What teams are attending the Spring Thaw and Next Level one day tournaments in March? Those are usually the warm up tournaments before HOCO.

King Crab knows what he is doing. Team will be top team and parents will be smiling as their sons get offers of D1

Red Hots National and Nationals LC are both attending Next Level LC.

Any 2029 Crabs players who get D1 offers aren't on the roster today.

King Crab will turn that roster over and replace these kids with out of towners who also board at BL.

interesting considering a lot of their top players are on HOCO teams attending this as well. I guess they move down the 100 player list.

Key word " Top Players", now have your son hit the wall.

If top player is on 2 or more teams, can parents be forced to wear a clown suit? Asking for a friend.

Only if the parent of the kid is on the 50-100 section of their rosters. Big red shoes and a big red nose please.

I’ll start, Hoco preseason predictions;
1)NL. Redemption year
2)True. Improved drastically
3)ML. Based on reputation
4)Hawks. Stayed the same
5)Predators. Surprise surprise
6)Legends. Lost talent
7)?
8)91. Same results

Any of those top 4 could take it this year. Lots of parity.

IS 7 FCA? I think there will be a lot of good games this year. I am not going to make a prediction.

Very interesting predictions...............I'll go with:
1) Hawks (Still the Champs...new coaching could take them to next level or miss daddy ball / relationships)
2) True (VLC merger brought them the most new talent of any team.....THANK VLC)
3) Next Level (Everyone stays healthy this year and they have a chance)
4) FCA (Just missed out last year. Will be in the mix)
5) Madlax (From what I have heard, they didn't improve. Same team.)
6) Legends / Crabs (Lost talent, missing best midfielder for spring)
7) Predators (Welcome to Elite!)
8) 91 (Ton of turnover and new faces. Not a lot of talent upgrade)

Did NL add new players? Lost to ML and split with Hawk.

1)NL - the new hotness. Everyone trying to latch on with a winner before DC express enters the picture
2)Hawks - Champs
3)ML - about to implode like all ML teams before 8th grade
4)FCA - sure why not
5)Legends - can’t be worse than the other three
6)Preds - who’d have thunk it
7)True - uh oh…can’t have holdbacks in HOCO. Different team than the tournament team

True will have the exact same team in HOCO than they had in fall tournaments. Someone's worried.....

Half the ML kids are already out the door, expect fly ins this summer. Back door deals have already started, if you haven’t heard anything yet. You probably won’t!

Who is doing the World Series this year?

ML is having all sorts of problems across multiple age groups....all the way down to the youngsters. 28 exodus of 11 players eclipsed the 24s and more movement is expected from the original squad. The ML 26 free fall is ongoing as they just lost their remaining best player to NL. This implosion has taken longer but is larger than the 24s as well. I'm hearing the ML 29 move will be the biggest move yet. #popcorn

Oh please, the skepticism is warranted, True Maryland is one of the only clubs in the DMV that has a well documented history of serial roster violations across multiple teams across multiple age groups. I've seen a goalie play multiple Hoco games in a day, at 2 age groups, on 2 True teams I've seen their teams thrown out of tournaments mid-day, and I was there to see one of their HoCo teams have 6 starters told by refs to leave the field due to failing a roster check. I Of course the True coaches were losing their minds, par for the course. You know, the "unfairness" and what not, and why are they being persecuted etc.

So forgive the other gentlemen if he is skeptical.

this is the 2029 board dude and any Elite team that has played in 2029 HOCO knows every single kid on that team. You must be a pred dad.

And what is the problem with ML29s that there will be a mass exodus?? Always thought it was a well coached and tight group. What's changed @popcorndouche?

No one from DMV, we hide behind the HOCO league as a reason we can’t play but reality is too many egos would be hurt if we played on age for once and lost to the teams up North. Sad but true.

Sorry Preds are on the move this year. Have some talent. Dont count them out. Reason there is so much talk about them

Nothings changed, the writing has been on the wall. Once they combine to NL or go to DC express, everyone will be put on notice. It’s just a matter of who they combine with, NL is working hard on it having the kids on the Mojo team.

Preds will need to rise quite a bit to even win a game this year. Moving to Elite is difficult. Kudos to them for trying it out:

The problem here is if you get boat raced in every game during the season what does the really do to develop players? Kids learn by being in close games and learning from those win or lose. Getting crushed or crushing another team does nothing for development.

Congrats to Preds for moving up and getting after it. Nothing is guaranteed as we enter this age and above teams will struggle and change. The difference between Preds and 91 is that preds won their league last year and want to move to (much) better competition while 91 has always struggled and refuses to see how they compete at the AAA. I am not saying Preds will do well just applauding the chance to TRY the next level.

Question - If 91 dropped to AAA how would they stand?

Inferiority? Not at all, quite the opposite. The only way your teams can compete with us is by playing holdbacks. So you guys cheat and refuse to show up for a tournament that is on age. You’re sad.

Speaking of 91, McCabe Millon is crushing it at UVA. The best 20 yr old freshman in college right now!

Speaking of Millon. Why is it that no stats sites post players DOB? I know it's not a big deal in college. Why is it so hidden? Embaressment? Asking foe a friend.

This age froup now has age limitations (thankfully). So why does the World Series matter to anyone at this point? All events should fall under the same age guidelines, no?
