Can’t wait to see the reaction when WS instagram posts venom as #1 rank I don't expect a big response. LI wins it every year. Venom is the best team in LI this year. They deserve to be #1 until a non-LI team wins this thing. Based on recent results this could be the year . . . but I wouldn't bet against 91 putting it all together. Defense wins championships Venom is the best team in the tourney as shown at qualifier but 6-7 other teams can beat them including Express. They are gonna need their D, goalies, fogo to step up So venom loses for the first time to Express in years - and now there are 6-7 teams including Express who can beat them. Ok, go to sleep thinking that. Cannot wait until Venom embarrasses all.

Express got no chance vs 91. Troll CMON - According to inside information (my 7th grader who has friends on the team) Venom was missing a bunch of key players at Tri Star. Let's be real - Most of the Express Chucks will get replaced in 9th grade once you got the kids from Chaminade being recruited.

I am sure this comment will bother many and the responses will be interesting. The level of Lacrosse played this weekend in Farmingdale was impressive. All 4 teams in the higher of the 2 brackets should walk away with their heads held high. Championship game was a great game and we were tested until the end. Calvary, Rebels, Surge and Rush all have some very good lacrosse players. Depth is not at the level of the AA teams but we proved we can play with anyone when we are firing on all cylinders. It is clear that Express and Venom are the top 2 teams on LI. It is also clear that 4 or 5 others can hang and are not that far off. No need for angry responses . The 2028 age group is very deep and impressive. As far as movement and players leaving and going to new teams is concerned.... be mindful and do what is best for your kid and family. At these ages playing time is more important than anything. That along with has your son developed with this team. Our success stems from great coaching and consistency. If your kid is not on man up or man down then you may look to explore other options. That is usually a good barometer at this age to gauge if the team is a good fit for your kid. Like someone once said "the grass is not greener on the other side, it is greener where you water it". Best of luck to the World Series teams going down to NC.

These are 7th grade lacrosse players - this age group is not deeper or more impressive than last year’s or next year’s 7th graders. There will be tremendous physical changes in the next 2 years, then this will level off. At that point, it becomes all about the player, not the team. Colleges are taking way more transfers that compete and add value immediately, unlike freshman out of HS. You say there’s not much drop off betw LI teams then you say if your kid isn’t one of 6 or 5 on special teams, be concerned. The only thing to be concerned with is if they are developing as team players (do they make the extra pass, or just try to barrel through defenders?) and not overreacting to your ridiculous expectations.

Find the club that your kid enjoys the culture. That includes players and coaches. Has your son improved and been on the field ? Every club is a business and there is no perfect club team. Do what is best for your family. Some clubs are too expensive, some have 30 man rosters, some play too much or not often enough. Find a coach and a group that fits your needs and stay with it. Playing time is important and your kid just needs to be in the mix and getting a decent amount of run. Club hopping does not work out for most. Some may have to leave to find a better fit but more often than not there are issues again and again. Relationships matter more than anything bc at the end of the day its just a game and the kids should be playing with and for people they enjoy being around. Not a wrinkled T Shirt or an Instagram post will mean more than quality time spent and relationships built. Utilize club lacrosse as a toll to help your son grow on and off the field. At this age the teams that have been consistent and stuck together are the ones who are better off. Certain clubs stick together and get better together (Rush). They may not win every time but the core stays together and they compete grow and seem to enjoy eachother along the way.

What is good about being on a team and wearing logos if you don’t contribute? I know at least 4-5 kids on the 3 LI teams going to NC for WS games that either won’t touch the field or if so only for a few mins total all weekend. What benefit is that? Terrible decision to stay on team if you don’t play!!! It will catch up at the end of the day.

100% Spot on. These “memories for a lifetime” folks need to see the big picture. Watching the Coach’s kids and friends of theirs, from the sideline, will not benefit your WS participant at all when it matters in HS. Enjoy watching these games while you wonder if your 3rd line middy will get in for mop up time.

Hence why you see teams like true blue get stronger as teams get older bc parents eventually wake up.

Hear it here first. An on-age tournament on LI like TriStar would blow this WSL [Censored] out of the water. The number of winless teams (including Legacy) is a comedy. Just stack a Northeast tournament with on-age kids and save me that once in a lifetime nonsense. This was a royal pain in the keester. Delaware in March, NC in July. Save us the money and make it at one of the 25 colleges on LI or CT. PFSNkV
