Any word on the CT / Westchester teams?
2 Way- always solid and should get better as we get closer to HS as this team feeds Brunswick. Express North- Have to imagine that being World Series Champs helped them at tryouts / made it hard for their best players to leave. Eclipse- Always good but seemed to fall off a bit towards the end of the year. Primetime- Definitely got better towards the end of the year. Preds- Only know they have a bunch of reclass kids and still didn't do very well. Preds had reclasses last year? Yikes.

Apparently there are a bunch of New Canaan 27’s reclassing this year (heard 8 of them but that feels like a stretch). I’m sure 2Way and Express North will be good as well. Not sure on the others. PT seems to have fallen but who knows.

Not sure what this stems from as I didn't see a negative post about Surge, but second the coaching statement. If the Hills Varsity coach stays involved they will get better. He is an excellent coach, knows the games and knows how to teach it to the players. The culture is improving, has been suspect at times, but is better after a few left the team. They can really make a push this season and will hurdle Igloo, Rebels and Legacy. They will have a tough go with S2S as they improved drastically. Def a team to watch, def a place you want your child.

One of the Surge coaches does a great job trying to poach kids from other programs. Shows up at other clubs' tryouts, friend request these kids on Instagram. His name is Mud in the area from other clubs

It's sad that these parents want to be on an AA team but their kid doesn't play much. So instead of going to a team like Frost or Surge or Dune Dawgs or somewhere where they'll play a ton and be one of the best kids on the team, they choose to stay and not play. They think they're above a second team of an organization but what they're doing is a disservice to their son. Maybe these parents enjoy watching other kids play instead of their own.

This is not interesting or insightful. Maybe take it up with them in person.

[quote=Anonymous]Good try SM, “nightmare Rebels Mom” who fights with every opposing team and ref- how’s that B team working out for your son?!! For people to be this unhinged around a summer travel season for their kid is pretty much everything that is wrong with this whole system / process. Teamwork and sportsmanship have been tossed aside for the ME FIRST crew and if you’re not on board, you are an impediment that is easily cast aside to be talked about in their catty circles. You must be so proud.

For what it’s worth the mom in question is way out of control and an embarrassment to us normal Rebels parents
