No questions Refs are calling games much tighter than first half of season. Spot light is on them. Teams that were getting away with cross checks, slap check to hands , and other cheap fouls are being called. This was part of many teams game plans.

Makes post season exciting with clean lacrosse ahead.

Complete team effort by BC. To win the ACC after North graduates says a lot about their team and their depth. Biggest question is whether Cuse can win the big game. Do you see them being able to battle back in a tight game like BC did - down 5 goals. Cuse is an incredibly talented team that looks great on the highlight reel shooting BTB, flipping their sticks after goals etc, but do they have the same heart, determination and discipline that BC does. I say NO. To win it all you have to be able to win a game like the one BC just won. BC's overall team effort, led by a few great players, in the second half was near perfection. When was the last time Cuse showed the same heart, determination and discipline.

It’s amazing 1 good game all season and all publications anointing her the Laxer, best marketing team In all collegiate sports. One publication called her the emotional leader of the team and the best midfielder in college, funny that her own teammates didn’t vote her captain. So so unfair she’s not even the best midfielder on her team, I wish these writers would just watch the games.

If there wasn't enough dislike for Duke already, the bush league move at the end of their win over Louisvllie today will certainly add to that group. Duke was up 1 goal, 22 seconds left, down a girl for a yellow card and Lousiville running their offense off a timeout. Duke intentionally runs a girl offsides as an extra defender. Clearly intentional and just horrible form and lack of class. I guess when you are having another disappointing season and are desperate, you do unsportsmanlike things.

Delaney is an amazing goalie but the true freshman Shea shined when it mattered most.

Your post is non-sense. Don't know hockey well so looked it up , Patrick Kane has been a captain of multiple teams he has played on. That said its not just 1 person posting about her lack of being a captain as I posted it previously (which I now wish I had not ) .I posted it more in reference to how these publications pick certain players to build them up regardless of how they are performing for the year.and just make things up like being " a leader or quarterback of the offense" when if that were true you would think they would have been voted a captain. Of course I have no idea how BC picks their captains so for all I know its a popularity competition , although I think most teams take it seriously and pick players they believe to be leaders.I think BS is a very good player but best middy in the country is a stretch. There are multiple middies as good if not better and it includes a team mate. She is having a good year by any ones standards but has never been a great defender going for too many make up checks, and not as good an offensive year as expected with too many turnovers. Its not a knock just an obsevation.

Can’t believe this lax forum became a hockey forum. As a Hawks fan myself. Kane was never captain. Jonathan Toews was voted captain. Took him years before the coaches gave him Alternate but that wasn’t voted by players.

If you ever played a sport in your life, you’d know the best players don’t always get named Captain. Maybe Belle isn’t that type of leader, so what?! Unfortunate injury, no doubt! Cross checks being thrown every game, high school included. Refs need to give yellow card for nasty cross checks. That will result in repeat offenders being ejected from games. Eventually things will change. Unless, of course, the rule changes that Coach Levy has proposed get passed. 2023 ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll – April 24

There’s a new No. 1 in Division I for the first time since Week 6, as No. 4 Boston College topped previously undefeated No. 1 Syracuse on Thursday, 17-16.

The Orange dropped to No. 2 as Northwestern took over the top ranking after clinching the Big Ten regular-season title with a 13-6 win over Maryland on Saturday evening.

Denver remained at No. 3 and remains the lone unbeaten team in the Top 25, while Boston College and James Madison round out the Top 5, respectively.

No. 24 Marquette made its first appearance in the Top 25 this week, with their regular-season finale against the Pioneers set for Saturday.

The ILWomen/IWLCA Poll will be unveiled Mondays throughout the season. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.
