powers exactly what was said ! Right now the story starts with a jr attacker saying she heard it and everyone believes her. I’m sure if anyone had proof then there would be a big punishment. The St Paul’s coaches and parents are behind the lies. St. Paul’s is a low class place and you can play with 12 field players if you wish.

If everything happened the way St. Paul’s parents say it happened(which is always embellished 100% of the time every time they cry about losing), BR would not have a job right now. He’s still at Maryvale. He’s still coaching. SPSG parents need to find someone else to try to ruin.

It isn’t just that coach. The coach that came from another IAAM school is equally as bad, if not worse. She is constantly putting girls down. Not a good way to earn the respect of your players.

I have no skin In This fight but out of curiosity why are you so quick to call multiple girls liars for multiple issues that occurred because they attend a specific school while taking the word as gospel of a coach who has been already sanctioned by the iaam for anger issues and was also penalized from his previous coaching job for direct interactions with players, parents, and staff?

Why do you continue to lie about this coach and what happened at this game and others? No adult including any coach from either team and no official heard anything. And BR has not been reprimanded by the league for any “anger issues” and he was not penalized by his previous school for anything. What did you his guy ever do to you to lie like this?

But we should take the word of an anonymous poster? All hearsay if you ask me. But game footage speaks volume of the cheap off ball cross check by the goalie. Not once but twice with seconds left and down by 2 goals.

Ok, this sums it up! So confused by the unbiased backing and support FROM someone who can't even serve as a witness to what occurred FOR someone who has behaved like this for years which MANY can attest to.

I have no idea what happened at the game but I am aware of facts with regards to BR that you are choosing to ignore. He was thrown out of a game a few years ago and reprimanded by IAAM fro flipping out at the refs and yelling directly at an opposing player he then was suspended for his actions for the next game. I don’t remember any coach in the last 8 years in the IAAM getting suspended. As for his actions at GCS, there have been documented issues during his time there. Feel free to speak to any parent about why he wasn’t offered the head coaching or AD job. (Any parent of course that doesn’t care if their kid goes to Maryland of course). So again, if this is true(which it is) why is it hard to believe that he lashed out at girls again

ANY coach that gets. a red card is suspended for the next game. Should he have gotten a red card.. probably not but he is certainly not the first coach or the last coach in the IAAM to receive one.

There will be a Netflix documentary coming out about this saga. It’s hilarious. An entire school and their coaches and parents got together to conspire a she said he said story according to people who really don’t know for sure. Complete with wildly inaccurate generalizations and a side plot on whether or not you have to have a goalie - regardless of the fact that every team will have a goalie on the field. Personally I would believe it based on the coach involved but I know nothing for fact. So in the end none of this banter will amount to anything. Maybe move on from this one and start insulting each others kids and their school on another topic.
