Nlf and NAL mean nothing. Rebels have been invited, they turned it down. 91 is a sinking ship. Everyone knows it except them Today, NLF and NAL are by far the best tournaments of the year. Anyone says different and they either don’t know, are lying, or not invited. You see this stuff all over this site though. Either they don’t know or they are trolling. I figure just trolling at this point. To actually know about this forum and not know how the tournament circuit works, which ones are most competetive, and how teams pick and choose tournaments, I’d say definitely trolling.

So what your saying is that at the 4th grade level it makes more sense to travel / fly/ drive across the country to play kids at the same age level VS staying local and playing against kids at the same grade level in the hotbed of LAX (Long Island)? I just don't see it - Apart from maybe Maryland I can't think of any other spot where if you or your family played lax that your kids would be picking up a stick once they can walk like they do in LI. Only true religion parents have bounce backs, goal/nets in their side yards. Don't need to travel across country for competition. Am I wrong?

91 sinking like the titanic, the are running tourneys that they used to dominate, they can’t even field competitive teams now I don’t know about a sinking ship. But they usually field very strong youth teams. So it’s surprising that their 31 team is not good. Sounds like they have some coaching drama with some kids that don’t belong on the field. They will continue to hide from the rebels and igloo because losing to those teams is bad for business. The one time they actually played rebels they got crushed. Remember we are talking about 2031 here. If that’s the case why have igloo and rebels played each other about 8 times yet have only played 91 or express once ? NAL in the fall, 91 wasn’t there. Igloo won it. Tri star in the fall 91 wasn’t there. Rebels and igloo were there. At almost every other age group these teams have played each other plenty. Of course they won’t invite the rebels or igloo to NLF this year. Their team will lose by a lot. The NLF isn’t as exclusive as you think. Mooselax, shore to shore and igloo have all been there. If you don’t think there’s ducking going on you you are just in denial. Losing to these 2 teams is bad for business

Nlf and NAL mean nothing. Rebels have been invited, they turned it down. Keep telling yourself that. The Express model/tournament schedule has proven to be very successful. Enjoy the time and wins while the kids are young. When the holdbacks come and the kids reach Catholic school age, the very best kids will gravitate to the same clubs as before. Think this will be true, but Rebels also positioning themselves nicely for future years with coaches at certain high schools/colleges across the island. They also own an indoor facility now which is great (this weekend for example my sons team gets to practice instead of cancel!) Think the big 3 will be 91, Express and Rebels.

Rebels have not been, nor will they be, invited to be a part of the NLF; I know that for a fact. Happy to hear their younger teams are competitive but, unfortunately, their older teams/teams are not. You won’t be joining the NLF because of your 30 and 32 team. NAL? Maybe. Not NLF

Yeah there’s some good teams in there. But there are also some real crappy ones. 91 and express even have their b teams play in it. Igloo, shore to shore and even mooslax have played in it. It’s not as exclusive as you think. And for the record the rebels have played in the NAL

Not sure about the '31 2Way team, but we'll find out soon enough because they are in the Great 8 '31 youth division, which includes, among others, Next Level Blue, 3d NE Red, Towermen, and Orange Crush.

No surprise all the younger teams will continue to be extremely competitive, good people involved doing it the right way. These teams will age up and with how young the director staff is the rebels are definitely a club to be weary about in 3-5 years

91 Titans still have 20+ players (not playing this weekend). 91 Warriors played 3 fall events and are playing first spring event this weekend. Same roster as the fall minus one. No added players. Strong first and second bracket, should make for a great Saturday.

Masone took his last b team all the way till graduation and had several d1 commits. You then have the former St John’s coach and the current head coach of McArthur high achool. That’s real solid coaching staff

There are no tournaments that anyone values here. Not taking away from wins, but the bigger clubs (year over year successful big name clubs) place emphasis on tradition and knowing that if they pick 4-5 tournamnents they know they will have the best competition at Naptown, NLF, NAL, Crabfeast and a couple of others. Those tournaments all sell out with waiting lists and attract teams from coast to coast. And unfortunately, none of them are here. Maybe when we get some better facilities we could get an NLF part 1 here on the Island. And this exclusivity is what keeps some smaller clubs from being truly successful in the end. No one wants to travel to LI to play in a mylacrossetournament or a blatant event where it’s a gamble on which teams show up. the smaller clubs get squeezed out of the biggest tournaments that are invite only, and their players sometimes get peeled off as well. All a viscious cycle of follow the money. These clubs have created exclusive well known events that are now traditon, in turn they line the same pockets every year.

However if you have a really talented team that is dominant they will get invited to these tournaments. A percent example is Legacy 2024 taz team. The rest of the club is all B teams. Taz was a top team and got invited to all those tournaments. Bottom line is if team is dominant it will get invited to all the top events.
