Igloo 3-0, no surprise. Easiest schedule. Played 2 B teams. doesn't the 1 seed usually get a easier bracket? but if you looked at all the brackets they actually had a tougher bracket than the 2 seed so not sure how your evaluating things and pretty much all the brackets had very similiar makeups

Rebels bring 2028’s with them to the WS! Rebels bring 2028’s with them to the WS! Isn’t this an age based tournament? So any 2028 who’s born after 9/1/2010 is eligible. Yes most teams have 28s. The Rebels team will also use those 2028's during non-age based tournaments. Watch and see....

Tough Draw? Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. Easiest draw at the tournament. Now the Rebels Moms and Coaches can brag on social media. Also, classy program posting a video of a player cursing in a team meeting after they qualified. Next year try using all Rebels players and not 91 Empire players to fill voids. Didn't play by the rules at 91, why would he play by the rules at Rebels.

The only teams that broke the rules this weekend were Red Hots (disqualified) and 91, as their starting attackman live in Virginia. Congrats to all the teams that qualified, a lot of hard work goes in from all parents coaches staff and players.

How many LI teams qualified? This tournament should be town based like the LLWS and it may actually help grow the sport. Each year 5/ teams qualify, and it is completely watered down. I could see 1 team representing LI and possibly 1 from upstate. But how teams lose 2 or 3 games in a qualifier and celebrate going to the World Series is a joke. A town tournament would generate more interest but not as much money, so it won't happen. Which teams from LI are in the World Series?

This wasn’t exactly a strong qualifier to begin with. Bc 5 teams from LI make it to the WS... It should be 1 max. Really should be 1 from all of NY. Get the 8 best teams from across the country and make it legitimate. Run it like the LLWS.

Yeh that doesn’t work because in baseball there are great teams in every state. In lacrosse there are hotbeds of lacrosse and many areas of the country that do not play high level lacrosse. The system they have now ensures the best teams that sign up make it to the W.S.

91 didn’t cheat. The tournament organizers provided permission for 91 to use a player that has been with its club for several years and aside from his talent is a great young man and teammate. It can be argued that if they were given an exemption to a specific eligibility rule, then other teams should have also received the same benefit or courtesy. Another argument can be made that several teams may not required an exemption and may have faced a tougher opponent and but for the exemption may have beaten 91.

But that’s the issue it has nothing to do with the player why did they(91) get an exemption and others didn’t I’m sure there are very similar situations across some teams . If you do it for one you must do it for all and if you don’t everyone has the right to be suspect of the process and rules. But let’s not kid ourselves we all know the organization played in the grey as well to make it happen. So the rules are not black and white or maybe just for some. Sad that the ruling board ruined it for a few and took away a few kids opportunity for an event but made an exemption for one because of the Orginization he played for or some other reason. Either way it is was it is . It’s just sad that not even youth sports can be fair and what some adults will do just to pound their chest and say look at how great we are!

I think this is just the exact problem with club lacrosse in general. Its the wild west as it relates to rules in general and rules enforcement and consistency and often makes these events and youth lacrosse in general look silly compared to other sports that do a much better job overall. That's a comment not specific to this age group or this tournament, but an overall one. Anyone with boys that have already been through the process end to end would probably acknowledge this reality.
The one comment that bothers me is about the individual. Its nice for the kid to be able to play with his long time teammates and congrats to him for being a good player and person, but that should have no bearing on the decision and application of this long standing and very well known 100 mile rule for this event. These types of decisions regardless of justification just diminish credibility and that happens so often that we get to the point that rules appear meaningless sadly. well, rant over.
Good luck to all this summer and I hope everyone's kids have fun and get better. That's more important than the adult led rule breaking non-sense anyway.

Great take but this has everything to do with his talent. If he was a great young man and teammate but a terrible player, exemptions would not be sought.

Hey 91 Coach or Parent - you used a player who is valuable to your team but otherwise not eligible to play whether prior or current address. Stay quiet and humble because your organization receives favors and rule bending not enjoyed by any others.
