My predictions for tristar
Black Tough draw for Legacy 1 Venom 2 Eclipse 3 Express 4 Legacy
Blue 1 2way 2 3D NE BTB BBL Shore
Orange 1 3D GA 2 Sweetlax S2S Cavalry
Red 1) BBL 2 Crabs 4Leaf Laxachussetts Black Primetime Predators
White 1) express North (should get #1 seed going into Sunday) Rush Laxachussetts Yellow BBL North
Top 8 Express North Venom 2Way BBL 3D GA 3D NE Eclipse Sweetlax
Others that might make it Express 4Leaf Crabs Laxachussetts Black (schedule) Express north probably is the #1 seed but only because of their bracket. I don’t think they are a top 7 team in this tournament. My rankings: 2 way BBL Black Venom 3d NE Eclipse 3d Georgia LI express Express north

The fact that North played zone at NAL this past weekend is embarrassing. Putting wins in a 7th grade tourney over the kids development is sad. If i were a defender on that team i’d be looking for a new team.
It would be one thing if they were overmatched on D. Thats not the case - they actually have big and talented poles.

The USCL rankings have become a joke. They should have separate rankings for these national teams. Team Eighteen is ranked #3 and has played 2 games in 2023 and lost both of them. There are numerous examples of this. The teams that play often and play tough competition get shafted. When were they not a joke? There is a post on their webpage defending why a 1 win team is in the top ten for 2029. It’s nonsense. (Except when 91 is #1 of course then they are not problematic at all). /s Rankings are the same algorithm as the NCAA uses. Strength of schedule matters. I have no idea who team 18 is but they lost by 1 and 3 to the #4 and 7 teams in the country respectively so those losses are not enough to move the needle that much based on their 6-2 record prior to those two losses. Not sure why people are whining about the math. If Team 18 is bad it will all even out by the end of the season. Team 18 is on pace to play 4 games in 2023 and go 0-4. As long as it’s against good teams they’ll stay as the #3 team in the country. What a joke. Still taking math over daddys opinions. The ranking system for USCL / NCAA may be flawed but instead of complaining about it on a forum, come up with your own mathematical system. Again no horse in this race but opinions matter as much as those who say the Jets are going to win the super bowl this year.

Are players starting to look elsewhere?

Please don’t mention express and 91 in the same post. Express has won nothing. Venom wins everything. It’s not even a rivalry. 91 is undefeated vs Chucks. It’s kind of embarrassing even with the 40 kids on Chuck’s sideline. Um, care to revise your statement

Only reinforces the fact that some teams are not as great as people think and some are not that bad. They are 12/13 year olds. Venom still very good and teams like Rush can compete on any day. This age group is very talented and that makes it fun each weekend.

So basically it comes down to this.
1. Venom 2. Express 3. (in not particular order) Rebels, S2S, BTB, Rush, Legacy (all games btw them been close - No dominant one out of the group).
Going into tryouts if you kid is not playing on their given team find a team in tier 3 with a solid coach, core and low roster. Make sure there is spot opening to take and that the team doesn't cater to one or two particular towns. If you son isn't getting minutes in the tournaments they won't get better. Don't fall for sales pitches - I know a few kids who left starting roles on one team to sit the bench on another.
Too many of the clubs are money grabs - Make sure you ask the right questions!

express Chucks and Express North VERY impressive this weekend. Venom did not impress, but maybe a slight bump in the road. Eclipse was tough, almost lost to Legacy Saturday, maybe they didn't take them seriously as Legacy was 0-2 heading into that game. Legacy did not impress. Son used to play for them, and they are good in spurts, but no consistency. No FOGO hurts, too.

Legacy’s lack of a FOGO is hurting them as you can’t beat the best teams without possession. S2S, despite the nonsense posted one here, is a good team with a couple of really talented players. No clue what to say about the express north team. Was it the world series team or the holdback team?

Learn from last year. Clubs like legacy had tryouts but already knew who they were taking before tryouts. Done deal🤝Save your time and money. They are imploding. Remember it’s who daddy knows with most clubs. So many phone calls are made by dads behind the scenes you would be AMAZED. The average kids with no pull are going to be overlooked unfortunately.
Usually not many spots open for venom but if they continue to struggle there will be movement there. They aren’t afraid to cut. The want to be on top is stronger with that club than most.
Roll the dice with express. They will take your money and your kid will be one of many.
The third tier teams, as someone mentioned above, could use 2-3 kids to get them over the hump. As long as throes teams keep there core of course.
Wrinkle to it all….After the dreams of WS are put to rest maybe this age group changes even more than expected

I always say, its better to be on a decent team where you're going to get a ton of playing time and be the man, verses being on a top team and getting limited time. That's how you get better, not by standing on the sideline with 20 other kids

That is a good barometer to see what role he plays and what the coaches think of him.
