BLC announced a new coach for the 2030 team on their Instagram - the current head coach of Gtown Prep. Pretty impressive for a team that’s apparently imploding. Haha Looks like someone will be moving to another club. Well Played BLC! Well Played!!! Mic drop. You get G Prep head coach to coach your 6th grader’s youth team? He will clean Dave Mitchell’s plate… would have to think BLC keeps a lot of kids considering the move, and will likely pick off a bunch of Madlax kids too. Mater Dei pipeline into Prep…

This is now beyond comical and turning into an absolute gong show. Our kids deserve an equal and fair chance. Wouldn’t surprise me if there were some secret tryouts or roster already made

I wouldn’t be surprised if they will have bounce houses and free ice cream for the children.

The BLC 2030s have been great because of their coaching staff. That staff will bring all their best players to NL and scoop the two good poles and lefty attackman and become dominant. If the NL goalie stays, the team will be unbeatable.

No other DMV teams worth commuting for outside of NL and BLC. I’d never give a dime of mine to ML and don’t feel like driving to Annapolis

Any idea on what changes, if any, the Hawks are going to make? Start with replacing fool blonde mom half the teams problems go away. Then upgrade a few players. Team needs more depth. After starters are out team drops off to rec player lax. High level club ball is not for everyone. Then once the team has all the talent we will see if the coach needs replacing.

They have been the best team in the age group for the past couple of years. BLC current players will be moving to NL to follow their coaches. NL players/ parents are not too happy about it because most likely the new coaches will only be taking a handful of kids as stated above. NL parents are not too fond of the options and playing on a B team and felt handcuffed about the situation. Until, BLC’s announcement of their new head coach. Which is way they are moving to BLC. Current BLC players that have not made the move just yet are now trying to figure out whether to stay or follow their coaches. Which is why NL is holding unofficial tryouts as we speak.

Wow, new dad to the game of lacrosse and it seems like one of the fastest growing sports on the planet. So excited to learn the game and this is the chatter…. Just went through the threads and I’m completely overwhelmed. Coaches putting massive amounts of hours in and sacrificing when we can barely keep up with all the practices and tournaments. And you want to call out individual parents, coaches and players…. This is why this sport will never get the recognition it deserves and go main stream. Well done superstars of 1994! I’m sure you’re just as awesome as you were then….

Parent of a 2030 here asking that the folks posting some of this [Censored] grow up and knock it off. Firstly, you’re all getting absurdly worked up over 6th grade lax. You’re playing a silly ego status game when you should be asking whether or not your kid will learn the game and live the game, will the new environment be supportive and welcoming or will you tarnish it before your kid even straps on a new helmet. And remember…and this goes both ways…if your BLC kid comes to NL, you are putting on an NL jersey. Same if your NL kid goes to BLC. Accept and be respectful. Realize a culture is in place and you can make the next 12 months great and fun or be a BadPerson and bring your toxicity before the first practice. Fact is none of you, including the coaches, know who’s on the team until after tryouts. Coaches will make picks and owners will have to agree and sign off. It will be based on merit. Yeah, there are a bunch of shoe-ins but that’s par for the course. Just relax and zip it and let the ELEVEN YEAR OLDS have their time to prove themselves without you making everyone stressed and miserable. Jesus…

Jesus… Mom, please! Coaches don’t know who they’re picking? Merit based? Hahaha! Good luck!

NLs current roster wouldn’t win the B division. [ I feel sorry for you, pathetic lost, talking [Censored] about 11 year olds. It was awesome watching you guys lose to 2way…the team NL tied and was on the way to beating…with their backup G in net…before the game got cut short from the weather delay. But yeah..wouldn’t win a B div. Jesus. Get bent.
