Enough to make a 3rd team? With some teams seemingly blowing up in the market, maybe.

That seems unlikely. Having that many qualified coaches is a stretch for any club.

The coach FCA announced for the 2027 white team is the former head coach of TL Baltimore Black. Safe bet that the white team will be just as bad as the TL Baltimore Black team.

The FCA White Coach is the former True Baltimore Black Coach along with the Daddy Ball sidekick. Not sure what qualifications he has to coach. I’m pretty sure he’s just there to make sure his son gets a spot on the team because otherwise he wouldn’t be playing anywhere. If possible I would expect this FCA White team to perform worse than True Baltimore Black.

His qualifications include carrying the ball bag and his sons equipment bag, informing the team what time to be at the field and then showing up 20 minutes later, jabber-jawing with other coaches and parents and then at game time tries to run the box, but ends up sending a pole who was serving a penalty back on the field when the penalty expired only to immediately go back on man down because there were too many poles on the field.

You obviously have some personal issues with the team and hopefully you shared them with the people involved and aren't just venting on an anonymous board. That being said, I'm surprised so many kids came out to tryouts and they are even thinking about a third team. This team has not been historically strong.

There is no 3rd team, never was. True as an option in Maryland is folding rapidly so the True Baltimore coach asked if they could just move to FCA which FCA apparently obliged. FCA Blue tryout would have drawn 50-60 kids so add in all the kids associated with True Baltimore and that easily covers the 90-100 who reportedly showed up. The White team will be better than True Baltimore Black as they'll get a fair number of the kids cut from 91/Crabs/FCA Blue.

True Baltimore 2027's were leaving in droves because of the coaching. That team was/is going to look dramatically different. Seriously doubt that bottom feeders from 91/Crabs/FCA Blue are going to be impactful without better coaching than they have now from the old True squad.

Hawks 2027 cut some long time kids... know who they didn't cut? The daddy's kids. Absolutely shame that these b-league kids keep their jobs because their dads are fake assistants. Hawks aren't what they used to be. This team was one of the best in the country for 3rd- 6th grade... but the dads and the kid HC just ruined it. They aren't even a Top20 team anymore. Key pieces left or went to the 2028 team(one of the best if not the best in the USA.). Sad to see such a great team and organization fall off so fast. The pieces they picked up are def TBD.

before you annoint the 2028 Hawks the GOAT of lacrosse teams, don't forget they were knocked out of Naptown by a rag tag team called the Hit Squad, which was thrown together for just that event.

if you want to slam parent coaches, don't forget Madlax 2027. The player is (to put it nicely) a step behind the rest of the starters, and the nepotism caused a lot of good players to leave the team, not to mention other issues brought about by a certain player.

Daddy coaches are a problem on many teams. Hawks are definitely not what they used to be but they are still better than the other clubs around them. Looking at the rankings, NL is above them and they've never lost to that team. They also beat Crabs the last time they played. Yes they cut kids but what did you expect? They're getting ready to go into high school. All teams make cuts around this time.

You sound bitter. I'm sorry your kid isn't on the team. They won the last tournament they were in and they looked great doing it.

the revolving door continues - bottom feeders is not a particularly nice word but the bottom third of the roster on all of those teams are relatively interchangable

Seems like the Baltimore and DC teams had just minor changes. Crabs had a lot of cuts so likely going more national to solidify the top spot in the region. Annapolis teams had bigger changes with True Chesapeake disbanding. I would expect the DMV rankings to be very similar next year with the biggest change being Prostart.

Crabs
Next Level | Hawks
MadLax
91 | FCA Blue
Team Maryland
Prostart
Zingos | DCE
Clippers
FCA White
everyone else

There are a lot of really good 2027 goalies. True Chesapeake goalies also on the move.

WAS he good though? Not sure which one was the starter, but there were half dozen other goalies at tryouts, any one of which could have been an upgrade what they had.

Eh, their top is the lower floor. I do imagine Crabs is a better team to get recruited from given 91's record.

He can shoot with his hands free. Doesn't create. Can't QB. Turns it over with selfish shots.
Crabs got a new lefty extra-man shooter.

There may be a 2027 True Chesapeake team for the 2023-2024 season but it will not include any of the players from the 2022-2023 season.

How is it possible FCA fielded 2 teams? Their team this year was only marginal compared to the area teams.
