Lots of talent spread out this tryout season, choosing playing time over sitting the bench on an AA team. You still have a handful of players on the top AA teams that will not see the field, but parents have AA team envy and choose that situation for their kid. Most teams will go to equal playing time by Fall 2024 when recruiting starts. Even if you aren't playing much this year, getting on a high visibility club this year could be the right move. Which clubs are the high visibility clubs? And which clubd are not? More important than high visibility tournaments, pick the schools of interest, let your recruiting director know early and go to prospect days.

One Tradition coach joining the Jesters staff with a few of their best players. Should be an entertaining season. Top Guns team to beat this year Wonder how existing Jesters families feel about a new coach with players coming in ? thank them for the early life lesson?

I’m new to TG and don’t really come on here much. I’m reading these posts about the coach. My daughter can handle yelling but killing confidence is different. Does he really belittle the girls?

No, pot stirrer whose daughter was cut and likes to exaggerate. If your daughter works hard and is coachable, she will do great. Pretty much like anywhere else. My daughter has been with TG for over five years. AS is her coach. He truly cares about the girls, and pretty much every girl on my daughters team is going to play in college at a great school. Keep in mind that there are unhappy people on all teams. Good luck!

Sometimes West coast, south or midwest clubs may have a few more towards the top and a few more who don't play at all since their rosters tend to be more top-heavy. CT clubs may do a little better since they often have mostly girls who aren't looking for any $$ at all. B teams like YJB, Heros White, M&D Red may not have any top 25 girls, but will have lots of second-tier lacrosse schools.

Picked up FLG’s best players also. Going to be a difficult squad to coach. Parents counting the minutes of playing time on the sideline for sure. FLG’s best players remained with FLG. Simply not true. Lost top offensive and defensive weapons. Hopefully new coaching staff can turn things around for this group so they can remain competitive. We need more good teams on LI, not less.

Ummm. Ever think it was their choice to go to those “lower tier” schools for one reason or another? I can’t stand when people belittle college choices.

2-3 girls going to top 25 programs 5-7 girls going to next level 20-60 programs 2-3 girls going to low D1 programs (think MAC, Big South, Northeast) 3-4 girls going to NESCAC or high-quality D3 The rest going to D2 or lower level D3
Look at teams final rankings and it's pretty consistent.
Just curious by your calculations/judgement on team ranking what would you expect generally speaking if team is in the 7-15 range? There is usually a pretty big gap between 7 and 15 in terms of recruiting. 7 are usually loaded across the entire roster while teams around 15 can be top heavy with a few stars or have talent more spread out with lots of depth. That said, here is my take for an east coast team ranked in the middle of that range. 4-6 girls going to top 25 programs or Ivies 6-10 girls going to next level 25-60 programs The rest of roster going to high D3 or low non-scholarship D1 Even the top teams only have 6-9 girls going to big time program. Great example is YJ Spallina, one of the best club teams in the past 5 years. They will still have some starters who don't go top 25.

Best players according to their parents, reality FLG best offensive players stayed. Isn’t it ironic.

. We need more good teams on LI, not less. We need more good LI teams, not FEWER. And apparently we need more good English teachers as well.
