Sounds like you have Hero's Green beating M&D next weekend and M&D loses the GA tiebreaker to Crush. I see M&D beating Hero's Green next weekend and losing a close GA to Crush. Really a shame only 4 teams go to the playoffs in a 14 team bracket.

M&D wouldn't have to win GA if they beat Heros because whoever wins that game will likely end the season with only one loss (unless either loses to Skywalkers). So lost of Heros/M&D game will probably have to go up against Crush's GA (who will probably have 2 losses after MDU game). Crush had such an easy schedule outside of 2 challenging games (no Pride, Skywalkers), could definitely see them making their playoff debut this year.

Their Club is mess right now and all their middle/elementary school teams should really be playing in the B league or MYLA. Maybe the 27 team is an exception.

You could say the exact same thing about SW. NEMS jumps around at the elementary school level but typically get an influx of talent once the local rec programs have run their course. NEMS is doing fine.

Are any of your kids doing American Select? And does anyone know who is supposed to be coaching the 28s? I saw that they announced a group of coaches, but didn't say who was coaching what year. Thanks!

Uh oh, can Pride sneak into that last playoff spot and will Crush take the overall #1 seed! Big game this weekend with MD United/Coppermine. A Coppermine loss would put Crush in the drivers seat for that #1 seed. And just wait until Crush reaches their full potential...watch out!

They will go undefeated this year...lose the very next game. Crush looked impressive, controlling draws, time of possession and were solid on defense all game.

Pride needs a lot of help to make the playoffs. If MDU beats Coppermine, it actually hurts Pride's chances as there are 4 1 loss teams. If Coppermine wins, then you'd have a 3 way tie of 2 loss teams with MDU, the lost of HG/M&D and Pride for the last spot. Pride will need help there on GA to beat out those other 2.

Crush only plays FCA, CCLax and HoCo black for the remainder of the season, so their goals against stat will stay low, which will make the difference if a 3 way tie does come into play for 1st. They had the easiest schedule of the top 5 teams. They played all of the bottom 5 teams and only 2 of the top 5 teams.

Out in left field scenario: MD United beats Coppermine and then Pride pulls the ultimate upset against Coppermine! In reality, we should have a 6 team playoff bracket...two worthy teams will be left out. Bracket could be set up just like the 29A bracket.

A)
Coppermine beats MDU AND pride M&D Beats Heros:

1)Coppermine (8-0)
2)Crush (7-1)
3)M&D (7-1)

4) 3 Way tie with Heros, MDU, AND Pride. MDU and Heros are neck and Neck with GA so it will be a tight finish.

B)
Coppermine beats MDU and pride AND Heros beats M&D:

1)Coppermine (8-0)
2)Crush (7-1)
3)Heros (7-1)

4) 3 way tie with MDU, M&D and Pride. Because it is a 3 way tie, head to head doesn't matter so GA is the stat again and MDU should have that one unless coppermine scores a lot on them (unlikely).

Coppermine Loses to MDU but Beats pride

1) Crush (7-1) gets #1 spot based on goals allowed even though they lost to coppermine
2) MDU (7-1) (currently hast the 2nd lowest GA)

Great summary! April 30th is a big day for the Pride program! If they take care of business against Hero's White they will face a Coppermine team that just played an intense game against MD United. Everyone knows Coppermine doesn't sub their two best players. Will they be rested enough to handle Pride?

The #1 tiebreaker for playoff seedings is head-to-head...then goals against.
So, If Coppermine and Crush both finish with 1 loss, while Crush GA is incredible, Coppermine gets the #1 seed since they won the head-to-head.

I agree and think Coppermine will win this game, but Pride has improved quite a lot. If Skywalkers can come within 2, it isn't TOTALLY impossible that Pride could win.

Agree. Coppermine is arguably the strongest 2028 team in the country. If they play their game, they should win.

No disrespect to Pride. It looks like they have come close to the top 6 (a tie, a one goal loss to Heroes, several two goal losses that were close games, etc) but have never beaten one of them. From their scores, they have improved on offense significantly. To beat Coppermine, they would have to play lights out on attack AND stop Coppermine on D--while winning the 50/50 balls etc. Not "TOTALLY impossible" but a tall order for sure.
