Anyone know what happened to YJ Mills? Tryouts are tmrw but top players already left? Ashame bc that team was on a roll beating teams like tradition and tieing Friedman. Hopefully they can get a few key pieces this week They never tied Friedman that’s a lie. I’d assume the parents are jumping off a sinking ship after losing to Duswalt , which puts Mills as the YJ C team Correct. Mills lost to Friedman in overtime of a 20 minute playoff game. Mills was up 4-0 against Friedman in that game but blew it.

jesters blue is completely new for 2029 and has a lot of new players going in the roster so there is no rank to compare them to from last year. it will be interesting to see how they do with so many changes within 2029 jesters this year.

Just as an FYI buddy and every other know it all on this thread at queen of the island this spring -YJMills conceded the draw against Top Guns which allowed 91 to win the bs queen of the island tournament bc they ran up the score without drawing or passing.

Dont think was head coaching fault Are you calling a 20 minute playoff game that ending in a win a tie because it was a Braveheart ending? That's a stretch.

They're probably just going to YJA in Suffolk. No?

YJ Nassau was sold to the parents as a separate program from Suffolk where both teams would be considered top (A). It became obvious that Nassau was being treated as a feeder (B) team as Nassau girls were allowed to and encouraged to move over to the Suffolk team. It is a shame since Nassau team just needed more depth on the team to be able to be competitive.

Is it true Duswalt it’s being pushed out by the parents? Heard they were unhappy with the player development and lack of offensive (can’t just run iso plays). Also, 3 parent coaches from the same town can’t be good enough.

Some girls on the team that were strong players left and then one of the coaches (HOWLEY) went to the jesters tryout and that caused other girls to go to other tryouts..and accept spots on other club teams. At the tryout not a lot of girls showed up.. YJ then emailed the girls on the team already telling them which Suffolk team they were being offered a spot on...

YJ folded the Nassau team. Girls either left the organization or went to the A or B team of Suffolk. Hopefully those teams are not overly stacked, CR wont turn down the money but I bet their will be more unhappy parents at the end of season when kids don’t get their fair share of playing time.
The club scene is wild.

Some of the “strong” girls were told that they had a spot on the Suffolk A team a week before YJ tryouts. This happened despite the message that the team was staying together. This caused some others on the team to tryout for other clubs as the end of YJ Nassau was evident.

Lacrosse on Long Island is reality TV material! A Hard Knocks type show based on LI Lax would be incredible TV. The Real Laxmoms of Suffolk County. None of the drama would be on the field. In our first episode, 4 Suffolk lax moms start planning the team tent for the first tourney, when Brittanie, the new lax mom from (gasp) Port Washington want to help out and "do things a bit classier". Needless to say, her ideas are not well received.

So much drama, especially around recruiting and play time. I sometimes sit back and reflect on the insanity, but lots of good times too. Great friends turned to enemies. Sad.

Team 91 representing as the top NY team by entering 7 summer tournaments. Can they repeat the success they had this past summer? You had no choice. With Tradition and Mills folding, you lose two Long Island teams ranked 90+ that you normally beat in the fall and carry your rankings throughout the whole season while you dodge competition. Now Queen of Long Island HURTS your ranking rather than helps it.

Those two teams we beat at the spring Queen of the Island and they finished the season ranked 17 and 21. And speaking of "dodging competition" we played Heros the #1 team along with other top 10 teams. We dropped Queen of the Island, The Grind, and LI Lax Fest to give the girls the best chance to face the top teams this summer and into the future.

We're saying the same thing, fall or spring doesn't make a difference. You've eliminated tournaments that hurt/will hurt your ranking. That's math, not ambition. Sitting out of Queen of Long Island doesn't make you a better NY competitor, it makes you a competition dodger.

Easy mistake. How many girls from Roar are on that roster? That's the team that was assembled to play against low ranking teams so it wouldn't affect the 29 team's rankings, right? Team 91 representing as the top NY team by entering 7 summer tournaments. Can they repeat the success they had this past summer? (and we played everyone) Fact check: Please refer to 11/5/2022 vs. Monster Elite, a New York team in which you lost 6-8. You were 0-1 against this New York team this season. You had the opportunity to face them again this season in tournaments such as Lax for the Cure (Summer) on 6/17, however, you opted to stay on Long Island and play in unranked games at "Li Lax Fest". This is not the only example of this. Monster was also at the G8 while you were on Long Island playing in another tournament that attracted ZERO A level completion (The Grind).

Team 91 representing as the top NY team by entering 7 summer tournaments. Can they repeat the success they had this past summer? Which tournaments? Zero chance that they're going to tell you this. 1/2 of 91's game is skillfully avoiding the competition that wants to play them. MD United has to be itching to find whatever tournaments they're playing in. To be ranked higher than a MD team while managing to dodge them all summer...

Our schedule has always been listed on our website. We have had to go to other tournaments since we were waitlisted to go the tournaments “everyone” else is going to. Not the case anymore.

How did the next week go against Next Level? We lost to the at Mid-Atlantic. They were the better team that day. No shame in losing to the the number 10 ranked team as one of our 4 losses for the year. Even Hero’s didn’t go undefeated this year.
