Fly ins? What are you talking about? The Crabs cut 5 kids and replaced them with Baltimore kids. If you don't think Crabs will be flying in kids for tourneys the next two year, then I have a bridge to sell you. I have no idea if they will or not but I can guarantee you that at least 95% of the players on the team will be ecstatic about it if the fly-ins are good. Most kids like winning. It’s the parents who get bent out of shape.

It’s just not that black and white. Coaches don’t bench other kids for a fly-in. There is typically just more subbing. Most kids are ok with that if it means winning. If they are not, then by all means, they should look to play elsewhere.

If they are not, then by all means, they should look to play elsewhere. Actually it is completely black and white, and it depends on the position that the fly in plays. if a team like MadLax flies in a super student lefty attackman from Texas who scores 4-5 goals per game, of course the goalies, fogo's, and d-poles and all the other kids whose playing time is not affected (and their parents) will be ecstatic, and fawn over the new kid, and pat themselves on the back for being so welcoming and inclusive. but the player who normally plays the position and came to all the practices, tryouts, winter workouts, etc. will be on the bench and will be miserable and his parents will be pissed. who wants to compete for a position, and earn it, and then wonder week to week if someone will be flown in from wherever to play ahead of you.

Move on from Madlax, Next Level Mom. It’s really sad. I doubt that the criticism of MadLax are coming from NLM. the daddy coach and his player(s) have turned off a lot more people than just her. plus, NLM's son has become a dominant player on his new team and they always beat MadLax, so I doubt they are still in her head as much as you like to think.

Move on from Madlax, Next Level Mom. It’s really sad. Apparently the Madlax players have taken your advice, and are MOVING ON. Just starting, and about to snowball. Just as it did with 2026 and 2028. “Attention all VLC, Top Caliber, and True Chesapeake kids, We Want You!” And when that trickle comes to a halt, it’s the “Calling All Supreme Players” from TX and FL who have no idea what they’re getting into…. 💣

To summarize:
The JC Coach was let go in June. Parents complained. AD hangs up on parent meeting. JC President and admin gets roasted. President pledges to support the program. School hires Gunnar Waldt. Parents and kids appeased. Recruits supposedly lining up. BOTC naysayers do their thing.
You're now up to speed.

I am guessing the "daddy coach" is taking them to DCE Doubtful. Daddy’s don’t get to coach at DCE. Not allowed. But Madlax is indeed making some key players.

I'm surprised the good players on that team did not leave for NL or DCE a long time ago and leave a certain element behind. but it's odd that the players are moving now. weren't tryouts in august?

In fact 91 has never beaten FCA or Next Level. Futhermore 91 has never beaten a team that doesn't flip flop between HoCo AAA and Elite. So no, this doesn't look right and I'm sure fall ball will bear this out.

Next Level isn't "real" MD. It's Bethesda/DC.
It's just like Redskins/Commanders. They are located in MD. But no one really considers them a Maryland team.

Agree that 91 was at the bottom of that list after HOCO, but 91 had a pretty good (not great) summer and seems to be on the rise. While still not at the Crabs and Hawks level, they should be able to handle FCA easily and maybe NL as well.

What'd they add to put them above those 2 teams?

Team 91 might have 3 players who’d get significant playing time at NL.

They added a couple middies. They might be reclasses, but they’re physical and looked like a different team than what they had at Hoco.
I’m not arguing that 91 is a top 10 team, but just saying they looked better this summer. Maybe FCA has improved (I don’t know), but I think Next Level peaked during Hoco. They had a disappointing summer and seem to be having a hard time scoring goals.

They played very well all summer until the last day of the summer season.

This summer, 91 only added one attackman. The rest were all on the team in HoCo But that attackmen is a good QB and took a lot of heat off that lefty middie.
