For reference, here is a list of commitments by club to top 25 clubs based on final rankings.
YJ 14 M&D 11 Capital 10 Monster 9 CT Grizzlies 9 Ultimate PA 8 Salt City Snipers 8 Mass Elite 7 Steps NJ 7 Big 4 HHH 7 Team 180 7 Phantastix 6 LI TopGuns 6 Steps CA 5 PrimeTime 5 SkyWalkers 5 Lakeshore 5 Laxachusetts 5 Team One 4 3D 4
Outside the top 5 or 6 clubs, it is pretty rare for a club to have more than a handful of girls sign to big time programs.

Outside the top 5 or 6 clubs, it is pretty rare for a club to have more than a handful of girls sign to big time programs. Need to remember that lots of girls on this list aren't receiving a dime of academic $$. I know for a fact many of those Capital and Grizzlies girls on top 25 teams are pretty much roster fillers. Lots of LI girls don't have the option to go to a top 25 school and pay full tuition. This is why CT and DC/MD schools will always do better on this list.

If you can get your income down to about 120k, you will get about 60% at an Ivy or top 20 school with big endowment. I know of a few girls who turned down a decent athletic scholarship because they got way more going need based. You will also be a more desirable recruit because they can give the money to someone else. If you have more than one child in college at the same time, you will do even better. Keep in mind that financial aid looks back two years

Best players according to their parents, reality FLG best offensive players stayed. Isn’t it ironic. FLG will remain a top 10 team nationally. Ownership is committed to the program and the team. Those who left have already been replaced by equal or better players. This poster is obviously disconnected from reality. How can you remain Top 10 nationally if you aren’t even in the Top 10? Using US Lacrosse rankings, lets look at the facts: FLG is #13.(they dropped in case you missed that..even after all the hype around how great they were) How did FLG do against the Top 10 who they, according to this poster, should be a part of? They went 2-6. meh. How did they do against the other teams they played this year? 7-5 against non top 10 teams. More meh, or rather blah for a top 10 wannabe. Who did they get their wins against in this non top 10 group? #19, #27, #33, #37, #44, #92, #107. They were beaten by the #14, #16, #20, #21(twice) teams. So they show up against some weaker teams, get wins against weaker teams…. Now FLG lost several starters and their goalie…be happy being a top 20 team(if you can stay there) and stop spouting nonsense.

Lots of loop holes closed and more middle class will be paying a lot more. Loss for middle class and a win for the really need based kids.

It’s all a money grab - if you have nothing better to do than to travel to all of these pay for play events after the 4/5 travel tourneys, go for it….. college coaches earn an off-season living off the pay they get to attend these events.

Best in class, LILJ games, Excelsior, under armor, and so on, all formed to keep college coaches busy and paid during the off season. Kids get to advertise that they are playing in it, maybe the only worthwhile part of it.

Went to a few this summer because I felt we had to go to be seen. I have to say, never again. Was my daughter seen? Idk. We get emails saying they saw her. I feel maybe they are reaching out because they have her info on a list of attendees and not because they saw her. I am at a point that everything is a money grab. We are now focusing on specific prospect days at colleges and those cost money. And honestly, lots of those are money grabs as well. As someone mentioned, if you have the time and money, you can go to unlimited showcases, camps, clinics and prospect days. I can’t wait u til this is over lol. I told my husband I wish we never started pal and who knew it would lead to this insanity. And it is insanity.

Is it worth going to for a 27? Like others have said, all of these are money grabs. However my 24 went to several of them including BIC, players open, etc. this was the best of the bunch in terms of recruiting and I know that the school she committed to saw her at this event. At this point, the biggest value of the event is that if daughter plays well, it will get her an invite during her recruiting summer.

The only reason to do any of these as a freshman is for fun. College coaches are not looking at these girls.

Not that poster but my daughter is a 25 and we didn’t start anything until this year. Anything before is a complete waste. I see thr 26-27 at these things and it’s insane….that thr parents waste the time and money and to thr coaches that promote it. Everything is split up once you get there by age. So the 26-27 aren’t even looked at because the coaches can completely avoid going to those fields. I’d you want experience of what to expect…go for it…once. At one that is close by so you don’t need to stay in a hotel and waste more money. Ans I say this as my child is a 2025 in the recruiting period. She isn’t going. Too 20 so maybe that matters…I don’t think so because we have friends whose kids are. And as others mentioned they know who they want already just by team, tournaments etc. just have your child be thr one emailing schools when it’s time, highlight video, etc. we are headed into the most important tournament season…fall of junior year president’s cup. Coaches will be there watching so we know this is super important. I will say, we know girls that didn’t commit to top schools until may of junior year….top 10 schools. There is no rhyme or reason to any or this. Sorry this sounds fool…the whole process is.

Good info however can you clarify…did Your 24 go as a junior, or sophmore or did you mean she went as a freshman? The original comment said their daughter is a 27 which would mean a freshman. 24 Daughter went last summer as a rising junior

Sorry this sounds fool…the whole process is. detest to break it to you, but if you are targeting the top 2/3s of division 1, the summer was the most important tourney season. 90% of all spots at top 50 schools will be filled by November. They may add a girl or two as a preferred walk on, but their recruiting will likely be done by early November. At Presidents Cups, LFTC, Chespeake Invite, most top college coaches will be focused on 26s.

Daughter got invited to Best in Class event in Delaware in June. Have 72 hours to decide.

Yup and if she turns it down, she won't get invited back next year

And if you reread what I posted, not looking at a top 10 school. It’s parents like you that cause the panic and promote the lies and nonsense.
