Any thoughts on the AAA games? No huge surprises based on the matchups, but hard to know how much to take away from it because of kids missing from spring break and very wet, sloppy conditions. Team MD, Clippers, DC Express easily the top 3. Team MD put up some goals against FCA.

Alright...
HOCO week 1 predictions
Hawks 9 FCA 6 Crabs 11 91MD 4 DCE 10 NL 5
Somehow Madlax got their week 1 game postponed for like the 12th year in a row. Shame the Team Money kids have to wait weeks to play a game now.
Share your predictions here! Hawks did indeed win by 3 goals (6-3). No rain, maybe it stays a 9-6 game. Crabs won 12-1, besting this prediction DCE soiled the bed!

Team Maryland is known for sandbagging. they are potentially equal or better than 91, Team Money, and MadLax, and after Saturday, perhaps not too far behind DCE either

DCE should be especially embarrassed when you consider how bad Next Level is offensively. even with their usual face off domination this is a team that averages 5-7 goals per game but they hung 11 on DCE.

DCE parents have been crowing themselves since the fall.
DCE is terrible. The difference between the two teams is face offs and goaltending. If you flipped the players at those positions, DCE would have won by the same margin that they lost. At other positions the teams are about equal. Unfortunately, the two most important individual positions. Comical Sunday morning cereal session. DCE has played the Crabs, Next Level (4 times), Leading Edge, Red Hots, Nationals LC. This is the second game they’ve allowed more than 6 goals (RH and this NL game). I think they’ll be just fine on the defensive side. But yesterday was ugly for sure! I think NL won at least15 of the19 Faceoffs. Always a classy move to defend your kid and then blame the faceoff guys. He did? I think he defended the defense. Not a kid He did if his kid plays goalie or defense, yes. Doesn't seem like a monumental leap of inductive logic to get to the kid if he is part of that unit. Anyway, if it makes you happier, it's also not cool to defend your kid's unit and throw the FO unit under the bus in the same post.

Will still if the keyboard warrior dads are still piling on DCE and Madlax after they each pile up a few wins. Both squads could easily make the playoffs.

Ya’ll insufferable…double holdbacks, holdbacks, fly ins, drive ins, fake ig rankings, fogo dominance, goalie greatness, ML folding, NL overachieving, crabs loading up, hawks #1, FCA holier than though, no other clubs in the us matter, lol. next ty x will be seen patrolling Troy park this weekend. HS can’t come soon enough for this age, let the player play, cheer, go home. Rinse repeat.

Enough with the hold back whining. It didn’t make sense 2 years ago and now it totally doesn’t make sense with our boys less than 6 months away from competing with 17&18 year olds. Keep it together man.

I’m not a parent on the DCE team, but I’m very familiar with that team, we’ve seen them a bunch already. They don’t have a FOGO. They’ve been using long poles at FO. So I don’t think anyone would be all that surprised if they were overmatched at face offs in any game they play. That’s a real problem for that team.

Here we go again with the Holdback whining… high school can’t get here soon enough with this group of parents. You’ll get laughed off you soap box if you keep it up when your kid is in 9th grade you got that right. there are three kinds of players in elite middle school lacrosse - (1) holdbacks, (2) big, skilled, athletic on-age kids who don't blink playing against holdbacks, and (3) kids who were great in 5th and 6th grade, but haven't hit their growth spurt, whose Dads whine about holdbacks. Holdbacks A.K.A. Cheaters who couldn’t hang with players their own age. Yes, some holdbacks definitely fit that profile, but those are the ones that people get upset about.

Please let us know what AAA or AA team your undersized son plays for Actually sounds like a 91 parent. Only team he didn't denigrate. Hawks, FCA and Crabs SHOULD dominate....they are loaded with Holdbacks. Take their holdbacks out of the equation and top AAA teams would compete, let's be real. I don't believe 91 has that many. Holdback daddy on the sideline we see you...your forehead says 2027 dad. You just get put on the bench… He combs Instagram, searching for kids who are unsuspecting, he DM’s them directly promising stardom, and they take the bait. After 13 kids bolted for greener pastures, he raised Top Caliber, VLC, True Chesapeake, and a couple kids who got cut from NL and DCE. And the roster went from 6 after summer to 35. $$$$$$$$$ grab. Can’t entirely blame him for that, but his antics are unmatched.

Based on two different parents who stayed to watch the game, one of those kids you referenced had 7 goals and 1 or 2 assists. Que up negative comments and excuses about a kid in 3, 2, 1…lol.
